1.5 - 2 km from the sea in Kyrenia. It's far away, but there is a shuttle service every two hours. A hotel surrounded by greenery, always spotlessly clean. I stayed there 3 years ago, but the hotel has been completely renovated. As someone who has stayed in almost all of the luxury hotels in Kyrenia, I can say that they are excellent in terms of price and performance. It has a large parking lot. There is a spa and massage service and the prices are reasonable. Ideal for families with children, children have a lot of fun and there are activities for them. Since I only stayed in a room, I can't say anything about the food quality, but this management is definitely good there. It is far from the beach, but they have an agreement with Sunas Beach Club and they have shuttle services. Sunbeds and umbrellas are free there, the things you buy are extra, but the prices are very good. Tea is 30, Turkish coffee is 35 and beer is between 0 and 80. Breakfast costs between 300 and 350 and main courses between 350 and 500. You can also get your towels from the reception, in exchange for a deposit, before you go. The fee is refunded when the towels are delivered on departure. The rooms are renovated and very spacious. The mini bar works but they deliver it empty. towels are new and clean. There is shampoo and soap. Only there is no safe in the room. Room cleaning is done every day. They have a technical service called Mehdi, which is a one-man army, and if something goes wrong, he goes around to fix it. You can choose it without hesitation, with your family or alone.

We visited as a family of 2 adults and a 3 year old in July for the day. We paid a small fee to use the pool facilities for the day. Overall we did have a lovely day however couldn’t help but notice some of the facilities are a little ‘tired’ in parts and need some tidying up. The pools are kept on the whole quite clean, however we do think there needs to be some monitoring of the slide pool as often there would be children walking up the slides, shaking the structures which was very unsafe. There was hardly ever any staff around the pool and we had to go and find a member of staff when the slides hadn’t been switched on at their allocated time. We didn’t eat lunch here but did buy drinks/ice creams which were very reasonably priced.

It was centrally located and a nice experience. It is very convenient to get everywhere by taxi. The rooms were also very large and spacious, and I would like to point out that it is an extremely reliable hotel, I forgot my jacket in the room (worth about $1,000). I called the hotel and told them that I had forgotten my jacket there, and they immediately searched for it, found it and shipped it to me. If I were to go to Cyprus again, I would definitely choose the same hotel 👍

The hotel is in an elevated position outside of Girne (Kyrenia), 45 - 50 minutes away by dolmus.
It is quite large and spacious. In summer there are also aqua slides and several pools, some of which are not yet in use. The ladder to the pool was unpaved and completely dilapidated. The thin pool towels, some of which had holes in them, had to be picked up from a laundry for a €5 deposit each.
The whole hotel is completely "old-fashioned" and urgently needs to be renovated. The rooms are filled with old, partly worn furniture, the minibar doesn't work, the voluminous curtains are covered in dust. The shower is unsightly and the water works via a solar system, so it can take up to 20 minutes for the water to heat up.
The safes are at reception. The dining room is like a train station hall, with several cats wandering around and begging. The meals are served as a buffet and the drinks are reasonably priced.
There is a bar by the pool that is also open in the evenings so you can have a drink. There is nothing like it in the area.
The staff were always friendly and helpful.
We stayed there for four nights as part of a tour group. Absolutely not recommended.

This is an honest review, after what took 2 hrs to get there we arrived at 1:30 to be in a que of people and the woman on the desk chatting to the locals, we were told our room wouldn’t be ready for another hour so to get some food, we put our stuff back in the car and set out trying to find the restaurant which was badly sign posted so took us a while to find. On entering the restaurant there were cats all over the floor and food scattered everywhere, the place smelt of air freshener and was just a hall with a few tables. We found a table to at hadn’t been cleaned, no cutlery and when trying to get a drink all the locals pushed in so we had a wait for a drink. The food options were apauling and only had a few, we left the hall feeling dirty and hungry as there was nothing my kids or us would eat. We decided to look around to see if there was anywhere else we could eat but was told we had to pay at the al a carte and there were no snacks what so ever during the day only breakfast, dinner and tea at the hall we had just eaten.

At this point I just wanted to get my room and get some propper food… so we walked back to reception to be told yes our room was ready, so after 10 mins walking in the hot sun we got to our room which smelt so strong of bleach our eyes were watering, The floor was dirty and the shower had no head on and was filthy so couldn’t shower. As a family of 4 we were told that the 2 beds and 3 pillows we had to all share and was left with one towel between us all.

The pool area had no beds or parasols, the water was merky so you couldn’t see to the bottom, no way was I letting the kids get in it.

Me and my husband looked at each other and decided we could not stay here so we left the key at reception and set back off on our 2 hrs journey home having to spend more money on food as we were all starving.

There were also another family of 4 who were also devastated at what they had witnessed, lucky for us we were only going for the one night. They had booked for 4 but decided also they couldn’t stay. This holiday is totally different to what was sold to us.

