I wanted to try the little boutique hotel while working in Helsinki. + new + a spacious room + sufficient breakfast with great smoothies + easy to find + a sauna option + wonderful bed maybe the best I have ever slept in + candle lights at the breakfast cellar + silent room and corridors + interesting room compared to other hotels - a bit cold and ascetic room - only instant coffee in the room (no minibar or snacks) - reception phone lady was not very polite or inviting - the steam sauna had low temperature and very big in size - a staff member at the early breakfast with very loud voice - no potatoes or rye bread available at the breakfast, with salmon and tasty mushroom salad bread or small potatoes would have been nice
This is a medium price hotel that gives you (or me at least!) a luxury experience. For me it was the bathroom products that made it - as a woman who travels quite a lot and often by air, it is irritating that bathroom products are of so low quality in many hotels, but here they have full range of Rituals products, hair conditioner included. I lived 3 nights in a single room, and it was spacious enough, very comfortable bed. The room was extremely clean, and had everything I needed. I also appreaciated the fancy fully equipped kitchen for hotel quests. Not that I needed or used it, but just that they had thought of that. The gym was quite big and had everything. I also tried the sauna department, and it was really nice - and luxurious again. Breakfest was good. There are hotels with even more products, but everything was fresh and many healthy options. I appreciated the oven baked barley porrige. The reception was there eager to help, and there is also a small bar. It is easy to reach the hotel from the airport, you can take the airport train to Pasila, and either walk or take a tram to the hotel. The hotel is not located in the most central city center, but the connections are good to the center. I really felt like home there!…
This was a great choice! Everything was on point here. Lovely slightly different atmosphere compared to big hotel chains and the attention to details is great! Nice room, great staff and breakfast was also delicious. Recommended!
A brilliant, understated, comfortable and totally independent hotel, which was quiet and had comfortable beds and the most fantastic breakfast. The staff were all friendly and helpful too and the building is an architectural gem. Just perfect!
Service was good and kindly, room was clean, fresh and bed was excellent. The location of the hotel is very good, a short walk from Pasila railway station, many restaurants nearby. One minus point: The breakfast starts at 8 o'clock on Sunday. It was too late for me. My train left at 8.19. That´s why only four points Highly recommended!
I spent one night in a single room at Hotel Konepaja while on a business trip. Great location, a short walk from Pasila railway station. Friendly staff, cozy room and tasty breakfast. Highly recommended! I'll be back... 😉
Wow, even the tiniest details had been thoroughly thought of and we felt so welcome and taken fully care of that we could just lean back and relax. This sets a new high standard for any hotel visit for us in the past and future!
Very nice, I recommend! Have stayed here many times. The common kitchen works as a nice alternative when travelling with kids, as they dont usually find their favourite food at restaurants. Here you can prepare their food and save some money. Breatfast was very enjoyable. Room was spacious. Great location.
Folks Hotel Konepaja lies at beautiful old industry area within Aleksis Kiven katu (Aleksis Kivi str.). Easy to access with train and tram, just a few blocks away from Pasila Station. The room was standard room to which I had ordered some refreshements beforehand. The drinks were cold when we arrived (Hooray!) and the room was clean and otherwise as expected. Nothing super fancy, but the interior was notably different compared to for example Holiday inn with industrial-like detailing. One noteworthy thing is that in the room there's no coffee machine/water boiler but there's a common kitchen in 1st floor, to which all customers have access to. You just need to clean up after yourself and mark your own foods properly. Some items (fruits, bread, spices) are offered by the Hotel, which is extremely nice! Other noteworthy things are gym and sauna area. Sauna area has two different saunas, regular one and a steam one. Both are unisex saunas and open in the evening and in the morning 06-10. Gym was propably the best gym hotel I've seen with 2x Eleiko XF bars present. You can get quite a good workout with the power rack, Eleikos and free weights that were there. There was also a massager, but her services I did not have time to try. The Service was good, clearly better than average hotel reception and boy it was smooth. Check-in took me about 5 minutes, payment included. What I would have wished to be otherwise during my stay? Sound proofing could have been slightly better, because occasionally I heard if someone above me was having a shower. Shoehorn was nowhere to be found, which was surprising.…
Modern design, nice and relaxed atmosphere, kind staff. But the room interior and equipment were not complete - several practical features missing. Not very cosy either. And sound isolation from nearby rooms insufficient. Breakfast was OK with rather limited by high-quality range of food.
