I stayed here for 6 nights total and it was fantastic. Great location in Sundbyberg, the hotel surrounded by restaurants, bakeries, shops, market, church, river, park within half mile. Plus within walking distance less than half mile to train, tram and bus station. The hotel is great, with great and helpful staffs. I got upgraded to bigger room overlooks the street. The room is clean and nice, big bathroom with heated floor. Not sure on how to sure the temperature control but didn’t quite needed since I got sun into the room and at night, it was perfect temp for me. Breakfast is typical continental breakfast but with delicious do it your self waffle. Overall, I really enjoyed staying here and wish the stays last longer.

Maybe the best hotel in Stockholm area for contened budgets. It is far from city center but well connected by different kinds of public transport, you can reach the town’s center by ten minutes trip. Room was super clean, well heated and comfortable. Beds are maybe too soft for me but seems usually in Sweden and that wasn’t a problem. Staff is friendly and helpful. A great quality breakfast is included, although always is the same and I missed a bit of variety. If I’m back to Stockholm I will stay again at Story.

Hello E2916KSmiguelangelg, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us! It is very nice to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us and that most things lived up to your expectations. Thank you for mentioning our staff, we put a lot of work into giving our guests the best service as possible and it is comments like yours that lets us know that we are moving in the right direction. The hotel is located a bit outside the city centre, but like you say, we are lucky to have all kinds of public transport just outside the door and you can reach the centre of Stockholm within just a few minutes. Sundbyberg is like a small city itself with everything you need in terms of good restaurants and shopping just around the corner. So next time you are in the area be sure to check it out! Thank you for your comment of the breakfast, it pleases me to hear that it was to your satisfaction. We are always looking for ways to improve and make our breakfast even better, so I will take with me your comment of some bigger variety when it is time for the next update! Thanks again for your great feedback and for being our guest, and we look forward to welcome you back very soon! Kind Regards Emelie Nilsson Front Office Manager Story Hotels

Story Hotel Signalfabriken is located in Sundbyberg which is a 10 minute train ride from the city centre or about 20 minutes on the metro. It is about half an hour away from the airport, ARN. The advantage of the hotel is that you have plenty of restaurants and shopping around the hotel and the prices are better than centre of town and you are only a short ride away from everything. The hotel is located in what used to be a town hall and fire station, and the rooms are nice, unique and cosy and have very nice amenities. Whilst the hotel doesn't have it's own gym, they send you across the courtyard to a full service gym which is fantastic. The lobby area is also part of the restaurant and coffee shop and has plenty of space for both eating and working. Overall a great hotel at a good rate to explore Stockholm

I was given room 410. I have to warn you this is not a double room, the bed is too small for 2 people to sleep and the room is VERY tiny. I was a solo traveller (business trip) but I was very disappointed as my fellow travelers had larger and more comfortable rooms then me. I had to go down some stairs and it is generally very dark in the corridors, it was like entering a dungeon or a cellar or something. It was not "inviting" at all. Breakfast was OK except for the coffee, if you are a coffee lover just even don't try it. Overall : overrated for the value given.

Nice experience, good feeling of the hotell in general. Classy, good service, nice combo with phillys resturant. Easy access and nice with code instead of keys or card. Breakfast, great. But no choco cereals... You get a 5 in rating but no chococereals really dissapointed...

Loved the interior design of the room and restaurant - modern, industrial feel. Staff with a high level of customer focus. Comfortable bed. Big, fluffy towels and gorgeous sink in the bathroom. Refrig with complimentory bottled water was a nice touch. Only negative would be the need for brighter lighting in the bathroom and additional hooks for hanging a robe. Very easy access from tram. We had a room on the top floor so the street noise wasn’t so disturbing. Would definitely stay here again when in the area.

The hotel and room were beautiful and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious with lots of fresh fruit and vegetables and could only be improved by a wider selection of cheese for vegetarian guests like myself.

One small improvement that I’d wish for would be better beds. The mattress in my room was extremely soft and saggy and made it hard for me to sleep comfortably. A firmer mattress/better bed frame would’ve made this into a perfect stay.

4 night stay on business, hotel is modern, quirky, cool, friendly staff, super location all in all really really good!

Eat in the burger restaurant on night 1 which was good, small but tasty selection to go at. Plenty of beers etc to chose from.
My room was on floor 5 and looked out over the Main Street, comfortable and quiet but the pillows were a bit disappointing and squashed very very flat personal preference is a more robust one 😂 however I still slept well.
Breakfast was good and typical continental style with scrambled eggs also.

Loved my time Sundbyberg and this hotel really helped, very impressed love to come back

Traveled for work and had a lot of packing. Stairs right behind the entrances, on the floors, everywhere. No one to help, of course.

Room was nice a d clean but it’s in the details: no outlet on the side of the bed, tiniest bedside “table” disguised as lamp that was so wonky I spilled water all over my phone and bed when moving in the bed, no power outlet close to the water cooker, had to put it on the floor to make some tea and the light in the bathroom was nice and cosy but I like to wear makeup and prefer to see myself in the mirror while putting it on.
No breakfast available before 8 am and the ordered breakfast bag wasn’t available with a cup of coffee or any kind of beverage so I skipped eating a dry sandwich in the lobby and got something at the next gas station.

Pretty underwhelmed tbh.

I chose this hotel due to its proximity to places and the convenience of having the light rails and commuter rails within 3 minutes of walking distances.

The room is average sized, comfortable bed. There is no aircon and could get hot during the afternoon. There is a window which you could open but it was quite noisy as my room faces the main road with the light rail trains. After the noisy 1st night, where there are rowdy drunkards till midnight and trains running before 5am, I closed the window at about 11-12am in order to have a better sleep. Another issue is the design of the panels of the showering area. The showering area is relatively small and the 2 pivoting panels are designed not to close completely, leaving a gap of 20-30cm gap and water would splash onto the floor of the bathroom. It's a very strange design.

There is a restaurant just below the hotel and the food is good. Though the breakfast does not a have a big spread, food was delicious.

The location is great as it is near restaurants, cafes, supermart and the train stations.

The customer service is relatively good. What bugs me a little is as I arrived a day earlier than my 2 other friends, I informed the frontdesk to have their rooms away from the road and the front desk registered that request. Only one of my friend did get a room away from the road.

How much would it cost to get from the airport Arlanda? How long would it take?

Take the Flybussen from Arlanda as this stops pretty much outside the hotel! Check their website for the correct. Us to catch (these leave frequently during the day). This took roughly 45 minutes. and cost about £17 return if I remember correctly.
Answer from Kevin S

As Robbie says the stop is 'Sundbyberg Torg' and you go just past the Hotel, which will be on your left, when you arrive - so you have to walk back on yourself a few hundred yards and cross the road. On the bus/coach there is a Red stop button that is located immediately above your head on most seats (which can be a bit of a stretch) - although on the 2nd row back on the right hand side as you sit in it (which is the first row with 2 seats - the veery first row only has one) the button is located on the side to your right and is much easier to push.

Cheapest and most direct way is to take the Flygbussarna airport bus which goes directly to Sundbyberg from Arlanda. Get off bus at Sundbybergtorg (town square) where the hotel is situated. Buy tickets and check times on line. A fabulous bus service and beats all the messing about changing trains.
