Impeccable service as always, there is a reason why I always stay at the Kämp Hotel. It was a very busy time at the Hotel with the Slush Event Week, despite this the staff went to extreme lenghts to accommodate extending my stay. Thank You!
The good: Pre stay communication with the hotel was done smoothly and the reception replied quickly to my email. In my email I requested an early check-in as well as a table reservation from the Brasserie restaurant. The receptionist said that the staff would do their best in order to accommodate my early check in request and booked the table from the restaurant for me. When I arrived at the hotel this was true and I was given my room at 1 pm, so 2 hours prior to standard check-in time. The receptionist who checked me in was very kind and tried to speak Swedish with me. She also remembered that I had stayed there before and said welcome back to me. She also said that it would be fine if I checked out an hour later so at 1 pm. The room was upgraded one category up from deluxe to premium deluxe. In addition, there was a greeting card from the General manager welcoming me back to Helsinki and a small box of chocolates which was a nice touch. The Spa at the hotel is absolutely fabulous and it’s a nice place to relax after a busy day. Always worth the visit. The receptionist who checked me out was very kind and remembered to welcome me back again. The bad: Overall, I had a very good stay here. There weren’t any major flaws during my stay, but there were some mistakes done by the restaurant Brasserie kitchen in my food order. However, the restaurant waiters were very kind and apologetic. They even offered me a complimentary salad while I waited for my dinner order to get corrected.…
Rare experience of a Hotel that define five star comfort and service, impressive! Only stayed for a night but already looking forward to the next visit! A great blend of sophisticated modernity alongside wings of history.
One of the best hotels I've been. The staff is always available, smiling and helpful. I had problems with the room which they immediately took care of. The food is very tasty but the same everyday. The rooms are always clean and good looking. This is actually my second time there and I will definetly come back!
I have visited this place 1.10. We wanted to celebrate my friends recovery from cancer . Well… it wasn’t good . We ate at Michelene place and went to Kämp Bar for a Champagne . Staff is awful… they are mafia in this place . In Helsinki, there is a lot of good places… Bardot is perfect and service is perfect.
Amazing hotel. Beautiful accommodations, great service. Delicious and varied room service breakfast that was enough food for lunch too. Love the plants in the entrance and lobby. You feel like you’re walking into a fairy tale. Hope to come back.
The hotel was lobby, room and restaurant were beautiful. The staff was friendly and courteous. All spoke English which was very helpful because we did not speak Finnish. We used the valet service as well. They were prompt and friendly.
location is perfect in the city center, staff correct , helpful and friendly, towels and linen in the room superb, would like to purchase to my own home. The outdoor terrace is a nice place to relax. as a regular customer, feels like coming home, when i'm in Helsinki.
The Kamp is an old world, traditional city hotel that gets most things right. But, don’t expect 21st century decor and 5 star amenities like in the world’s best cities. Being a Finn and a global luxe traveler, I always struggle to find the right hotel in the amazing city of Helsinki. I feel like this wonderful town deserves a few more luxury hotel options, and feel similarly about Stockholm (where I also have family and visit a lot). Most design hotels here do not have great service. And conversely, while it has a beautiful exterior, The Kamp does not have great interior design. That said, it has the best service in the Nordic region. My family and I stayed in the massive, two bedroom Mannerheim Suite which literally spans a city block and has 20 foot ceilings. We had almost too much room, and the decor, while a Finnish version of luxurious, felt a bit heavy and “faux”. However, it has beautiful views of the park, a great bathroom with sauna, and great beds and sheets. I wish the kitchenette was actually usable and they toned down the purple and yellow velour and silks a bit. Food was very good, particularly breakfast. The lobby, lounge and brasserie are all very classically handsome. The front desk and staff were all very polite, accommodating and eager. Did I feel like I was at The Ritz in Paris or another world class hotel? No, especially for us staying in the presidential suite, I did not feel like they went out their way in any special regard. But, compared to the Grand Hotel in Stockholm, the service here is kinder and more consistent. The food is also better. The Grand has some top suites with better decor, but this hotel has better service. To me, this is more important. The hotel has the best location in Helsinki, across from Fazer, near the open market and in front of Esplanade Park. Everything is walking distance. I would definitely stay here again. Still, it would be great if they could refresh the rooms with a more toned down aesthetic.…
The service was good and the lobby was beautiful. The room was disappointing.Cleaning was poorly managed.Bad indoor air, especially on floors and downstairs, where the hotel's customer toilet.Brand and reality did not meet. I don't even consider staying in a hotel anymore.
