I have stayed at this hotel a few times before but lately they have improved. Especially when it comes to the breakfast. The breakfast was really good this time and my rooms (920) was in a good condition with a nice living room attached to a bedroom that in every way was a great place to spend the night. I will definitely come back.

We stayed here for one night and it was pretty great! We had a superior room and got lucky at check in asking for a balcony! I do recommend you ask for this upon booking because it does make for a lovely memory, having a quiet drink there watching the city lights. Super fast and pleasant reception. Ok sized room, all mod cons, ok clean and very comfortable. Maybe a bit in need up an update, especially the bathroom. Breakfast was good as well, no complaints. Ice is on the second floor only, and remember to bring your own cup or container to bring the ice in. So you don’t have to go twice as well. I usually don’t like Elite, but this was a very nice stay, despite the best efforts of the bar staff. Ordering a drink after dinner was interrupting the young staff members having a private “party” with their friends at the bar. Just rude. And a nearly full bar in corona times(!) And terrible selection of beers. I suggest you go to Locatelli if it’s quiet or Bishop for a last drink instead! Or actually anywhere else since the hotel is located smack in the city center!

This is definitively a good hotel, no question about that. Well situated, easy access to loads of services and things to do when in Gothenburg. Service at front desk was just great; fast, friendly and service minded, both at check in and check out. Rooms are of standard size and are clean and tidy. Bathroom is perhaps not the best I have seen in a hotel. More space for your things would have been appreciated and perhaps a hanger or two more. But it is clean and fresh and there are nice hygiene products, as you would expect. The bed was amazing! The TV-set was suffering from delays and pixelated pictures sometimes. There is a minibar, although highly priced, but not all hotels have that anymore, so appreciated. You could hear some noise from neighbours, but in general it was very quiet which was also appreciated. Maybe it was due to a less amount of guests, maybe the rooms are sound proof... There is a gym with a variety of equipment that worked well and was in good shape. Breakfast is the main reason for not giving this hotel the highest rating. Maybe this is also impacted by the pandemic, but there are still things that can be improved. A decent range of food to choose from, so most people can find something good I reckon. Personally I would have appreciated a few more fruits to choose from and perhaps more vegetables. Dairy products and cereal offered a basic assortment but the bread could have been better. It is not bad, but a profiled hotel like this could have offered e.g. sourdough bread, bread with crust and definitively not the bread-like croissant. It should be the butter version. Orange juice would benefit from being a better choice of quality. The pancakes is a nice feature, but using Swedish sugar based syrup rather than maple syrup... not good enough. But these things are only mentioned for the hotel to use as suggestions for improvement. I am picky with things like this and want to mention that the overall impression from this hotel is still very good. So I hope the breakfast ”incident” is only a consequence of the pandemic. Great staff, great bed, great location etc, you won’t get disappointed I think, unless you have unrealistic expectations.

Perfectly located in central Gothenburg, just at the very top of "Avenyn" this hotel offers great accommodation that is within walking distance to pretty much everything! And if you don't fancy a walk, taxis are always nearby. We stayed in suite no 8 for a couple of nights and it was very nice. Huge and comfortable bed in the bedroom and a bathroom with a large tub easily fitting two adults with a separate shower area. TV's in both the bedroom and the living room area. All in all we found the suite comfortable and spacious. The best part was the private balcony overlooking the ferriswheel of Liseberg! There was a Nespresso machine in the suit, but you only get four pods a day included free of charge, which felt a bit skimpy since the suite isn't that cheap. The staff was friendly and professional. The hotel has taken measures to ensure your safety in these Covid19 times and we felt that they really took these measures seriously. For example they do serve breakfast buffet style, but they monitor closely how many guests there are at any given time and reserves the right to deny if to many. Despite really warm weather (30C) the temperature in the suit stayed at comfortable 20 degrees C. Breakfast was nice, service was nice, the room was nice! Can absolutely recommend!
