Charming Pension, very well located on the port, two minutes from the boat pier. The beach is not far from the Inn. From the Inn, you have a breathtaking view of the harbour and the sea.Theodore, who is the property owner of the Inn, does everything to make your stay very pleasant and Guides you through all your steps, if you wish. It is adorable and prepares memorable breakfasts, with fruit juice, Greek specialties, and good fruit cakes. The only regret you will have is having to leave this magical place.

We had previously stayed here in 2012 and were delighted to discover it was as good as ever, with Theodoros a very friendly, kind and helpful host. Breakfasts are very good and can be taken outside looking out to sea and with a view of the windmill. The hotel is ideally located for the ferries, bus stop, bars and restaurants yet still peaceful.

It’s rare these days that you find a hotel that mirrors the dreams you have had in your mind of a holiday on the Greek Islands;perfect location, in a perfect Greek fishing village. Charming & authentic with views over the small port. This is it!!! The most wonderful small hotel, run by the most welcoming owner Theo & his wife. Original Cycladic architecture, marble stairs, balcony to watch the little boats, immaculately clean, lovely bathroom & comfortable beds along with a delicious breakfast. Over the years, The little village has built around the hotel , with a tiny church ( secret hotel balcony overlooks it) & several tavernas & bars to enjoy. The hotel & the village remain authentic & charming - Simple & beautiful, we could have stayed all summer long. Our Greek island dream.

Always exceptional. More than the impeccable cleanliness of the rooms, more than the exceptional location, making everything convenient (beach, steps, buses, etc.), more than the excellent breakfasts - quality bread, salty, honey, olives, Greek yogurt, fresh fruit excellent...More than all that: the kindness, the professionalism, the tranquility of Eleni and Theodoros, under the caring gaze of their placid owner, the cat Kouli. An exceptional place, a hotel that has a soul, a place that you leave with a heavy heart. A big thank you 🙏 to you.

Excellent location for this hotel. In the heart of the animation (but quiet in June), facing the port. Fridge, air conditioning, Wifi, whatever it takes. And above all an extremely friendly and available boss. This hotel also has charm, soul and history. Very good breakfast. If I could, I'd go back tomorrow!

Second stay after a gap of 10 years - still a great place to stay, well located yet quiet and Theo is very helpful and friendly. The history of the hotel is also interesting, still run by the same family for over 60 years since it opened. Breakfasts are excellent and the location is very convenient.

Absolutely wonderful hotel in a beautiful situation. A stunning photo album of the hotel through the ages, passed down through the family. Wonderful breakfasts with a lovely view. Perfect situation for exploring Amorgos.
Definitely the best φιλοξενία!

We stayed at the Hotel Mike for nearly a week in June. Its location is ideal - right in the heart of the village of Aegiali with balcony overlooking the port and fishing boats and with beach view, yet the double glazing effectively cuts out all noise at night should there be any (to be fair, only on the Saturday night of our stay was there really any noise to be cut out as it was early in the season.) The hotel was not yet fully opened for the season (e.g. the bar etc was still closed) but this was not a problem as there were many more within a mins walk, offering everything from breakfast to cocktails in very comfortable surroundings and with a stunning view of the bay. The owner, Theo, was always extremely helpful and full of advice on local travel and restaurants. He insisted we borrow his laptop and also gave us some delicious honey (from his own bees) to take home. The room was kept spotless. Efficient, cheap buses run around the island enabling exploration, and there are also a number of relatively easy walks along with some more challenging ones, although when we were there it was really too hot for us for the latter. The old village of Chora is well worth visiting - very sleepy and full of flowers, although we were told that in July/August it is much busier. We thought overall that Aegiali (and its surrounding villages and smaller beaches, as well as the main one) was nicer than Katapola.

Stayed for a week - it was exceptionally comfortable and relaxed. Our little balcony looked out over the small harbour in Aegiali - fishing boats, net-mending, a few yachts and occasional ferries. The beach is in view, waves can be heard rolling onto the fine sand. The room was small but fine - modern, quiet (double glazing) with a lovely little bathroom, all kept super-clean. Fridge, hairdryer and free WiFi provided. The owner goes out of his way to be helpful at all times, and is charming. Breakfast was great - early to late morning buffet of eggs, bacon, preserves, juices, cheeses, breads (good toaster(!), and excellent coffee. All can be taken outside watching the village life. Several tavernas and lots of bars in the village, all within a very short stroll. Bus stop close by - 2 or 3 times a day to other villages on Amorgos. If you plan it well you can arrive and leave by ferry only 100 yards from the hotel. What a gem - best hotel we have stayed in on any Greek island.

This hotel is in the town of Aegali so from the ferry one needs to catch a bus which is easy. The hotel has front water views and a great owner who will do everything to make your stay comfortable. Nice restaurants and shops around hotel.

Bawtry, United Kingdom6,152 contributions107 helpful votesCan you tell me if the top floor rooms have a private terrace or is it shar? And when do they get the sun please? It would be great if you could tell me the room numbers. Thanks
Hi,
We were only there over night and left very early in the morning for the ferry. We had a balcony looking out on to the harbour but I'm afraid I can't remember the room number. Sorry not to be more help. The hotel staff are very helpful though so they can probably answer your questions.
