The hotel location is perfect, but the rooms is not in good conditions, and the room specification it not the same in the website, the price i think it higher than the value i have got in the hotel. Finally the breakfast, the tabels and chairs are very sheap, low quality, and doesn't fit to hotel with 4 stars.
Originally built by the local export industries (like Volvo and SKF) to be the star quality place to stay at in Gothenburg, one arrives with expectations of that kind of experience. That’s not quite what’s delivered, though. Nothing really bad with the service, but nothing stands out either. For instance, they have a few parking spaces on the premises, but you can’t book them in advance. Why? I guess because it means some work for staff... Having booked several weeks in advance and asked for parking we still had to park in a public parking space... You are given some “discount coupons” to the hotel restaurants on arrival. Apart from the ridiculously small discount, they also came with a long explanation on how you cannot “misuse them” all at once anymore... A kettle in the room, but only coffee for one person. A minibar that’s almost empty... No complimentary water... So, nice-ish staff, but poor service level. Room (deluxe) was ok. Well cleaned, good (firm) beds. Plenty of pillows, air conditioning, two tv’s (why?)... Ok storage space once you had cleared away bathrobes, pillows and kettles occupying all closet shelves. Unusable, miniature shoehorn. Power socket only on one side of the bed. Curtains do not cover the many windows very well, so if a pitch dark bedroom is important for you there will be issues. Nothing really wrong with the bathroom and it was well cleaned, but all the joints looked yellow and general feeling was “a little tired”. Some traffic noise, but not overwhelming. The little balcony was nice, but sort of pointless without any furniture to sit on. Apart from poor coffee and orange juice, the breakfast was really good. Pre-booked time slots to avoid crowds (should be kept also post Corona). Everything you can expect at a generous breakfast and all food of good quality. A bit unclear if you could order other eggs from the chef working there, but the scramble, bacon and baked beans were really nice. Very good bread. Factory made pancakes for the little ones and delicious mini croissants for all. All in all a nice hotel. With more attention to detail, it could become great.…
it was a nice experience. the hotel is located in the middle of the center and therefore you can move comfortably. the cozy room with the balcony with a very nice view to the park. the breakfast is excellent with quality and variety of products.
I have stayed at this hotel a few times before but lately they have improved. Especially when it comes to the breakfast. The breakfast was really good this time and my rooms (920) was in a good condition with a nice living room attached to a bedroom that in every way was a great place to spend the night. I will definitely come back.
We stayed here for one night and it was pretty great! We had a superior room and got lucky at check in asking for a balcony! I do recommend you ask for this upon booking because it does make for a lovely memory, having a quiet drink there watching the city lights. Super fast and pleasant reception. Ok sized room, all mod cons, ok clean and very comfortable. Maybe a bit in need up an update, especially the bathroom. Breakfast was good as well, no complaints. Ice is on the second floor only, and remember to bring your own cup or container to bring the ice in. So you don’t have to go twice as well. I usually don’t like Elite, but this was a very nice stay, despite the best efforts of the bar staff. Ordering a drink after dinner was interrupting the young staff members having a private “party” with their friends at the bar. Just rude. And a nearly full bar in corona times(!) And terrible selection of beers. I suggest you go to Locatelli if it’s quiet or Bishop for a last drink instead! Or actually anywhere else since the hotel is located smack in the city center!…
