Renovated warehouse with comfortable rooms and great breakfast buffet. Near conference center. Easy to walk to most sites of Helsinki. Limited restaurants and menus for evening. No easy access nearby for meals between breakfast and dinner. Has sauna, gym, laundry and haircut facilities in hotel.
The hotel is situated a bit far away from the city center. The room was nice, but a bit cold as outside it was -25C. In addition, the bed in single room is quite small.

We booked using Avios Points . We flew in to Helsinki airport and took train in to central Helsinki. A bit of walk from arrivals to platform, trains pretty frequently and fare reasonable. We then took taxi from Helsinki Train Station to Grand Marina Hotel. If we'd been more clued up we could have taken the tram.
