The hotel is in a great location. Close to the city centre and train station (ten minutes walk). Some have described the room as industrial but I would say more utilitarian. Although short on ‘wardrobe space’ and what they have is very open plan the rooms are incredibly comfortable and clean and the shower and bathroom very modern (and clean). The beds were very comfy and the room nice and warm and easy to control the temperature. Breakfast was included in the room rate and was very very good. Lots of options (hot and cold) and lots of drink choices (tea, coffee, fruit juices etc). This is a real plus for the hotel and makes it incredible value. Although it would have been nicer to have more packing space for a short stay (two to three nights) there was nothing stopping this being a five star rating and we will definitely stay again if back in Helsinki. Thanks also to the staff who were all very helpful and polite.

We had a room that overlooked the inside of the hotel (the dining area, which was unique, but you definitely need to remember to close those curtains otherwise everyone can see into your room. The curtains were blackout so no issue with light or noise. The décor was very industrial, which we loved and the room very comfortable. The room was compact, but suited us for what we needed. There is no desk if that is important to you. The bathroom was great! Huge shower and no mould, etc. The breakfast was fantastic - tacos and churros were unique options as well as the usual hot and cold breakfast options you'd expect. We also had an evening meal and cake from the café and these were delicious too. Our only complaints were around the servicing of the room. They did not replace tea and milk in the room each day so we had to take them from breakfast. They also didn't replace our cups - they took them away, but didn't leave replacements, so again, a trip to reception to ask for more. They also didn't wipe the surfaces in the room as there were still ring marks from drinks. There is body lotion in the room, which was only about a quarter full when we arrived and no more was ever added, so ran out near the end of our stay. If not for this, we'd have happily given 5 stars.

The restaurant in the hotel has shockingly bad service, this is one of the only places where I have been actively ignored by the wait staff, in a quiet and not even 30% full dining area. When finally asked if I was ok, I was told it was my fault as I had not waited to be seated. Next to a non-existent sign. Ate here before and the food is good, but it is very expensive for what you get. €44 for a pepper steak which is tiny. No thanks

Perfect Hotel for my business trips: Modern, simple and practical design, equipment in rooms s good, casual atmosphere, plenty of space to meet or work in the atrium. Nice and friendly staff, good breakfast and the location in the City center and close to train station is perfect.

Stayed two nights at the Hotel Mestari after arriving in Finland. It feels like a small boutique hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. WiFi was excellent. Breakfast was more than sufficient for our needs though nothing to write home about for those used to the choices during breakfast in Asia. Our room was on the 4th floor. Bed was rather high or maybe that’s the style in Finland? Room wasn’t large but good enough size for us. Had soap via dispenser and body lotion but otherwise, not many amenities in the bathroom. Not even a house slipper. Location is a short walk to the Kamppi Helsinki Mall. Lots of shops and restaurants along with the bus and subway station. There’s also a convenience store across the street. Not a bad choice for anyone visiting Helsinki.

Hotel is fairly new and it shows: rooms are modern and clean. Very nice in my opinion. Also the location is very good for any activity in city center. Staff was friendly and helpful. However, the temperature in the room was really hot even if air conditioning was at maximum and temp set to 19 C. We only stayed one night, otherwise we would have tried to get it fixed. Breakfast has been complemented in some reviews we read before booking. Zurros at breakfast is something you don’t see every day. They were really tasty. Points for that. Otherwise the selection was very average for a hotel in Finland. Because of those reviews I would have expected it to be a lot better.

We stayed here for one night before going to our air bnb and this hotel is awesome. The room was very small but the overall was fantastic. The bed was heavenly and the bathroom was modern. We had the buffet breakfast which was deadset chaotic! People everywhere but the food was good. A short but overall very good stay.

Stayed for one night, for the price point a few things could be improved. Toiletry set would have been nice, just soap, lotion, body wash and shampoo provided. Mini bar was plentiful. No wardrobe in the room, just hanger rack. No bathrobes or iron provided. The room is cool looking but it’s small, breakfast was great and plentiful. For one or two nights this is a great hotel but wouldn’t stay longer.
