Conveniently located directly in the city center immediately in front of tram & bus stops, just a very short distance from the train station. Shopping and restaurants within minutes walk- if not seconds.

I stayed in the Marski in October to attend a conference in Helsinki. Overall, a really nice hotel but (as of October 2017) the rooms were pretty outdated. The same holds true for the bathrooms. However, the bar was excellent and the breakfast included a huge variety of local and

Very friendly staff, nice hotel, good stay and excellent location. Pick this hotel, it's worth of it. Good value for your money. Near all the best places in Helsinki. Rooms are little out of date, but very tidy.

Breakfast was exelent, as it is in all hotels in Finland. Room was old and dingy but clean. Bathroom needs renovation and do it quikly please. Poor value for money. I dont recomend this hotel at this money.

Only the quality of the staff saves this review from a terrible rating. Truly awful accommodation. Torn stained bedstead, thin lumpy mattress, stained old bathroom, roasting hot without ability to alter temperature. Dreadful. But they do have plans to renovate....about time.

Hi, kindly advise if it is easier to reach your hotel by train or bus please?
I'm not sure the hotel will be answering questions here on trip advisor. But anyway, I can tell you that the main Helsinki train station is 5 minutes away, right beside the bus station. So both are possible.

Is there a hot-water heater or coffee maker in the rooms?
No, unfortunately not (if I rember correctly). There is a bar / restaurant downstair where you can buy some coffee however.

Due to some unfavourable comments re your hotel, we need assurance that we are making a good choice due to its location. Four of us adults would like to book two Standard Family because it looks nicer and more spacious on line. Is it a good choice? Many thanks for your help.
Dear SimpletonOzyozyozy, Thank you for your question. You are warmly welcome to Scandic Marski. We will definitely make sure that your stay will be pleasant! We can go through your rooms together upon arrival. For that, please contact General Manager Jouko Puranen before your arrival. Best regards, Scandic Marski

early check-in?
Yes, though depending on availablility and time it may incur an extra charge - we arrived by train at 9am and while we could not check in before 2, it only cost us 30 euros to check in immediately and that included breakfast for both of us (which would be 20 euros by itself) - it was a good value for us as we had not yet eaten, and allowed for many extra hours that first day. I have heard via other reviews that they were charged more euros for fewer hours; but for us, the 30 euro charge for 5 extra hours and a meal was very reasonable.

We are planning on staying at this hotel for 10 days in January...we are just booking the standard room. Any suggestions would be appreciated on which floor, which part of hotel is nicest and I should request when booking. Thanks
Dear Karen E, please contact our hotel directly and we will make sure to give you a couple of rooms to choose from when you arrive! Please let us also know if you have any other special requests! Warmly welcome! Best regards, Jouko Puranen General Manager Scandic Marski