Dear Jodie D Thank you for visiting Riverside Holiday Resort and taking the time to provide feedback. We take comments of this nature seriously and we would like to verify some details. The official check in time is 2pm, prior to that rooms are only given out by availability. We understand that the signs to the restaurant may not have been enough to guide first time guests, we have since rectified that and have added clearer signs at more points. Riverside Holiday Resort is an internationally recognized 4* brand, cleanliness is of utmost importance to us. Part of maintaining the cleanliness includes staff being aware and ready to clean where necessary without the slightest inconvenience to our guests. Our housekeeping department makes sure the rooms meet our high standards of cleanliness at all times. Thorough inspections by the department heads are being carried out to ensure satisfactory standards are met, in instances where the guest may still have a query or request the Guest Relations department can be informed and the necessary solutions taken. Our buffet area has a capacity of 500 people, with enough tables to cater for all, making it sufficient for guests even at full capacity. We are happy to inform you that our personnel has increased in number and expertise, all used tables in the restaurants are cleaned and provided with the necessary cutlery before the next guests arrive, hence there is never a time when there are dirty tables. Our improvements also include addition of more food choices to our diverse buffet menu, catering to varying taste buds. Upholding health standards is paramount to us, this includes pool maintenance. Through use of a new cleaning chemical, the color of the water was affected, although completely clean. We have rectified the issues caused and our pools are back to the crystal clear color loved by many. The past season brought many new guests to our Riverside Holiday Resort family, resultant were less parasols available on some days than the turnout. We have taken measures in this respect and can assure you there are more parasols to increase relaxation. We would like to invite you to a more improved Riverside in the 2023 season! Kind Regards

The rooms at Riverside Garden Resort are large with a fridge, kettle (no tea or coffee provided so bring your own) and plenty of storage.
The site has Beautiful gardens with the sea & mountains in the distance. It is a tranquil setting. The Smell of flowers around the resort is lovely.

Breakfast could be good depending on the day. Some days it was not great.
Staff work hard to make your stay enjoyable
There are 3 lovely pools on the grounds. I had a fantastic massage by Mina. Visit the spa. You won’t be disappointed.

We Walked one night to the Taj restaurant about a 10 mins walk across the main busy road. Excellent Indian food.
A Small a la carte restaurant is on site with a limited menu but good food. There is Live music with dancing. We had a Really enjoyable evening.

There is free daily transport to the beach. We had a fabulous day there. Great food with free sun beds and umbrellas. The sea is crystal clear.

The negatives- Firm bed & lumpy pillows
The lighting in the room is really depressing.
It would help to have 2 areas on different sides of the huge dining room for hot drinks as it was always packed with people- And better coffee! Breakfast could be improved with more fresh fruit.

We heard some people complaining but we can honestly say we had a good stay

This was the worst vacation spot we have ever been to. My family was having a reunion after 30 years & unfortunately we picked Riverside. The service was awful. Very unorganized! None of the staff knew what was going on. Ever staff member made up there own rules. We were 10 people with two families of 3 so we only needed 4 rooms but they gave us & charged us for 8 rooms. We told them very day of our 2week stay that we only need 4rooms & they refused to make the adjustment. So we paid for 4 rooms we never even entered. Also we paid for all inclusive but some days they charged our rooms for food & drinks (water, soda & juice) and some days they said it was included in our stay. There was no rhyme or reason to the way they were handling our stay. Instead of us being able to enjoy our time together we had to argue with the staff & management. I even call one of the owners & she was unwilling to help fix the situation. I made it very clear that I would be writing a review & she did not seem to care. If you would like to enjoy your vacation stay somewhere else.

The Riverside garden resort hotel in Northern Cyprus left a very good impression on our family! Our daughter spent four weeks at this hotel while attending the Maksatics summer film camp. The hotel is located on a large area, which is very beautiful and well-kept. There are several cool pools and a tennis court on site, which allowed our daughter to try out a variety of sports. The hotel rooms have been renovated, they are clean and comfortable.

It was very pleasant to communicate with the Russian-speaking hotel staff, who were always ready to help with any questions. We are especially grateful to the employee Sanita, who showed great friendliness and friendliness.

Although the hotel is not on the seafront, the beach is only 3 minutes by car. In addition, the hotel provides its own transport, which runs regularly to the beach. We were pleasantly surprised by the organization of transport.

Overall, the Riverside garden resort in Northern Cyprus is a very good place to stay. If you are going on holiday to northern Cyprus, we recommend using the services of this hotel.

It is 3 km away from the sea and shuttles are available every 2 hours. However, drinks are paid at the beach. I can say that the food is very delicious and rich in variety. It's not just that the food goes out of the restaurant. Drinks taken while sitting in the garden are usually served in hard plastic or cardboard cups such as mica. It is a large holiday village among greenery, with wonderful pools. The rooms are large enough and cleaned daily. The staff, especially Mr. Yusuf, is a friendly and talkative young man. When we stayed, there was only live music on Friday and Saturday evenings. Other than that, the nights were quiet. I think animation could have made it more enjoyable. Since it is far from the center, it gets boring when there is no activity to do after dinner in the evenings. Other than that, I can recommend it to families who want to rest and have fun.

Great spot close to the mountain and beach. Green everywhere spotted by the blue of the 5 swimming pools. Massage and spa as well as Turkish bath. Restaurant and bar available. Very friendly receptionists and staff.
Rooms are good with amenities, we found that the TV's don't have internet access however HDMI is available and honestly you might not have much time to watch tv.
Massage closes around 10 pm
Overall a very nice hotel. I recommend it for family visits and I will comeback solo or with friends.

There is a small convenience store opposite the reception but I am not sure of it's opening times. There didn't appear to be any major stores in the area and you are about 8 to 10 kilometres outside Kyrenia. The hotel is situated up the side of a mountain next to a cemetary and residential accomodation. There is a bus into Kyrenia at the bottom of the hill but it is a bit of a walk. Taxi's can be called by the hotel. Personally I wouldn't stay in this hotel if you want shops, try one closer to the centre of town.
