Seaside charm in the center of Rauma On the bay of Otanlahti, right by the Baltic sea, you'll find the park-like holiday resort of Poroholma. The resorts unique milieu, with its 18000-century Lace villa and sail ship harbor, provides the perfect setting for a successful holiday. At the resort's high-quality caravan and cabin area, you can stay right on the beach or sheltered by trees. There are a number of restaurants at the resort, in addition to the variety of activities, ranging from karaoke to cable wakeboarding. One of the gems of Poroholma is its tall ship harbor. Which is expanding for the summer of 2016, when the 49 meters long raw sailed ship Gerda, Finland's largest tall ship in sailing condition, arrives to Poroholma. The resort is a part of the Otanlahti Beach Park, from where you can also find many sports areas, an outdoor swimming pool and an open-air summer theater. Poroholma is also the official water bus port, with departures for cruises in the archipelago of Rauma. Idyllic Old Rauma, an UNESCO World Heritage Site, is within a walking distance from Poroholma. It is the largest unified historical wooden town in the Nordic countries. Even today it is the heart of the town, with little boutique shops, cafes and restaurants for you to enjoy. You can also reach Old Rauma conveniently from the resort with the city train Kake, that operates regularly from Poroholma to the city center.

If you come with a tent - I do not recommend. Had to take money back and leave due to reception misleading instructions. They do not care for tent campers and have no willing to come back with any apologies or give money back or anything else eventough error was on their side. Place and services are ok but customer service is on a novice level.

We were looking for a place to stay in Uusikaupunki-Rauma area and found this place. Absolutely beautiful location. It was Saturday afternoon in July and the place was packed. But we found a spot for our camper. 36 eur for a spot for a camper without electricity was quite a lot though. Restrooms were not so clean and there were not that many of those. The kids loved the playground. It was quite lively evening and the bar close to us was quite loud but we slept well anyhow.

Really nice camping situated by the sea. They had beautiful boats by the harbour where they served good food.. When we checked in we were taken on a tour around the camping in a golf car so that it would be easier to choose a place to park our caravan. Good service. A small tourist train takes you in too old Raumo for 5 euro.

Visited quickly the Poroholma resort and camping. The area is very beautiful: long sandy beach and lots of trees. There is few restaurants, some are in old wooden sailing ships. It seemed to be very popular place: lots of campers, motor homes, tents and also there is some rooms/cottages one can rent.

It was a miserable rainy night when we were handed over our little hut. It does not have a WC but it does have a coffee maker, fridge, typical wooden furnishing and one off sheets. Best bring your own though. The variety of options for sauna on site was impressive. It was October so we were nearly the only people around. Very quiet. Shared kitchen facilities. Just want we needed for a few days. The handler even took us for a ride in his golf car to show us around the site.
