We were there for two nights in early Dec because we joined a blue ice cave adventure tour by Glacier Adventure. The hotel was only 15 mins away from Glacier Lagoon Jokulsarlon. The hotel was huge with a few blocks. Our rooms were spacious and clean though very basic. We had our

This is truly a wonderful hotel, with a fantastic restaurant and a neat little museum...right on the ocean. There isnt much in Hali, however this hotel covers everything you may need for your trip. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the rooms are nicely furnished and

The location is hard to beat - just 15 minutes from Jokulsarlon Lagoon. The breakfast is great and features some Icelandic delicacies not offered in other hotels. Staff is beyond friendly. The hotel restaurant is very cozy. The little museum on site is not to be missed!

Only go to this hotel if you want great scenery. Otherwise it’s a complete tourist trap. The rooms are nothing but average but the prices are similar to that of a 5 star hotel. You can a lot more bang for your buck just 15km down the road. They have a restaurant but neglect to

I am sorry you are dissapointed with our hotel and hope you although will be glad with your trip in Iceland. I just want to say that the buffet style of food are only over Christmas and its with our Icelandiic traditional Christmas food. Other days of the year we always have menu with other choices. Best wishes and hopefully your trip was good in Iceland

We left very early for our ice cave tour. It takes roughly an hour and a half to get there. If you are leaving later in the morning expect to a lot of inconsiderate people around you. You will not be able to get great shots of the cave without 50 or so people in your picture.

We travelled to Hali Comfort Hotel in January this year - in a hired Toyota Landcruiser. We had no problems - weather was not that cold - so we didn't have to deal with snow or difficult conditions. But I don't think this would have been a problem - may have slowed things down a bit if it was snowing. We loved having our own car (we were seven) - it allowed us to drive to the glacier lagoon when we wanted - we drove out at night to see the Northern Lights - it was amazing! It is a long drive to do in one day, particularly if you stop at one or two waterfalls along the way - but completely doable - leave Reykjavik early in the morning. We stayed two night at Hali and then one night at Vik on the way back up to Reykjavik. We booked an ice cave tour separately from an operator that picked us up at Hali Hotel.

Are there cribs for rent/use for infants?
Hi, I am not sure about cribs as we travelled just adults. The people running the place are very helpful so I am sure they will be able to sort it out with an advanced request.
