Stayed for 3 nights with the family. The scenery is nothing short of spectacular. The staff is very friendly and helpful, rooms are very clean and the breakfast is simple but good. Will definitely stay here again!

Fantastic location just off old R1 looking out across to the mountains over the fjord and under 15 mins from Akureyri. Very friendly and helpful hosts. Good sized rooms with lots of storage, en suite and a TV…not really needed!! Odd numbered rooms 101-109 in the main building get the fabulous views. Comfortable beds, rooms clean and warm. Walk around the grounds down to the shore - so quiet you can hear the birds wing-beats!! - or up the hills behind. There is also a converted silo with panoramic views and plenty of relaxing space in a deceptively large hotel. There are exercise bikes, table tennis and a billiard room! But overall the quiet and the views make this an excellent place to stay. PS food is good too

We stayed here for 1 night and were not impressed. Which was good: friendly person at the reception, nice view, ok-ish room: clean but not very personal Things lacking: - Hotel was more like a ghost hotel! We were only with 4 people there that night (2 rooms) - Lacking personality - No dinner served - Breakfast poor! No warm eggs. Only boiled eggs coming out of the fridge so not fresh. It doesn’t mean that if you only have 4 people in your hotel, you cannot do an effort here I have to admit that during our stay in Iceland, this was the hotel we didn’t like at all and I think there is a reason we were only there with 4...

Very nice hotel, great location near lagune. Good size rooms, comfortable, smells like new. They serve us a buffet dinner, variate and deliciouse. Both lamb and fish were yummy. Atmosphere is very cozy, interesting deco made from old tools used in farm and houses.

The hotel is very well located on the waterfront, with a great view, and a lot of peace. The rooms are large, clean, the bed has good quality bedding, and you have a TV. The bathroom is also clean and comes with cosmetics and a hairdryer. The staff is young, very kind and cheerful. I served breakfast, which was rich, I found everything I wanted and especially good coffee. I recommend this hotel!

We stayed with my girlfriend by doing research in North Iceland. The room we got was tidy and clean. Breakfast was really good - tea, coffee, juice and so on. But the most important was how the owner welcome us! He was so friendly, we had discussion about Iceland history it was amazing.

My husband and I stayed there for two nights. We had a lovely room in the annex with the view of the ocean. The common area and kitchen made it seem like home. Modern bathrooms spacious rooms and wonderfully engaging and helpful hosts made it a perfect stay and base to tour the region. You must climb the tower to get a view of the bay that you are visiting.

Hotel Natur is located about a 15 minute drive from Akureyri. Is a stunning location overlooking the fjord. Has a water tower that you can climb to get an even better view of the amazing surrounds. Is a large hotel that also caters for tour groups. Accommodation is basic but rooms are sufficient for a one nights stay. Beds were comfortable and provided an excellent nights sleep. Breakfast was of good quality and plenty of it. Only downside to the hotel is its distance from the town - need to organise yourself and the activities.

The hotel is located about 10 to 15 minutes drive from Akureyri town. We loved the location though because of the stunning views of snow capped mountains and fjords. There is a nice watch tower from where you can get 360 views. The rooms were small but clean with basic amenities and beds were comfy. The breakfast spread was good and had enough variety. It has a hot water tub near the main building and also ample parking areas. Overall enjoyed the stay.

At first we were a bit disappointed at not being in town but the location is stunning, overlooking the fjord and the snow capped mountains beyond. We had a room inside the annexe rather than in the hotel. The room fit out is basic but comfortable. Useful details such as a box of tissues or a kettle were missing and to our knowledge there was no coffee or tea freely available elsewhere in the hotel. The bathroom was on the small side as was the tv and there seemed to be only one local tv channel available due to signal issues. On the upside, the room had plenty of storage and the beds were comfortable. We missed the evening dinner buffet as we arrived just before 8pm but breakfast was a good cold selection with toasted options.
