We have been in this hostel already 8 years in a row, 2 days per year during the opera festival. The first 6 years were OK, no big problems and the rooms are quite cozy. Now it seems that something has gone badly to wrong direction. Already last year we reserved the nice room with Sauna and double bed for...

Lossinranta Lodge and Tavis Inn in Savonlinna - just opposite of Olavinlinna/castle - is utmost charming boutique hotel. Madame Christine and her staff succeed to create most lovely atmosphere year after year! They truly make you feel like you were at home. Rooms are always meticulously cleaned, towels are lushiously thick, water in showers always warm enough and good sleep...

Next to Olavinlinna this charming place is just lovely. Idyllic rooms and nice garden. Serves also coffe and small snack at lunch time. Breakfast is marvellous and serves local producers meat and vegetables. Hard to leave this place and head back to home.

Savonlinna is a beautiful little town with lots of outdoor activities. We rented bikes from the lodge and also were able to rent row boats around the casino (over the bridge, near the train station). It was fun to explore the area; I wish we would have planned longer there because it was such a restful and beautiful spot. At...

We stayed in this hotel for one night. The hotel location is excellent, right next to Olavinlinna castle and a short walk to the city center. There are two buildings, and we stayed in the building farther away with no view of the castle. Each room seems to have a different decor and layout. We had a two-room apartment including...

We enjoyed our one night stay here, a beautiful evening, so spectacular position beside the castle, and we loved our outside space, including the hot tub. We had a room with a private sauna, and the space provided for this unfortunately meant our bedroom space was very small in comparison. While this was fine for one night, I don't think...

Our first visit to Savonlinna was just great, partly because this lovely accommodation. We got this special upgrade with our own sauna and a hot tub outside. The view was just spectacular! The room was clean, cosy, had everything needed inside with the best part being the wood smell from the sauna. The breakfast was lovely and homemade. All in...

This was the third time we stayed at Lossiranta Lodge. We were extremely satisfied with the room and its amenities, this time "Autotalli", the service, the breakfast on the lake shore, everything. Staying here together with the fantastic opera (5 minutes walk away) is the highlight of our summer. A small detail, but this was first time I found a...

By no means is this a 'Lodge or Boutique Hotel'. Having just stayed at Tertin Kartano we were looking forward to Lossiranta Lodge. However, the hostess was unpleasant when we said it wasn't what we were expecting and said it was like an African Safari Lodge, I think she was taken aback when we said we had stayed in a...

We couldn't get a room in the main hotel, but were recommended their other house Tavis Inn and a shed (!) there. The setting was nice in a garden with big trees. Our room was equiped with all the comfort, quite small, but with a certain charm. After the first shock we were quite satisfied with out little shed. Breakfast...
