In the heart of Stockholm’s finance and shopping center, ProfilHotels Hotel Riddargatan offers a modern and pleasant sanctuary. A comfortable stay in an international and personable setting is our offer to guests who want to live centrally with high demands on location, standard and service.
Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travelers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
This hotel has a central location near Stureplan and Nybroplan. This area has plenty of shops, restaurants, and bars.
We booked a suite for 240 euros. All suites have a modern but very different decor. Our suite on the 4th floor had stylish furniture, a balcony, and a jacuzzi.
The biggest problem was the light switches. Most of them could be found next to the bed. We could find no other way to put on the ceiling light in the living room than take the key card away from its slot next to the room entrance and after 30 seconds put it back. Then all lights went on. After that, you could switch other lights off and leave the living room light on.
There were two televisions in the suite but no remote controls for them. Luckily, the bedroom television could be turned around to see where the switches are located. The bigger living room television was the same model and the switches could be found in the same location and in the same order.
The bathroom had a clear light wall next to the shower to the room entrance and a clear glass door to the living room. So it was not very private doing your toilet needs.
We had also trouble keeping the shower doors closed. The other one came constantly to the shower and the other one was slipping to the sink. Luckily the provided sleeping kit included blinders with rubber bands. With that around the doorknobs, you could keep the shower doors closed.
Everything else in the hotel was great. The suite was well equipped (except for the remote controls and minibar price list).
The reception staff was very friendly. Our room was ready on arrival at 12:00.
The breakfast was excellent. The buffet was kept in an immaculate condition.

The hotel accommodation was very good overall good location and breakfast, however when booking a taxi from the hotel to the airport we were given a price and then were charged another price higher than the one told by the receptionist which is very disappointing. The hotel blamed the taxi company instead assume their mistake so we ended up paying more for believing in the hotel. :( at this point I’m still waiting an apology and answer from the hotel. Spent 2 nights here, and I stayed in room 604. Large room, clean and also small stuff made it even better. Weights for workout, free water bottles to drink as well as ear plugs. Ear plugs were not needed as it was quiet, and I heard absolutely no noise whatsoever. Emergency exit out of the window, so probably the safest room in the hotel. The bed was SO comfy - googled it, and the price for one cost as much as my car. Needless to say, I loved it! Good food as well. I am returning here if I go back to Stockholm - very central located, we walked all over.

Room was spacious with everything you needed and beds were really comfortable. Breakfast was nice, with lots of choices, even catered for my non-dairy diet with various different milk (oat, soya etc), also had gf bread. Location great, walkable to everywhere. Only negative was that the WiFi was poor in the rooms, only worked well in Reception.

Nice room of good size, nice bathroom, comfortable bed and pillows. Very nice breakfast with a quiet breakfast area.
But, really bad sleep, due to horrible noise levels, both coming from the hallways in the hotel as people walked by, but primarily from the street outside. I got a room on the first floor, and needless to say, this being Stockholm centre, there were a lot of people screaming and shouting outside after midnight, (this was a Wednesday, would probably be worse on a Friday or Saturday). There appears to be no noise reduction at all in walls/windows. To make matters worse, at 5 am until 6 am, a number of garbage trucks (2-3) passed by and emptied anything from class containers to garbage which sounded as if they were IN my room. Horrible. The rooms on the first floor towards the street should not be sold without a warning label about excessive noise in the middle of the night and early morning!

Room and bathroom were clean, contemporary, well-equipped and comfortable. Breakfast was outstanding — nice selection (including GF & vegan) and all very well prepared . Freshly expressed, healthy fruit/vegetable juice shots were a really nice touch.

If you need an affordable room in central Stockholm for one person, just choose Hotell Riddargatan. The room was better than I expected: modern, pretty large, nice bathroom, window, desktop, two chairs, wardrobe. There is subway, bus and tram "just around the corner". There is also a big grocery store four blocks away and a market hall one block away.

We spent 4 nights in this hotel. The room was small but nice, the bed comfortable, the bathroom impeccable. We recommend the breakfast ! Food can be expensive in Stockholm when you are looking for quality, the hotel breakfast is generous and excellent. The location of the hôtel is perfect to visit the city walking and close to the ferrys. The staff has been very helpful. A big thanks to them. We really felt at home.
