Lovely boutique hotel located in the centre of Helsinki, just off the esplanade. The beds are extremely comfortable and the rooms are bright and airy. Recommend getting a style or luxe room if possible as much more spacious than the comfort rooms. A great, affordable option.

Thank you so much for your wonderful five-star review! We are thrilled to hear that you enjoyed your stay at our boutique hotel and appreciated our central location in Helsinki, just off the Esplanade. We’re delighted that you found our beds extremely comfortable and our rooms bright and airy. We also appreciate your recommendation for the Style or Luxe rooms; they indeed offer a more spacious experience. It’s great to know that you consider us a great and affordable option, and we are grateful for your kind words and endorsement. Your feedback means a lot to us and helps other travelers looking for a unique and comfortable stay in Helsinki. We look forward to welcoming you back on your next visit to the city! Warm regards,

I genuinely could not love this hotel more! I stayed for 22 nights during August 2021 which gave me a great insight into the Hotel Fabian experience.
Their motto is “we don’t mind if you stay longer” and I could quite easily have done so had I not been keen to get home! I stayed in a Lux Room which was a perfect “home away from home”, a little like a studio apartment, where I could work at the table during the day (the high speed WiFi never once dropped out, even when running training via video link across Europe and Asia!), and relax in the evening with a drink on the balcony or on the sofa.
I enjoyed the hotel breakfast in the mornings, and then self catered most of my other meals as there is an excellent fridge and microwave in the Lux room. There is a supermarket barely a two minute walk away with a fresh food counter and Stockman department store has an amazing food hall and is a ten minute walk. Weekend evenings were generally lying on the sofa watching Netflix on the sizeable TV via chromecast with a takeaway pizza (I would recommend Via Tribunali) via food delivery app “Wolt” which you can have delivered to the hotel.
The central location of the hotel makes it amazing for exploring Helsinki, yet it’s on a quiet side road which meant a full night’s sleep every night!
There is so much more I could write about why I would recommend this hotel in a heartbeat but I’ll just close with saying thank you to every staff member who made me feel that my home wasn’t really 5000 miles away. It’s been my pleasure to stay here and I wish you all the success as Finland opens its doors to more tourists over the coming months.

I stayed for three nights over the Easter weekend. Check in was very smooth, and the receptionist was extremely helpful. The room was compact but very clean and comfortable, with a good sized safe which came with a built-in socket for charging devices. The courtyard - facing room was extremely quiet and well - insulated, and allowed in a lot of light even on an early spring day.
Buffet breakfast was excellent, with a good spread of continental breakfast items as well as Finnish specialities such as Karelian pasties.
The hotel was an excellent base for exploring Helsinki on foot, due to its central location. It certainly deserves another visit!

Great location: walking distance to essential places in the centre, but still peaceful and pretty silent. A pleasant, clean room with quality bed guaranteed a good night sleep. Air condition and big TV were also upsides of the room.
During our check-in around 3:30 p.m. we heard that it's not possible to choose the timing of your breakfast as there are three different time slots for having the breakfast. The slot we would have chosen was already fully booked, so the options were narrow. For some reason all this wasn't told anywhere in advance, even though the way Fabian has organized their breakfast might have significant effect on the visitors' personal schedule. Breakfast was itself was okay, but nothing special considering we paid over 200 euros for one night's stay.
The rain gutter right behind our room's window was leaking heavily. Luckily it did rain only during the daytime, because the loud sound of the leakage would certainly have kept us awake during the night.

Dear Katanen, Thank you for visiting us and for taking the time to review your us. I am happy to read that you liked our quiet location and that you found your room clean and welcoming. I will have a talk with our engineers about to rain gutter on our sixth floor if there is something, we can do about it. I am happy to hear that it didn’t rain during the night. Yes, as we opened the Hotel again on the first of July, we had to think of a way that all our guest would not arrive at the breakfast at the same time. We decided to use time slots as the solution for this. We have written information about this on our webpage but of course I am sorry to hear that you did not receive the information earlier and that the setting you wanted already was fully booked. I am happy that you enjoyed your stay quite well, your feedback has been valuable to us. Have a nice day and welcome back again Regards,

We stayed in Hotel Fabian for two nights. The hotel is centrally located not far from Esplanade. The location is silent, and in addition there is good sound insulation in the hotel. Combined with good beds this offered a very good nights sleep. The hotel has a stylish interior, offers a tasty breakfast and has a very friendly staff. We would highly recommend this hotel both for leisure and business travellers.

