The family had a sleepover at our tour around Iceland. We rented two cabins and they were clean and had everything we needed for our sleepover. Nice scenery with the glacier and a lot of Icelandic Horses.
Me and my partner was staying in lambhus for 4 nights and we had a really nice time. We drove from reykjavik and aling the way we saw horses, lamb, black beach and glacier. The host of lambhus was very friendly and let us use the grill yo bbq and also there was a pool table we could use. The house we stayed in was nice and cozy with a kitchen, shower and table we were playing zatcy at night. The bed was also good and we slept very well. For us it was the perfect place to have our get away holiday and i highly recommend this place as a must visit if you are in iceland. It was peaceful and quiet, just the way we wanted it.
We were in Cabin nr.2 for 4 nights. Really peaceful and silent, and everything u need is included in the cabin. We enjoyed every second of it, and had an easy time finding something new to do every day in the area. More than worth it. Would love to come again.
Quite sincerely, I was apprehensive before reaching the lambhus...But directions were accurate and the place was exactly as described on the website. Small, but cozy and tidy.At times, we felt a bit cramped, and while the cabin experience is not a 4 star hotel, we were well protected from the elements ( furious unstoppable rain) and we had a great opportunity to talk to one another as a family, since there was only one room...We slept extremely well and felt beautifully isolated from the world. Check in and check out could not have been easier! Given the opportunity, we would gladly return any time!
Very nice folks at the check in. I was having a headache and the mom got me some painkillers from her own first aid kit. Beautiful view of the glacier and horses coming really close by. Cabin was clean with cooking facilities. We could park right beside the cabin. Wind is very strong in the area and with the open windows, it's howling. Sun rises over the the glacier and we enjoyed the stay. Only one drawback for small families staying there. The 30 mins hot water. We were told in advance so the bath was properly timed. Otherwise, it takes 4 hours to 'restock' the hot water. No Biggy for us since it's a stay for 2 adults.
