The breakfast buffet was fabulous. And the cost of the room seemed very reasonable, though I am not terribly well-versed in the normal rate for a hotel room in Helsinki. No pool, but this wasn't a concern for us. Great staff. Jatta was unfailingly courteous and helpful when we had a tiny issue with our fridge.
The locasion was good in the centre of Helsinki. Very comfortable bed and the room was nice and not noisy. Breakfast was great. I only stayed for one night but could have stayed there longer if I had the opportunity.
We visited hotel Klaus K for 4 days. Booked the Envy Room, there was cold, heater didn’t work. They upgraded us to the 6th floor, that room was really tiny, one of two radiators worked, quality of air was really bad, we woke up many times during those three nights , there was no fresh air in that room and we couldn’t open windows. Air condition was murmuring above our bed. We felt like getting flu in that room. Walked a lot outside and started to feel better , but same symptoms returned quickly after coming back to room 637. Sore throat, cough, study nose. Corridors were labyrinthine and wall to wall carpeting worn out. Stairs up and down on the way to elevator. The general view dark and not classy. Our room was not cleaned on Saturday 2 pm. Only one chair in that room. No space to hang clothes. We both got back aches in that too soft king size bed. When we went to breakfast there was plenty of people , no free tables and broken glass and glass fragments beside the apple juice automat. Definitely no recommendtions. - 1 star hotel.…
Totally misleading.... The first room resembled a Mc Donald wall with a Menu written allover. This is for small children. The heating did not work, neither did they repair it. They upgraded me to a better one in the 6th floor. This one is for Mickey Mouse ! At the best 20m2. No cupboard just a tiny hanging space. On Sunday afternoon, at 16.40 pm my room was still not serviced. Breakfast in the 1st floor is like a battlefield every morning, simply not enough space. There is no coffeeshop either.
There are a number of positives for sure: great breakfast, friendly staff, great location, but rates overall as poor and is let down by some very simple items; no WiFi in room (mentioned to staff twice but I’m not sure anyone actually looked at getting it fixed) , curtains too narrow for the windows allowing far too much light in and uncontrollable heating set to super high ( we had it set on the coldest possible temperature but still had to have window open). Overall a frustrating stay. Could be amazing but will avoid until there’s been a refit.
The hotel experience started all the way from hotel reception when we were greeted with such enthusiasm that it felt like we were really expected at Klaus K! We had reserved a Sky Balcony room, since we were hoping for a room that would be quiet and have great views to urban Helsinki. We weren’t disappointed. The room was amazing with a comfortable king size bed, a large balcony and even a hot tub for two in the bathroom. The room was separated from the general corridor with another door making the room really quiet. Every detail in the room seemed really carefully planned to make it as cozy as possible. I even enjoyed a cup of coffee on the balcony, despite the crisp February weather in Finland. Breakfast was pretty nice and we were able to choose a less crowded time slot for that. We will definitely revisit this hotel in the future as well and we can recommend spending a relaxing staycation at Klaus K!…
Stayed for three nights and had a single room facing the street. Location is excellent to explore the city, you can walk almost everywhere. A few blocks away from the main shopping area, central station, etc. The tram stops right in front of the hotel as well. The room was compact but well equipped. Wifi worked well and breakfast was ok. Common areas could use an update, especially the hallways.
We spent two nights at the hotel on our way from Dubai to Rovaniemi and one night on our return. The hotel was was well equipped with all the basic amenities. The staff were very friendly and very obliging, specially the night duty manager Mohammed who went out of his way to accommodate all our requests and made our stay very comfortable. The decor however, could be refreshed with less bulky seating and more storage space in the rooms. But overall a lovely place with a nice Italian restaurant and conveniently located in the city centre. I would return to this hotel with no hesitation
We have stayed at this centrally located hotel many times. Only once in the older rooms and other times in the newer Sky rooms on the top two floors. This time, I opted for the older rooms and booked a Desire room. There are three room types for the older rooms: Passion, Desire, and Envy according to the room size. As a Nordic Choice Platinum member, we were upgraded to an Envy room. I had asked for a room with a bay window to the beautiful Bulevardi street. Our room was very spacious. However, the space could have been much better used. The two chairs had a strange location under the television. With a self-made transfer of the furniture, the room became more practical. From the marks on the parquet floor, you could notice that we were not the first ones doing that. Our stay had an excellent value of 95 euros per night (flexible offer rate including breakfast). If buying the breakfast separately, it is 25 euros per person. The breakfast (especially on the first morning) was the best one we have had at this hotel. It was pleasantly calm. The food selection is quite wide and of very good quality. The second morning was not quite as good. The creamy scrambled eggs had been changed to the typical powder scrambled eggs Finnish chain hotels like Sokos and Scandic are also serving. The staff was friendly. There was a little mix-up with our late check-out but that was handled.…
