We were really pleasantly surprised by The Chalet Hotel - I wasn't expecting anything too fancy but were delighted by our chalet, which had a living room with a downstairs bedroom, but an extra bedroom upstairs, which we didn't use. The sauna was excellent and a welcome way to warm up after walks through the snowy landscape. Breakfast was plentiful:... More

adjacent to the hotel ski resort. Located outside the city center but within a short drive of 5 minutes. The rooms are beautiful family cabins with saunas and a kitchenette in every room. Hotel scattered sledding area for children and there is also a place to make a bonfire while waiting to see the Northern Lights. The food was excellent... More

The clean chalets are relatively spacious, and at least some (maybe all?) come with their own sauna, which is a nice touch. Breakfast is available in the main building, and is decent, if not more. The setting by the side of the river is nice - ask for a cottage on the river-facing side of the road, if you don't... More

We had the best time ever, took our son 8 and our daughter 18 months for 4 nights in December to see Santa. We arrived at our log cabin (snowy cottage, so glad we did not book Christmas Cottage too close to the town) which was fantastic and the children loved it. Our Cabin was spacious, clean and modern, we... More

We booked our trip to the chalet hotel through Thomson . We took our boys aged 9 and 4 to see santa for a few days at the beginning of December and i am so glad we chose to stay here as it was perfect. On arrival our cottage wasn't quite ready so we left our luggage in the bar... More

We have stayed in Lapland before and chose to stay at the snowy cottages due to the location. On arrives we were taken to the hotel at the top of the hill and left to take all our cases back down after receiving our key. The cottages was just lovely , very modern ,clean , with two bathrooms , 3... More

We booked the hotel in March for our stay during Christmas eve via booking.com. When we arrived at the hotel, they said there is no room. The hotel obviously has overbooked and bumped us off. There are three other parties having similar situation. We paid 1800 Euros for 2 nights half board stay and just look at the photos of... More

The cottage is fantastic! The lady who checked us in was really nice and friendly. We asked for a triple room. It has two bed on the ground level and two bed on the attic. If you have claustrophobia you might not enjoy the beds on the attic though.. One of my friends absolutely refused to sleep there. There is... More

The rooms were not very big for a 6 bed cabin. Well maintained. The one thing that made our stay not so present is that we left the door open by mistake and the room got cold. It took the entire night and the next day for the room to get back to normal temperature. You would expect a facility... More

Great little cottages with own sauna, kitchen facilities and cosy little bedrooms. We used this spot as a base for the northern lights tour, and dog sledding tours. Also very convenient to the Ounasvaaran slopes - we both snowboarded for half a day and tried or hand at cross country skiing - super convienient. The centre was a short taxi... More
