We had a truly wonderful and magical stay at Rival! The room’s view was marvelous, over looking the park which was blanketed in snow. The room was lovely with an array of pillows to suite anyone's needs. The bed was incredibly comfortable! The people at reception, the restaurant and the staff that took care of our room were attentive, informative and genuinely caring. They reminded us to dress in layers and offered suggestions of where to see the Christmas 🎄 lights. We look forward to returning in the future but maybe in May next time and not December. Hotel's Favorite
The Rival Hotel lived up to all of our expectations and we are happy to recommend it. All we lacked was a reasonable car-park solution... *The location is fine with an easy 15 min. walk into the center of the city and a little less to the Metro Station. *The room (a standard one) was small but absolutely functional and well fitted. We didn't miss anything. And the layout was different and awesome. *The facilities were fine with nice restaurants and bars with excellent food. The breakfast was truly great with a huge buffet and eggs/hot dishes cooked to your liking on the spot. *The service was excellent throughout - especially the staff in the reception was very welcoming and helpful. *The ambiance of the entire place is awesome. The design art nouveau. We enjoyed especially being able to sit outdoors to dine and wine. PS: You might, however, experience a bit of noise from the bars/restaurants as the place seems to be very well visited and there is a theater-like venue next to the bar... Hence ask for a room with a certain distancee to same. PS PS: The Hotel offers a vallet garage service but at an outragious price (due to no short-term garages avaiable nearby and the fact that you cannot park your car in the surrounding streets more than for a few hours only in general we suppose). However, we did find an open parking-lot where you could park for more than 24 hrs. and at a rate of SEK 160 per day/night. It was next to the München Bryggeri on the Söder Mälarstrand a 14 minutes stroll from the hotel (via a small stairway). Worked fine for us!…

Staff, restaurant, room and the over all experience is just lovely! Slept like a baby, and the pillow menue is a God given adition to it all! If you're not chosing Rival for your stay, you're chosing wrong!

Excellent stay. From check into leaving your staff were extremely helpful and welcoming. The upgrade was appreciated— that is a very nice room overlooking the square with very good amenities. The food in the bistro was very good where we ate with our friends and the downstairs restaurant was great for lunch. We will definitely be back

AMAZING experience! A particular shout out to Michelle at the front desk - she was so incredibly knowledgeable and attentive that I thought she was the general manager of the hotel. I literally don't have any complaints about the hotel. The room was stylish, and I particularly loved the luxurious bathtub and cute private patio. The bar had great drinks and I enjoyed the restaurant as well (I only had dessert there but regretted not having dinner there as well). We also really enjoyed the neighborhood/location. Most of all, the service was spectacular. If I have the opportunity to return to Stockholm, this would be my pick of hotel!

Nice and spacious hotel. Rooms were very nice and they serve free coffee, tea and fruits. Breakfast was excellent. The hotel is located in a nice area and the hotspots are on walking distance. Public transport is also very close.

I stayed in the Hotel Rival for just one night, but enjoyed every aspect of it! A very friendly welcome, the most speedy elevator I’ve ever had in a hotel (or anywhere, actually) and a lovely room equipped with soundproof door and windows, a DVD/CD player with some of those to use for free, a very comfy bed with LOTS of pillows - and even a teddy bear to make you feel like at home :-). The complimentary breakfast was also a blast: a very tasty buffet AND a menu with e.g. avocado bread or pancakes with cream and jam to order from. And it’s served until 11:30 a.m. which must be the latest breakfast I’ve ever come across at a hotel. All in all a wonderful experience- definitely recommend the Rival and hope to stay longer the next time!

Just the best - our favourite place to stay in Stockholm. A wonderful atmosphere, great breakfast, warm and helpful staff. Location is brilliant and the bars are perfect for a nightcap after an evening out exploring. We will be back!

We really enjoyed our 3 night stay at Hotel Rival. The room was spacious, comfortable and we laid out. There was the best wardrobe space for two people I have seen in ages. The breakfast was superb and presented in an elegant setting, not at all like most breakfast rooms. But best was the welcoming and attentive staff - when we explained that we would be leaving before breakfast the next morning for a very early train, they immediately arranged for a picnic breakfast that was handed to us on the way out the door. Outstanding.

We had an excellent time at Hotel Rival. The room was a good size and very comfortable. The included breakfast was very good. The staff at the reception desk were very knowledgeable and helpful. They gave us a lot of information on the history of Stockholm as well as museums and other things to do. They provided information on running routes, directions to the proper ferry to Djurgarden, and a lot of other things. I would highly recommend a stay at Hotel Rival.
