St.George is an amazing hotel with a perfect service. Room service was excellent and spa is really nice extra. I stayed in Atelier room and it was spacious and decoration was perfect. I'm going back soon with my spouse.
We had a lovely staycation here and loved many things about this hotel. The design in the hallways and common areas is very beautiful and luxurious. Our room was the cozy studio, nicely decorated and super clean. The bed was very comfortable as well, but the view was quite sad straight to the another wall. For park view the price would have been 70 euros extra. What I liked the most was the lovely spa! Very tranquil and relaxing atmosphere and not too crowded, with one big pool and a cold one, a Finnish sauna and a steam sauna. Also the lounge area was very pleasant with fresh fruits, nuts, tea etc. I think the spa is what really makes St George stand out among the other hotels in Helsinki. The breakfast was delicious but I expected a little wider variety as there was not so much where to choose from. Fresh orange juice and bread and pastries from the hotel's own bakery were superb though! The staff all over the hotel was very friendly and attentive. Location was great within short distance to everywhere around the center area. Only thing that made me a tiny bit disappointed was that nobody noticed my boyfriend's birthday that was exactly on the day we signed in. Even a simple "happy birthday" at the reception would have been a nice touch as I let them know before we arrived. However, otherwise we had a great stay!…
The best hotel on Helsinki. If you want to experience five star hotel take this one. Not only the atmosphere, but the staff is amazing. We spend one weekend in Atelier studio. The hotel is full of details and art. Staff is very and qenuine friendly. Make sure you enjoy wintegarden coctails. Breakfast is just perfect. You can make a time reservation there and it’s not that crowded. Definetely they should continue this service. Worth of every euro. And the bathrooms are so luxury in the rooms. Only thing we wonder, how is it possible that Ikea beds are better than danish 😉 If you get an aterlier room try to book that one where is balcony
Having stayed in lots of hotels in the Nordics, this is one of the best ones! It's luxurious and the food is great. Rooms are beautiful and everything is well done. Besides check in and check out - otherwise I would have given it 5 stars. But both check in and check out took too long. Too many people waiting. It's convenient for when you're visiting Helsinki - albeit the city doesn't inspire much tourism of course. The spa is great and the bakery and restaurants are outstanding. I was there in early August and the Finns don't see Covid as a threat. No social distancing and no mask wearing. Not cool! Very different from the rest of continental Europe.
Hotel is great but we were hugely disappointed that the breakfast was not included considering that we paid 265.- Euros per room per night (we had two rooms). We tried to ask the receptionist if there was any way that we could have had the breakfast included in the price as if we had booked the hotel room a day before it would have been 100.- euros less per room! She said no. We were surprised and disappointed that there was no flexibility from the hotel side to negotiate.
