I am sorry to say that this beautifull place has a terrible staff, I went there with my company an forgot in my room 2 pairs of shoes in a dresser. Both pairs were in a bag and when I called the hotel 2 days after I checked out( because I unpacked only 2 days after I forgot about the shoes) and told them my problem, they said that they found only one pair of shoes. Of corse, the shoes that were found were not as new, pretty or expensive as the shoes they did not found. I called the manager but he seemed like he did not care, as if this situation was normal. Shame on you guys, we wonder why Romania is avoided by many, well, you guys seem to prove them right. Very very dissapointed!
Unfortunately far from 5 stars. The room is nicely decorated and clean but one window faces the inner courtyard parking and anyone can pick a view inside, not to mention the noise and gases from the cars, the other, the bathroom one, faces a back alley on which the garbage is stored. The staff is using loudly the trash bins from late night to very early morning. The cooler in the room is very noisy and had to be unplugged. The restaurant is small and cannot accommodate enough customers. The staff is under specialized and careless. If you miss the breakfast there is no alternative until 13.30 - 14. The food on the other hand is tasty and there is a nice selection of beverages. Last order is 21.00 hours and the restaurant stays open until 22.00. If you try to order even 5 minutes after 21.00 it is not possible even if you tried to get the attention of a waitress 10 minutes previously. The argument was I should have gone to the bar and order there. The parking as well is insufficient for the amount of customers. The pool is small and has insufficient chairs. The temperature is right and it is clean. On the premises there is a playground which is nice. The hotel offers a lot more services that I didn’t try.…
The resort looks great, as a genuine Austrian guesthouse, even the restaurant's name Eddelweiss suggests this. Instead of all this, they can pay more attention to small details, such as, not placing the rooms near the reception, because of the high traffic, tourists do not sleep well. Yes, the AC cooler positioned on the outside wall makes more than subtle noise and it is impossible to not hear during sleep. If someone at the reception desk coughs it feels like the door amplifies the sound. We paid the same amount of money as the other rooms and I think we have equal rights. The rooms near the reception could very well be made technical rooms, but the owner wanted to take full advantage of the opportunity to make an extra income. From my point of view it spoils its image for free because the resort looks good.…
My family and I had a lovely few days in this hotel..we had a lovely room facing the lovely mountains, so the view in the morning from the balcony was very enjoyable. The room was very comfortable, good beds, enough space, clean bathroom. Could do with more tea and coffee sachets and milk as by a certain time we could not get any from downstairs as everything seemed completely shut. Restaurant doesnt serve until late..that was our only problem..and if you are eating there, do mention it because if you don't we found that they close earlier than advertised..we had to find somewhere else to eat after our day out..believe me, nothing open in the village , we had to go further afield. One afternoon, we decided to have a rest and not go out so we used the swimming pool indoors. we had a fabulous time, the pool to ourselves , One of the staff popped music on in the pool area..so we had our own pool party effectively..it was really good fun..for that alone, Im sure the children would want to return . There is a lovely pool outside, but the time of year we went the pool was closed . Even though we had fabulous weather it would have been too cold to attempt outdoor swimming anyway. The breakfast was average..I think in the future if staying I would be tempted to see if there is an alternative idea in the village as there never seemed to be enough of anything for everyone staying..it did seem to be too much to ask for bread for toast or an egg or a sausage..it seemed to be an invonvenience to ask for the staff...that was mainly the only problem at the hotel was the restaurant..a shame..otherwise everything else clean and comfortable and very well located. As others mention in reviews..very nice but definately not 5 star..more 3.…
A weekend with family and friends in a very nice location. Everything was nice, but definitely not a 5*. Nice location, very nice decorated and room amenities were there, including the full mini bar. Playlist all over the location was just relaxing and perfect. Very attentive staff (some minor aspects can be also improved). However, there were details, easy to be covered in order to be a 5*. Towels (more than 1) in the suit were with holes in it (unacceptable), only 1/3 of the TV channels working. A very small part of the staff was using uniforms (a must have in a 5*). In various visits to the reception the person attending was sitting down. Staff was taking cigarettes breaks next to the kid's playground, on an alley. These observations should be seen as constructive criticism to the management and not necessarily bad, but improvements for the future. …
Very good location. Also a very nice hotel, beautiful arhitecture and very friendly and proffesional staff. The food is very good and not expensive. Nice pool. Very good for relax and for family with kids. Highly recommended!!!
I visited the Ambient Resort for my cousin's wedding. I was deeply impressed. The resort is really environmentally friendly. An exceptional atmosphere, very friendly and professional staff, especially Lucian, the best costumer service. The food was delicious. What impressed me the most was the smile on the faces of the employees who served us 'till the morning, they work really hard and I hope they are rewarded for it. Also the breakfast. Delicious! Very chic rooms, perfectly decorated and cozy. A fairytale atmosphere all along. The quality of the exceptional service was impressive. I warmly recomand this venue to all of my friends from Uk and I hope to have the opportunity to visit you soon. Well done Resort Ambient!
If you have your own transport then the location is ideal for getting into Braşov (15 mins) and down to Castle Bran (30 mins). It’s also an hour’s drive to the wonderful Castle Peleş. Uber also operates there and getting into Braşov old town is cheap and easy. The hotel was the the best 5 star we stayed at in România. The room was elegant, well air conditioned, spacious and the WiFi worked well. We used the indoor pool and sauna which was a nice way to end a busy day. Breakfast could be better but it doesn’t effect the overall charm of the place and the high quality of the old fashioned, but tastefully modernised, Hotel.
We came for a wedding in Cristian and were all hosted in Resort Ambient. Very nice welcoming, had one typical dinner for 40 people in the 1st night. Nice swimmingpool in the garden, indoor pool and sauna as well. The resort is very quiet, rooms are beautiful, you can relax at the pool and in the garden. Breakfast was really good as well. Very nice experience. You're 15min driving from Brasov, 20min from Bran (Dracula castle)
A quiet and confortable pension with a specific 'atmosphere'. A pleasant restaurant with a good kitchen. A nice garden with swimming pool. Very friendly staff. The location is very good, close to the old Evangelic church and with an easy access.
