Bad service. Tropical heat in the room and no air-condition. We were offered a fan. A FAN; are you kidding me. This is a 4-star hotel. Because of this we couldnt sleep well and sweated like pigs. This destroyed the following days since we had bad sleep. We were denyied other rooms. We were denied to leave the room 1hour after checkout. This never happend to us at any other hotel. And please remeber this was during the corona and the hotel were far from fully booked and also have in mind we had to sweat like pigs while trying to sleep instead of getting a cooler room. We are so dissapointed. It was more like a hostel and not a 4 -star hotel.
First of all to begin with, I would like to say that the receptionists were always very nice and helpful. They had a few trainees (like two or three I think) and it get like they were engaged and wanted to be there at that job, they did an awesome job. Second of all, I can say that the breakfast was also great. Because I am a vegan, and they had a full corner with vegan and plant based options for me and other guests with dietary needs. That was very appreciated every morning when coming down for having a breakfast. And I was living and stayed at the hotel for one month. I did not eat at the restaurant “at Park” but I’ve heard that they now during this Corona time that they have been implemented a few courses on the menu from other of their partner restaurants which sounds like a good idea and could work. Don’t take me on my words regarding the restaurant but I believe that is also a high quality standard. Third of all, the rooms, I mean I stayed in one room during my whole month and it was very comfortable and I liked it and felt I could work efficiently from my desk there. I had a couch and a small table where I was taking it chill and watched movies or series sometimes. The bed was good and I had good sleeps. So, therefore, an overall rating for my stay at this hotel is great and I am very happy with my stay and I do recommend it to other people! Thank you Elite Park Avenue Hotel for a pleasant stay.…
In the central of Gothenburg . You are in the hart of Gothenburg from the Hotel you han walk to Liseberg or Ullevi or Scandinavium or just to all restaurants along the Avenue. I can just recomend it. This is a very Nice hotel.
This is a very nice, clean and basic traditional hotel with a good breakfast offering. However we were dismayed to have breakfast cleared up around us 10 minutes before it was meant to finish which made us feel very rushed. To add insult to injury, one of the cleaners got the vacuum cleaner out and noisily worked right around us whilst we tried to eat breakfast. We thought this was extremely discourteous and unnecessary.
Stayed here for a couple of nights recently on a business trip to Gothenburg. Overall this is a good mid-range business hotel. On the plus side the staff are friendly and efficient, it's in a convenient central location, and the wifi is excellent, fast enough to stream Amazon videos which isn't the case in a lot of hotels. They also do a good business lunch if you want a quick meal in the middle of the day. The bed was comfortable, and the room had a fair-size desk which - combined with the wifi - makes it convenient if you have to work from your room. Disadvantages include the fact the decor is a bit faded in places, and the room cleaners are a bit erratic - they failed to replenish my hair shampoo, conditioner and soap so one day I had to shower with a fragment of soap the thickness of paper and wash my hair in shower gel. And why on earth do hotels insist on providing such a miniscule bar of soap in the first place? Please, just add a few Kroner to the bill and give me a decent sized bar of soap, I beg you. The in-room coffee making facility is just a kettle, instant coffee and powdered creamer, which is far from ideal. The worst part was that when I stayed they were replacing the elevators, which meant a long wait to get up or down, and occasional very loud bursts of noise during the day that sounded like an enraged elephant on steroids. Not so good when you're trying to give a presentation in their conference centre. I suggest you phone to check the elevator work is complete before making a booking.…
