Kemi's Merihovi has an old world charm and decor that follows. If you are tired of bland ordinary designs, then this is a great choice. Historical photos of past Presidents are in the hallways. The sauna is most enjoyable and the delicious breakfast is held in a beautiful salon. The staff are extremely courteous and helpful. Prepare for a memorable... More

It is an old fashion hotel, however, the room provides everything you need and is very spacious. The front desk was very helpful and always answered all the questions I had with a smile, The food of restaurant at the first floor is delicious. Highly recommend for everyone who need to stay in Kemi.

Hotel rooms are small, out-dated, a bit worn out, bathrooms are tiny, but the whole place is clean. During summer the rooms are quite warm due to insufficient air conditioning. The staff is nice, breakfast is ok. The hotel is located right in the center of Kemi.

This review may well read like others. Whether intentional or not, this place is old and sadly not in a good way. A short 10 minute walk from the railway and bus stations, the hotel is close to the town centre shops, bars etc. I was checked in by a helpful member of staff and paid there and then as... More

We were visiting a relative in Kemi and I had to choose a hotel at short notice, there was not much to select from. Hotel Merihovi came up with a reasonable rate and central location, so I made the booking. When we entered the hotel, the feeling was of a time-warp back fifty years. The building, ambiente, decor, rooms, the... More

Outdated hotel. Staff of hotel was ok. Room was old and worn. Furniture were old and worn. Bathroom was really small and worn, too. Ventilation seemed to be old, too. Breakfast was ok. Location was ok in a quiet and small town.

My brother and I got stuck in this little town and ended up paying $147 for a two single bed room. The hotel states that you get cable however, you must pay 10 Euro for cable if you want to watch it. There is no free breakfast, crappy instant coffee and terrible showers which I ended up cleaning due to... More

The room and bathroom were tiny and dated - this is also their selling point as far as I can tell. There was no bath tub in my room. The room door was very hard to close, you need to check that it is actually closed properly - it may look closed but it you pull, the door will open... More

Hotel 50's style, courtesy and professional staff. Room's furnitures are old but clean,in my opinion beds and pillows are little bit too soft. Breakfast lodge is spacious and buffet is well-provided. Restaurant not too cheap, with good choice of beers and excellent courses

We had a wonderful Christmas at this hotel. The staff were so helpful and warm to us. They set up a lovely Christmas Eve celebration. The food was good. They accommodated my son's dairy allergy. Our room was a suite and very spacious-- truly it was like someone's home. All the furnishings are from the 50s and its like walking... More
