Stayed a night during a road trip. Ample free parking. Is a 15-20 minute walk along river to downtown bars and restaurants. Does its job, was clean and ok, but decor is dated back to the 70's 80's. Ok choice if u like it a bit more affordable than the dowtown hotels.

I came here on a group trip and although the hotel isn't the lap of luxury, it does the job and has wifi and your essentials! The location completely makes it to be honest, you're right by the lake and it's about a ten minute walk into the city along the lake.

Nice place. I enjoyed my stay, although anything more then a few nights would get a bit boring. Very good breakfast with lots of choice. My room was functional and had all you would expect. Fantastic views with a private balcony. Would stay again..

This hotel was clean and nicely located if you have a car, the staff was very professional and they served a good breakfast. There is not much to do in kajaani but there are beautiful parks nearby and forests. The bathrooms were a little peculiar but well equipped. Internet connection could have been better

Come here if you do not want to stay in down town Kajaani, or if you simply don't have to. It's 20 minutes walk from here to the restaurants, pubs and bars. Museum of Kajaani is in 10 minutes walk, as well as the theatre. Rooms are basic, if not poor, but rather silent anyway. You can leave your car...

Rooms are terrible for the price of 80€, staff were wery rude toward us (wedding party about 70 person), none us will never come back to this hotel. Nothing good to say about this hotel. Athmosphere is straight from the 80's. Our bathroom smells a bit like mold. There is no air condition in the lobby or on the rooms.

This place has a great location away from the city noise. The rooms were large with private bathrooms. The price was great for the accomodations. Great buffet breakfast with hot/cold items, lots to choose from. The staff/owner was very friendly, very attentive. Very clean, very comfy. We will definitely be back.

An ok option, not too pricy, nice breakfast. Wish the food in the restaurant was better. Too much grease, and not too many options for dinner. Always a plus with the sauna, although it was not used by us on this trip because of new tattoo.

What must be the unsexiest hotel in Finland, Hotel Kajaani is a great place if you need four walls and a roof above you. There's nothing very special about the hotel, but it suits the needs of lodging very well. Free internet, rather close to Kajaani, rather simple and silent.
