We stayed for only one night as part of a short tour of Finland. Our seaside villa was amazing!!! It certainly had the wow factor! We also ate in the restaurant (off the a la carte menu) and our food was excellent - possibly the best scallops I have ever eaten and the reindeer fillet main was excellent too. We also had excellent service, making this an anniversary dinner to remember! My husband also had a fantastic snowmobiling experience too. All in in all, a great visit.

We have just had the most amazing stay at the Glass Villas which are part of the Snow Castle complex. We arrived on the overnight train from Helsinki and arrived at the hotel at 6.15am - our room was not due to be ready until 4pm. Fortunately the lovely Leena on the reception desk managed to sort things outs for us and we had our room at 9am after a lovely breakfast in the dining room. The hotel also organised a trip for us on the Sampo icebreaker which is an experience not to be missed. In addition we had free access to both the Snow Caste and the 365 Ice exhibition - both of which were fantastic. There is a lovely lady on the bar in the snow castle unfortunately I didn’t get her name, but she was so welcoming and explained the history of the Snow Castle to us which was really interesting. Last night we had dinner in the restaurant and it was fabulous! Today we leave after spending a morning on the snow mobiles across the frozen sea. This place is definitely worth a visit! Lovely people lovely surroundings and excellent service!

We booked for our Finland tour a night in the snow hotel. The bad news was that due to the mild winter the snow hotel was not built and we were a bit disappointed. The good news was however that we were up-graded to a seaside glass bungalow with fantastic views to the frozen bay. Also the quality of food in the modern restaurant was excellent and the visit of the snow castle and ice restaurant worth to spend some time.

Very great villas, compact but really comfortable inside, surrounding by not so many light so when the sky clear you can see aurora very clearly just right infront of your villas. I was lucky couple days ago to see very strong Aurora with KP index 5. I an even see the red and purple color in addition to the green one and can dance as well. Beware with the hwatwr heater they only hold 60 gl of hot water at the time (enough about water run for 30 minutes) then we have to wait for another 1 hour to heat up)
