I have stayed in this hotel already a handful of times, all of those stays being superb, this time though, there was some things i noticed. Firstly, all the glasses and mugs + other dining accessories were absolutely filthy, like they have never been washed. But then again, the room did not even have a room service menu in it so i had no use for them anyways.. Also the floors were not vacuumed properly, as they had pieces of dirt and other crumbs on them. The bathroom door also had some weird brown liquid spilled on it which had not been cleaned well. My main concern was the cleanliness of the room, especially in the moment of a pandemic. Also the huge lines in check-in are ridiculous, and the long queues to the lifts.
Decided to have a staycation at Clarion with my boyfriend for my birthday. The service was amazing (ie chocolates and a birthday card in the room, free robes and slippers as a courtesy to the sauna area). The lady who helped us at the front desk was named Johanna and she was an absolute delight! The room was clean, a huge plus for the bathtub and the wooden floor, as well as the incredible view. The infinity pool and saunas on top of the building were so beautiful. A great stay at this hotel for sure, only minus would be the elevators (4 elevators for 16 floors makes it a little chaotic during rush hour).
To start with; we are retired and travell worldwide several times a year and always stay at 5* hotels. I was quite hesitant of staying at Clarion's because of the mixed reviews but decided to give it a try and such a good idea that was! Everyone was extreamly friendlý and helpfull, our room was spotless, lovely Rituals products, extreamly confortable bed, so quiet and had an exiting view from the 10th floor and our visit to Sky bar was such fun. No rush during quite an adequit breakfast. Perfect stay, honestly speaking, and an exelent quality-price ratio and we will definitely stay there again.
The hotel is new, clean, and comfortable. Not luxurious though... 4,5 points. There is a bar with a view, gym, sauna and a small swimming pool on tho top. The room was clean, quiet and the bed was good. The scandinavian style big breakfast was good and the restaurant with a sea view was quite pleasant The sea view from 14 th floor towards city centre was great. The hotel is situated about 1,5 or 2 km from the city centre, but there is a tram stop beside the hotel. I recommend using trams in Helsinki Nothing to complain about. Perhaps not the most luxurious hotel in Helsinki, but very comfortable. Yes, I would come again.
Had a lovely evening at Sky room with an amazing sunset view. The best part was the bartender Benjamin, who made us cocktails of his own. The best drinks I have ever had - not exaggerating. His cocktails were not on the menu yet, but I hope and believe that will change soon.
