We spent few days at Askas pension and we really recommend it. The place is calm, the room is nice and very clean , and more important, the people running the business are more than kind. They were helpful and smiling. Right next to this hotel there is a nice place to eat, running by the same family member. Really nice as well. We had a great time.
I arrived here recommended by the diving center. They welcome you with a smile and they did a super good price for coming from the dive center. Extremely clean and cautious. The room was cleaned every day and they give you everything you need. The balcony was the best spot for the sunset. Calm, quiet and within 10m from everywhere. I will stay here again when I come back. Thank you!
This place is great. The rooms were immaculately clean (and cleaned every day). The balcony over looking the sea is really nice. Nice people at reception as well and the prices were the best amongst all the other hotels in Greece we stayed at.
Very clean and quiet hotel, 15 min from center, 10 min from city beach, with a good restaurant. The owner, very kind an helpful, can offer the transfer from Katapola (7 eur/pers.), (which is not bad when you arrive at 4 a.m.!) Our room was in backside, with a fantastic mountain-view to the villages Lagada and Tholaria (must visit them !). And go on the roof-terrace to see amazing sunsets! Aegiali is a very small chic village with nice caffes and tavernas.
Just spent five nights at Askas whilst taking a diving course at Amorgos Diving Centre. Marios who runs the property with his family picked me up in town and was really helpful and friendly throughout my stay. The room was clean and quiet and had a lovely view out to the mountains with a balcony to sit and watch the sun rise every morning. It was incredibly good value. Breakfast is great value too, especially if you include with the room. Will definitely stay here again when I return to Aegiali.
We stayed here for 4 nights in August. It was truly the ideal spot from which to explore all there is to love about Amorgos. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is exceptionally clean. Even though there is a backpacker style camping ground next door, it is very quiet. The tavern is boisterous but the food was very good. It is an easy walk to Aegiali to lie on a beach bed or take the public bus to the Monastery or the amazing beaches. Don’t miss the hotel’s lovely rooftop garden
We had a lovely 3-night stay here. The room was spacious (we even had an extra bed), clean, and comfortable with a cute little terrace. There was a mini fridge and air conditioning in the room and the bathroom was recently remodeled. Additionally, the pension has a lovely third-floor terrace which is open to guests and an onsite restaurant where we had dinner one night and ate breakfast every morning. For 7 euros, you can have their breakfast which includes coffee with cream, bread, jam, honey, an egg (fried or boiled), and a bowl of greek yogurt. You can also order breakfast a la carte if you don't have a big appetite. Another plus - the pension is well located. It is a 5-minute walk to the beach and a 10-minute walk to the town of Aegiali. What really makes this pension stand out is Mario and his wonderful family. They were very accommodating and kind to us. They gave us great advice on places to visit, and even helped us arrange the car rental and transportation to the ferry.…
This is a little paradise. Beautiful view and calmness. Run by a very friendly family who really make their guests feel welcome. Very nice and clean rooms with a great view. Very friendly staff altogether. If you like there is a good breakfast, or you can have your own one on the balcony. Refridgerator in all rooms. This is just so lovely!
We stay in Hotel Askas 4 nights in September, we also have breakfast which is traditional greek with eggs (scrambled with ham, cooked, as you wish, honey, natural orange juice, jam, butter, tea, coffee, enough to start a perfect day). We also have dinner after first nights, when we ate in restaurant To Limani, where we were very dissapointed. Dinner was also fine very traditional, reasonable prices, we pay approximatelly 20 Euros with very good local wine for 2 person. Marios also play buzuki guitar one night with traditional greek songs and some locals. Rooms are very clean, not far from beach, about 5 minutes. We have room in 1st floor with balcony, seaview. Marios wife Ioanna also drive us to Laghkada when we start our hike to Agios Georgios and Marios arrange us the transfer from / to port in Katapola, all free of charge. They also advise us where and when to start hike to Monastery near Chora, very picturesque hike, must do when you are on Amorgos. Anyway I recommend Askas hotel to anybody. Thanks again to Ioanna and Marios and their staff for perfect vaccation.…
We booked this room 3 days before our trip. We could never expect such a good room in such a low price! It is really close to the camping and it also provides car renting. The food is great and the view from the roof is stunning. Mr Marios is one of the kindest people we have met! 10/10
