Whatever brings you to Helsinki, Klaus K Hotel welcomes you to the heart of the city where the old Art Nouveau buildings meet the modern Scandinavian life style. The hotel’s design is inspired by Finland’s national epic, Kalevala. Throughout the hotel’s interior there are small details that bring you to the world of Finnish folklore and mythology. Mystique, passion, desire, and envy are themes that have inspired Kalevala stories as well as us. Klaus K Hotel is the first Lifestyle Preferred hotel in Helsinki. Some of our very unique rooms are created in collaboration with the most famous Finnish contemporary artists.

The hotel is located down town not far away from the famous churches, shops and ferries. The rooms are nice, clean and quiet. The breakfast buffet gives you a perfect start for the day. The italian restaurant is always busy and serves good pasta dishes. Really a place to come back!

We were on a Northern lights tour in Lapland and spent 2 nights in Helsinki before our return flight back to Florida. Couldn't have asked for a better hotel! The location was ideal and perfect. You can walk to almost everything, including the nearby Helsingfor Train Station (although the walk to the train station not recommend if you have large luggage to drag as most streets are cobblestone and it becomes tiresome... Take an Uber from train station to hotel if your phone works). Rooms were VERY comfortable, chic and modern decor. It is also VERY safe. We had to use key card just to activate elevator then again just to entry the hallway where our rooms were at and finally, to open the door. You also need to insert the key card in a slot next to the door to activate power. Their rooftop floor has amazing views of this beautiful clean city and we had it to ourselves most of the time. One night it was very cold we decided to order pizza and we took it to the rooftop to eat with a view. The rooftop has heated indoor and outdoor for smokers. Great Choice to lodge in if ever staying in Helsinki.

Stayed here for one night in February 2020, and there were just too many things that weren’t up to 4 star standards. I had chosen single room, and the small size was totally okay - I knew this when booking. However, there were just too many things missing/poorly designed: - bad sever smell in the bathroom - you couldn’t use the sink without shower ”wall” hitting you constantly - after shower, the whole bathroom floor was wet, and nothing to dry it with - so when visiting toilet, you wet your feet every time - aircon was really cold and adjusting it didn’t help. Also, the cold air comes straight to your head when in bed - no water boiler, tea/coffee, not even a single spoon! - no place for luggage, except floor - no slippers - at breakfast, the staff took absolutely no contact, so couldn’t even order cappuccino (which was btw not included in the price) Unfortunately I won’t return. I usually stay at Indigo, where the rooms and the breakfast are just perfect!

Dear Maarit_12, thank you for your review. It is highly appreciated. I am very sorry your experience was not a good one. We recognize the challenges you mentioned in our rooms. At the moment we are really looking forward to some plans which include renovation in the older rooms. We do have 30 Sky Loft rooms, which are more spacious and more modern. If you could consider returning, I highly recommend those rooms for you. I promise I will talk with our managers about the service at the breakfast. I totally agree with you, staff is there for the guests and according to our brand there should be active recognition and greeting. I am sorry, we did not succeed this time. Yours sincerely, Hanna Kiuru Klaus K Hotel

Overall a nice place to stay. We booked a sky loft and the design is very nicely done. Also very quiet although at one of the main roads. For sure a recommendation in Helsinki. Room for improvement are especially on the information side. There is a spa on the second floor but i did neither find a written information about opening hours or treatments nor on the tv information. Furthermore the breakfast room on weekends is far too small and the buffet (especially the bread one) is different to the one during the week. Should not be the case.

Dear Waltijj, thank you for your review, it was nice to receive it. Actually, the spa is in the same building but it does not belong to our property. We do co-operate with them, but we do co-operate with also other spas nearby. From our reception you are able to have more detailed information. I totally agree with you, our breakfast is meant to be the same during weekend and weekdays. I will find out more from our Executive Chef what has happened. Thank you again for your feedback and welcome again! Yours sincerely, Hanna Kiuru General Manager Klaus K Hotel

First impression of this place. It's crap. We told them two days in advance that we were checking in late and they were meant to supply food and drink on arrival. What a surprise, they have provided nothing. Not even an apology. Look for somewhere else is my advice.
