Spent 3 nights here in August 2020 with the family. Rooms are lovely and very well appointed. Nice bathrooms with baths although the shower could have been better (lack of pressure and shower screen way too small). The location is perfect - right on the harbour with Union Square, the cathedral and other sights all close by. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of variety and freshly cooked options. Reception staff are wonderful - friendly and helpful and even arranged tea and coffee for us on our last morning as we had to depart early. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if I was back in Helsinki.

This hotel was one of the last ones to open after the closure because of the corona pandemic. There was a lucrative opening offer: every room for 220 euros including a bottle of champagne and room service breakfast. This offer was not prepaid. I booked a Grand Deluxe Harbor View room. The standard flexible rate including breakfast would have been 374 euros. The view from the top 8th-floor room was very panoramic. However, the room decor was a little bit shabby and outdated. The sofa was strangely placed. You couldn't watch the television from it. Also, the shower was in the bathtub. In my opinion, Grand Deluxe rooms without views have better interiors. I wouldn't pay the 90 euros difference just for the views. The room service breakfast was good but needed a little bit of arrangement as the sofa table was so small. The overall value of our stay was excellent.

Dear Mikael F, Thank you for having stayed with us and for taking time to review us here. I am happy to see your stay with us was very pleasant. Thank you for the comments as well, we will have a look at the placing of the furniture in the 8th floor harbor view rooms and see if we can arrange them better. We do have rooms with three different kinds of bathrooms - one is with bathtub and shower over it, one with shower only and one with a walk-in-shower and bathtub next to each other. We are always happy to appoint a room with whichever works best for the guest. Hopefully we'll get to welcome you back soon! Best regards, Heidi Tarilo Front Office Manager

I booked a Grand Deluxe Harbour room with seaview. The room was nicely decorated and comfortable and it had a nice view. But I didn't like that the bathroom had a thin glass door and if that door was open I could see the toilet from my pillow. However, as I was travelling alone it didn't matter so much. I also didn't like that the cleaning staff always pulled the black-out curtains to completely cover the window even though I had left the windows uncovered. I don't like coming into a dark room. Location is good. The hotel bar is very nice. Staff is friendly. The breakfast buffet was quite good, but not a very large selection. There is not much space so it can get crowded both around the buffet and between tables.

This hotel was the last we stayed in on our European holiday and sadly it was the most disappointing. We stayed in a Prime Superior Room which was quite spacious - but it was in need of some updating. Everything was just a little bit worn and drab. I found the staff to be friendly but a little bit unhelpful. My elderly mother and I were obviously struggling to get up their entry stairs with our luggage but they just stood behind the desk and watched. They weren't busy, so even if it is not policy, some assistance would have been appreciated. The breakfast was certainly not of the standard we experienced elsewhere. And it was a bit of an effort to find where it was being served and how to get there. On our last day, due to an early flight, we asked for a breakfast box which was totally inadequate. As this was part of our package cost - a proportionate meal should be provided. The hotel location was great, especially to visit Market Square, which was just out the back door. Considering the rating of this hotel and the cost, I would definitely suggest looking elsewhere.

Dear Chris G, Thank you for having stayed with us and taking time to review us here. Feedback is a valuable tool for us. I am deeply sorry to hear we managed to let you down and did not meet all your expectations. The fact that you found our reception staff unhelpful makes me especially sad, rest assured I will go though the feedback with the team to ensure this does not happen in the future. Normally we provide with assistance with the luggage at all times. Also, we'll have a look at the breakfast box and make necessary changes to improve it. I would like to make these inconveniences up to you to make you change your opinion on us and show, what we can be at our best. Kindly contact me directly for this. Also, should you have any further comments, I would be happy to hear them. I am looking forward to hearing from you. Wishing you a lovely summer, Heidi Tarilo Front Office Manager Hotel Haven heidi.tarilo@hotelhaven.fi

Ideally located near the harbour and walking distance to many attractions in the beautiful city of Helsinki. The breakfast was in a gorgeous room and plenty of choice. Lovely bar and cocktail menu. Helpful and friendly staff.
