The location is great and the rooms were clean but that’s almost it. The hotel itself is dated and feels “old”. The recommended breakfast for which the hotel once was famous for was below average compared to similar hotels.
Good location and easy to find. Lovely hotel with a lot of charm. The people that works here are so friendly and are giving a high Clas service. Easy and fast check in. So Nice room. Breakfast that can satisfy even the most picky ones. The restaurant served us lively Italian meal. Yummy 😋 Under the hotel is a huge garage with lots of space to charge your hybrid car. The hotel gives discounts on the parking. I will be back 👍🏻
Stayed here for two consecutive weekends. Got an upgrade to a King Envy room first time. It is in the old part of the building. Room is very worn out. Bathroom has moldy silicones and the shower air vent is almost closed up due to not been cleaned. Quiet room facing inner court. AWFUL lumpy pillows. When told the receptionist about it her reaction told me this is a known issue. We asked for better pillows for the second stay and the wish was fulfilled, so many thanks for that! Much better the second stay though the pillows are incredibly small - I don’t think I have seen this small pillows in a hotel anywhere. Second stay we checked in on Christmas Eve in a really nice Sky Loft and a Christmas dinner. Staff greeted at reception by saying ‘you have a reservation?’ As it was Xmas eve I would have expected ‘Welcome and Merry Christmas’… Or a Xmas greeting at some point of the check in process. But no. Other than that staff was really friendly and helpful. Sky Loft had the same mold problem in the shower silicones but other than that a really nice and cozy room. Breakfast is very basic. Even a bit limited. On Christmas Day there were a few more options but still very basic. Breakfast room tables are so worn out that it hurts the eye. Clearly a big change as Klaus K used to have excellent breakfasts. Christmas Eve dinner was not worth mentioning. Cold cut buffet was so trimmed to minimum it was not even funny. Everything was good though. All and all seems this hotel has lost the touch, toned down everything from cleaning to kitchen and has become very, very average. Sad. Not coming back as Helsinki is full of fresh options for the same price.…
I always stay at Klaus K and I always think that it can't be any better in the future because it's already so nice. Instead, the staff of Klaus K always manages to surprise me and exceed my already high expectations.
I am fairly certain I should never have been sold the room I was, given that the rest of the floor was being renovated. I told the staff that I was not happy about this and the hallway being a mess. They were only mildly apologetic and explained that there was a renovation ongoing, as though it was a normal state of the hotel. Had I known, I never would have booked a room at this hotel. There were construction workers constantly in the rooms and hallway around me making noise from early in the morning and it made me quite uneasy not knowing if my room would be secure. Also, I am fairly sure that housekeeping avoided the floor because of the ongoing renovation - hence my room was not cleaned during my visit. The location is good and room itself reasonably spacious but limited in amenities, bathroom towels were very rough to the touch, no room service available when I arrived, breakfast was a fairly sparse offering. Definitely not a 4 star hotel and very disappointing for the price.…
The reality of this place is not at all like in the photos. The room was small, dark and dusty. The bathroom was tiny. Cleanliness overall can be improved. Quite disappointing especially because I feel their advertising contains false and misleading information about the quality of the hotel.
Great location in the middle of bustling Helsinki, still the hotel is very clean, calm and peaceful. Staff is helpful all the way, breakfast room is cozy and the lemon merenque pie was an absolute delight. Highly recommened.
KlausK remains one of my favorite hotels in Helsinki even after trying top rated ones such as St. George and F6. Don't get me wrong, they are nice too, but at Klaus K I know exactly what I get, it's not pretentious, and the location is my favorite. At St George, which I admit is much newer, I paid 350€ for a room that was so small it didn't even have an easy chair, let alone a couch, only an uncomfortable tiny desk chair. I felt like I was paying more for the fancy looks. For comparison the Sky Studio at Klaus K is €150 and Loft 185€. F6 is another one I liked, but the location here is a bit better. One thing to note though - certain rooms ("Desire" and "Passion", I think) are outdated and are being refurbished soon. I recommend picking one of the Sky rooms which I really liked.
such a pretty hotel close to everything needed. close to shopping centers and train station, coffee places and restaurants. kind customer service and had a variety of essentials for free, such as a toothbrush for myself having forgotten it. clean, pretty and comfortable.
Hotel is in excellent location and the staff is helpful and friendly BUT the hotel is also very worn out and for the price I paid, the “envy”rooms were a disappointment. I was first given room 306, which was very small and dark and only had two small windows close to the ceiling. A very claustrophobic room. After going to ask for a different room they changed me to room 307, which has high ceiling and a big window, and was nice even if worn out. In the bathroom you could see mold spots in the shower, again something I would not expect when paying 200€ per night. When I reported it the next morning they said they’ll clean it up and that older rooms will be renovated in the future. There are better hotels in Helsinki for the price.