This hotel is conveniently located four blocks from the Esplanade in this highly-walkable city. The room was spacious, quiet, comfortable, and well-appointed. The bathroom was highly functional and sized for ease of movement. The standard European breakfast is available in a small room with more seating available in the courtyard. As a first-time visitor to this city, this hotel exceeded my expectations.

One of our best hotel stays. The staff are friendly and helpful, especially the housekeeping who went out of their way and the breakfast person who was so skilled. The room was totally quiet, and the beds were not too soft/not too hard. The breakfast was amazing with lots of healthy fresh choices for everyone. The location is perfect for walking all around central Helsinki. Highly recommend this hotel.

Hotel Fabian is a nice small boutique hotel just few blocks away from Helsinki city center. The hotel is a cozy, stylish and quite well maintained. The rooms are comfortable and decorated tastefully. our rooms was a bit cold in the middle of the winter and we heard similar comments upon check outs from other guests. The reception staff was friendly but their ability to handle the complaints seemed to be limited. The breakfast is served in cozy area next to reception. "Outside pandemic times" this is a nice and cute set up, but during the covid19 the atmosphere was quite hectic and frantic. Also the selection of dishes was quite limited.

HI VM451, Thank you for your stay with us. It is nice to read that you enjoyed the rooms and our location. Sorry to hear that you encountered problems with the heating. We did experience have some problems and our engineers was tweaking the system for and they were able to solve the problem after awhile. I would like to get more details on the how we were unable to resolve the issues you experienced. Hopefully w could learn from this and work towards I will go through your feedback about the breakfast with the breakfast team. We have done some adjustments after your stay with the timeslots and the flow of people. From what I have seen the new system is better then the old one, however the situation is tricky with the current pandemic situation. Thank you for your stay and warmly welcome back again and I do hope that are going towards the end of this pandemic. stay safe Regards, Mats / Hotel Fabian

We unexpectedly needed a room for the night in Helsinki and came across this lovely boutique hotel.
Amazing location near absolutely everything in town. Easy to find. Rooms were Extremely Comfortable and Attractive. Breakfast was superb, fresh food and lots of vegan options. Staff super helpful & friendly.
My only complaint was no kettles in rooms for tea or coffee, to me a very basic requirement. Apparently only available in the the Deluxe rooms 🤔.

Thank you Andy52 for taking the time to review us. I am super delighted to read that you enjoyed your stay here with us. I hope you asked our staff about the kettle. we do have a few extras we can provide to the room if needed but they are standard in our Lux and Style rooms. I will give this feedback also to our breakfast team as they have been working hard with especially vegan options the last year. Have a great week and welcome back again. Fabian is surely well located to visit Helsinki. The rooms are well appointed and the beds are very comfortable. I can also comment on the fact that the noise insulation is optimal, and rooms are very quiet. On the aspect to be improved, the housekeeping service seems to be weak. I would also suggest to put a tea/coffee facility in the rooms, this is a basic type of amenity ! Globally a good value for money for the three nights stay before Christmas.

Dear Jule,
Our customers are allowed to use our sister hotel Hotel Lilla Robert's gym free of charge. It is open 24/7 and located 250m from here so it only takes 3 minute walk.

There is the Allas sea pool across the harbour. Maybe 15 to 20min walk. It’s got saunas, outdoor heated pools and a sea pool. As well as a restaurant and a bar.
We had the rooms with a kitchen. It had a balcony overlooking the courtyard
Depending which cruise operator you book. The hotel is within walking distance of one of the piers.
The best way to get from the airport to the hotel is by Yellow Line Taxi (hope we have remembered the name correctly) - a shared ride shuttle service. It is easily organised in both directions and cost effective. If you contact the hotel they will provide you with other options. The hotel is on a quiet street and only a short walk from the market hall and harbour. It takes a little longer to get to other attractions - perhaps 15 minutes to the Helsinki Cathedral. We found it very convenient and walked to all the places we visited. We enjoyed staying at this hotel - the staff were very friendly and helpful, the breakfasts were good and the room was very comfortable. The hotel does not have an evening restaurant - you can organise room service, for a 10 Euro delivery fee, from a "sister" hotel a couple of blocks away. We didn't do this as there are some good options for evening meals nearby.
