3 nights in Gothenburg at this hotel that was chosen by my hosts. A small friendly hotel - no tea and coffee in rooms but available with cakes and snacks 24/7 in the hotel breakfast room. Plus make your own waffles available in the afternoon and evenings - a very nice addition.

We stayed in this family owned hotel, which is perfectly located between Avenyn and Haga, well deserved with two trams just around the corner. As some reviews have pointed out before, some rooms are for sure in need of a bit of refurbishment, this was the case with the family room we stayed in which seemed a bit over priced...

The Hotel Vasa is located in a good central location and you can easily walk to shopping, museums, parks and restaurants. The rooms have had some renovations although they still seem a little tired. We had a room on the 3rd floor and took the stairs but there is a small elevator. Our room faced an inner courtyard and with...

A smaller hotel in the central part of Gothenburg. It is ok but something that really disturbed me was the breakfast servings. No omelette, no bacon, people sat like hungry wolves waiting for that and during the time all bread was eaten up... No no no, the breakfast is not ok.

I booked this hotel because it was close to where I worked and was a very reasonable price for the time of year and its central location. Then I read tripadvisor and saw a real mixed bag of reviews. So I went with my expectations managed and expected the worst to a certain extent - small basic unclean and uncomfy!!!...

Very good value for a Swedish hotel in an excellent, central location near the main sights and tram stops. Great buffet breakfast of meats, cheese, yoghurts. Corridors were a little threadbare, but the smallish rooms were modern and clean. Good option if you're looking for reasonable value in Gothenburg.

If it was a budget hotel it would have been "border-line-ok", but given their prices the level of the service is rather poor: the rooms are small and dirty (stains on the carpet, the trash bin was still full with trash from previous client when I checked in, dust all around, etc), the breakfast is just ok, and there was...

Nothing to compain whatsoever, even though it's a bit oldish. Simple small room (with big good shower though). Everything you need in the room. My window was facing the inside yard and some typical swedish building. Quick Internet. Breakfasts are very basic, but a bit of everything. Coffee is not that bad. They also have some sort of free snacks...

We travel often to Gothenburg and this is our second stay at Hotel Vasa. Mainly because they have secure parking (150kr per day) and they are located close to the heart of shopping and dining locations in Gothenburg. We booked a double bed on wotif.com and when I got to the hotel and saw the room, it turned out to...

Good hotel, maybe a little outdated, but nice and comfortable. Located city centre, near Vasa Platsen, and - for lovers of fine food lovers - almost neighboring restaurant Koka. Rooms are clean, spacious, silent and very comfortable (at least mine, with jacuzzi without extra payment) and very good value.
