Very poor efficiency in Resepsjon/front deck on checking hours, only 2 stations manned out of 4 in the reception. Unnecessary long and challenged waiting time during check in. Some off the front desk staff were not service minded and inexperienced. Common toilets downstairs not clean, and sanitary dispensers loosened from the wall brackets. Breakfast quality average, and cleanliness not as expected for a Radisson Blu Hotel in the breakfast area. The room cleaning services and standard were good, the Bar staff on ground floor were skilled and gave very good service. Bar and Restaurant prices on high end, it’s seems the Raddison Blu Scandinavia Hotel Gothenburg need time to get their service and routines back on track after the Corona period. If you are wondering why you received a number or emails and messages from the hotel management asking you to order early check - in... Its because they ensure check in is a nightmare if you don't. They accept no one before 15:00 which mes you almost all guests for the day checking in at 15:00. The reception is a fish market and expect to stand in queue at last half an hour before you reach the front desk. Pity the staff at the front desk, keeping a brave face. The hotel management needs to find more innovative ways to make their 300sek per room.
A very good hotel- big standard room, big bathroom, very central. Don't miss the garden just behind the hotel. A piece of "heaven". I use the garage facilities Ask for lovely Maria- you will receive a lot of recommendations what to visit and where to go in Gothenburg.
This hotel has a great location next to the city centre, it is modern, the rooms are big a nice. The indoor hall of the hotel looks amazing. Minus of the room that is orientated to the hall you can not have fresh air in the room.
To start out on a positive note, the rooms are spacious, comfortable and thought has been put into the interior design. In fact, one of the better Radisson properties I've seen from that perspective. Unfortunately, this is where the favorable impression ends. With my wife having serious back issues, we asked to have breakfast delivered to the room, for which an older lady in reception answered 'you can go down and collect it yourself', without any apologies. This was completely unacceptable. Secondly, the spa staff seemed completely disorganized and poorly trained - the hotel and the spa have not worked out how to charge your spa visit to the room, and when we had issues settling the additional cost they were arrogant about the issue. Also, there was a loud group of local people in the spa shouting without any concern for other guests (we could even hear them from inside the sauna!). Overall a very mixed bag and the customer service needs to be significantly improved.…
