Nice Hotel with a great view, but service was not what I expected in a hotel like this. Restaurant staff both in the bar and at the main restaurant were somewhat unresponsive and slow. I also think that 17 euros for sending my ring back to my home adress in Finland is not good service, but overpriced exploitation. If you come to the hotel by car, be ready to walk - nearest parking facilities are way further than you would expect from a conference hotel.
The superior double room was spacious with excellent views and booking experience was just stunningly great! The bed and pillows were comfy. Excellent soap selection. The check in process was quick as was check out. Breakfast was good. The entire building was clean and the rooftop bar had great views and atmosphere though very expensive. The only downside was a problem with the mobile key which didn't work very well. Overall a very pleasant stay!
I find this hotel overrated… the rooms are very loud very noisy Street not much stuff in the lobby to attend the customers restaurants closed most of the time , No hair dryer in the room had to ask for it, no water…I will go to Indigo Hotel in the center much better…
Because of the long tram queues at West Harbour on arrival, we walked to this hotel and booked a room with my Nordic Choice points. As a Nordic Choice Platinum member, we got an upgrade to a Superior. The hotel was quite fully booked and we had two options to choose from: a sea view room from the 4th floor or a back view room from the 10th floor. We chose the sea view room. However, the view could not be properly admired. In the morning the sun was shining against the very dirty window. For a longer stay, I wouldn't choose this hotel. The storage space is very limited and every surface is covered with lamps or other stuff. Even superior rooms are quite small. The breakfast has a good selection of food but it can get crowded. Luckily, it was served until 12:00 on Sunday morning and probably that made it a little bit calmer. We arrived 5 minutes before our breakfast slot and found a clean table quite easily.…
This is the fifth time I’ve stayed at the hotel. It is convenient for a hospital I am going to for treatment. Each time, it has got worse and tonight ish the last time I will book here. The restaurant staff don’t know where to find the menu and when it arrives it is now basically burgers and the staff are clueless. I left the restaurant to order room service and found the phone doesn’t work. I ordered room service by going to reception but I have no confidence it will arrive: it’s an absolute shambles of a place.
Stylish Scandinavian hotel with well equipped rooms to relax or work, outside the busy city centre. I liked the well equipped gym & extra plus for the nice yoga area! Special mention about The Kitchen&Table Restaurant both for breakfast and dinner. Good public transportation
Finally a long awaited staycation but Clarion Helsinki does not deliver. You expect a high end stay but besides the lobby and the sea views the quality is put into the wrong things. I especially called in advance to let the front desk know that I was gifting the stay to my partner and I didnt want them to talk about the hotel room price once we arrive. The staff member blurted out loud the amount and it was so tacky. I booked the room online, I know the cost without going over it at the front desk! Rooms are small and uninviting. The hotel tries to impress you with the designer furniture but you can obviously see the wear and tear already: our bathroom door had holes in it and the ceiling panel was dislocated. The room service menu has only a few overpriced choises on it - we passed. The sauna and pool are small and you feel cramped especially due to the pandemic. There was a drunken man opening the door to the ladies’ sauna and calling for his partner to join him in the pool: where they openly had sex. Just horrible! Thankfully the bed was comfy and the breakfast was good but they did not save our horrid experience and we just wanted to go home. We’re never returning.…
Very comfortable hotel. Rooms not large but good value. Very very clean. Mustafa and his co workers in the restaurant were really fantastic. I think the restaurant sensibly offers a short menu with quality products well prepared and doesn't pretend to be fine dining. Too many restaurants in Helsinki promise much but fail to deliver.
I stayed for the first time in this wonderful city hotel directly at the water. Each room offers a sea view and the city center is in walking distance. The staff is very friendly and helpful and it was an absolutely nice stay. The rooms are stylish and comfortable. Will definitely come back!
Hotel is relatively new and therefore rooms are neat and in relatively good condition. Superior Sea View rooms offer good guality but nothing spectacular. Top floor outdoor pool and sauna combo is really nice. We did not go to hotel’s reataurants except for the breakfast which was very good. Hotel is located pretty close to Helsinki city centre and is only short tram ride away. No parking available but there’s one underground parking 10-15mins on foot from the hotel. Sea view in our case was actually city/sea/shipyard. View itself was pretty great despite of the shipyard part of it. Unfortunately the drawback of the shipyard during our stay was the continuous noise which basically did not allow us to sleep at all on the 11th floor. So if you are looking for peaceful and relaxing stay bear in mind there’s always a chance of these unexpexted events. This is why our stay went from good down to poor. Never been as tired after a holiday. Based on our experience I would not recommend to stay in Clarion Helsinki hotel at least in Seaview rooms facing the shipyard.…
