The Clarion Hotel Stockholm offers a mixed bag of experiences. While the hotel's location garners praise for its convenience to dining, transport, and attractions, opinions on the rooms are split; some guests relish the comfort and views, but others criticize them as cramped or outdated. The cleanliness often receives compliments, contributing to the hotel's inviting atmosphere, though some feel the bar could use more charisma. Despite the appreciation for a substantial breakfast and spa, the additional costs for amenities like pool access contribute to the sentiment that the hotel may not offer the best value.

Fantastic stay. Outdoor pool is heated year around, saunas are nice, breakfast is good and room was very comfortable.

The hotel is in airport, therefore you can walk to it without leaving the airport. Very convenient at all counts.

Excellent service, front desk friendly and accommodating.

The hotel had got 5/5 if it wasn't for basically all the room doors squeaking enormously loud and we lacked conditioner and shower cream. We told them at the reception but got another shampoo. After the second time, however, it got it right.

We start with the parking lot adjacent to the hotel and with the hotel code the cost was not so great.

All staff were very nice and accommodating.

Rooms slightly small but good storage, clean & fresh, comfortable beds, Rituals products. Got a room with a view towards Globen which felt like a plus.
Quiet and good soundproofed rooms.

Breakfast was PERFECT! There are staff who prepare omelettes and there is guacamole that feels extra luxurious. Even when there was a lot of people, we did not experience crowds, long queues or loud noise.

Good location with both shops, restaurants and parks nearby. We like to stay here more times!

4-star hotel located near the skanstull metro station, green line, 4 stops from t-centralen. It is located above a very busy road (ring road type) that takes you in and out of the city. Very noisy continuous traffic day and night. Comfortable mattress. The window in the room on the sixth floor is beautiful, but the view of the highway is not very fascinating. No windows. Not being able to change the air, the room feels a little heavy and dusty. I booked this hotel because it has a spa with swimming pool, paying more than other similar and more central hotels that do not have a spa. It's the first time that as a hotel guest you have to pay an entrance fee (around 20 euros) to access it. It is also closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. If I had known before, I would have booked a more central 4-star hotel even without a spa and would have spent less. Very varied international breakfast. Good level of proposal, with the exception of the typical Italian breakfast. Little choice: every morning only small empty croissants and mini muffins. Espresso coffee not present. Courtesy set in the room practically non-existent, only wall soap dispenser, shower gel, body cream and conditioner (good quality though). Hotels of this level should at least provide a cap and toothbrush/toothpaste. Quick check in/out, but poor information from staff. Basically the hotel is quite nice, a little impersonal, but expensive for the services and the location. There are many restaurants and bars in the surrounding area. If I were to return to Stockholm I would not stay here again.

This was the first time at this hotel, but it will likely be more times.
We stayed in a superior double room, overlooking the Globe or rather Avicii Arena. The room was quite spacious and to our liking. Nice with carpeted floors. The only negative thing about the room has to do with the bathroom Things to do. An ordinary door to the bathroom would have been preferable. Now it's a sliding door. It had come off a bit for us, which was solved when we told. However, there is always a gap between the door and the wall, which of course makes everything clear in the room. A small mirror that you can swing on sits just inside the door in the bathroom, but it feels most redundant and in the way. The towel hooks by the sink were a bit stupidly placed, because they are right by the toilet paper. A tip is to instead place the holder for the toilet paper on the wall on the other side of the toilet, not the same side as the sink.

Breakfast was great. There is absolutely nothing to complain about, but there was everything you could wish for. An extra plus because there were omelettes made to order while waiting. The guy who made the omelette was super nice. The breakfast room was cozy, large and welcoming. Even she who received at breakfast and offered "tequila" was very nice.

When we came back after Tjejmilen we were treated to coffee from a cart, by the same woman who received at breakfast. This was really appreciated.

The location of the hotel was great. 1 minute from metro station Skanstull.

Overall very good stay. Staff were excellent from the spa to reception to the lovely lady who welcomed us into breakfast. Breakfast was excellent, huge choice, listed for allergies. A free from corner, with GF bread, crackers, muffins etc. Plus DF yogurts, milks. Awesome healthy options too such as maca, hemp, wheatgrass powders. Omelette station perfect.

Rooms bland, very corporate hotel. But the comfiest bed ever! Powerful shower too. No safe which is unusual, our only gripe as well as a scruffy fraying bath towel.

Spa nice but small and serves alcohol so not a serene quiet place on a Friday night! The steam room smelled of sweaty feet. The sauna was large and clean. The inside/outside pool with a view a treat. Chairs around the pool were not exactly comfy. On Thursday night the extra room was off limits, but Friday it was open which had relaxing chairs or beds. Spa approx. £18 for hotel guests for 2.5 hrs.

Great location, felt very safe. 1 min walk to Skanstull tunnelbana. 3 stops to Gamla Stan, 4 stops to T-Centralen and Stockholm Central Station. Easy to walk to Gamla Stan, about 40 mins. Can catch ferry to Djurgarden from near Slussen. A 10 min tunnelbana ride or 40 min walk. Tunnelbana you can tap in with contactless but you don't have to tap out (all the Brits looking confused!). Easy to connect from SCS to Arlanda Express to airport. We got from hotel to Arlanda airport in about 50 minutes.

We recently stayed at the clarion hotel Stockholm and on the whole it was a very positive stay.

The room was very nice albeit a little dated - in truth this was the tv and the shower but both were adequate and the tv was never used but if I’m being picky the shower head could be larger to cater for the generously roomy showering area and the tv could be something that doesn’t look 15+ years old.

The rest of the room was fantastic, plenty of storage, plug sockets, comfy bed etc.

The hotel location was fantastic with a lot of nice restaurants close by, an underground stop literally on the doorstep, it made travelling around the city really easy.

The atmosphere and vibe of the hotel was really nice and the range of food available for breakfast was impressive.

My main negative was that we booked this hotel specifically for the spa features and the timings were advertised as it being open until 8:30pm but on the Sunday as we went to book we were told it actually closed at 3pm on a Sunday which was a shame considering we had already booked somewhere for earlier.

Aside from that the hotel was really impressive and we would stay again.

We have lived at Clarion Stockholm for more than 10 years and (proven) been very satisfied. Although it has become a bit dated over the years but the location and overall experience has been good. Until now.
It started with that it was not possible to check in in the app (maybe not Clarion Stockholm's fault) so we had to queue a little before we went up to the room. There was an extra bed. We hadn't ordered one. It still stands 2 days later...
There was some hair in the bed that doesn't come from any of us, the shaving/makeup mirror in the bathroom is broken and the molding between the shower doors is broken. You cannot pump soap out of one soap dispenser. The towels are clean but so washed out that they can hardly be called towels anymore. The fridge holds a maximum of 10-12 degrees so the drinks there are undrinkable. At breakfast, there were no pancakes or bacon 30 minutes after it opened. "Be right back." Soon won't be 30 minutes. Our glasses we used are not washed / changed, so we had to wash them ourselves. Same with the coffee mugs.
Next time we'll have to live somewhere else.

We enjoyed our stay at the Clarion hotel. It’s conveniently located with the centre being easily reached after a short walk. Staff were very helpful, polite and professional. The breakfast was fantastic with a large choice from both cooked and Continental

The room was very clean, and that everything in we required we visited in December and the weather was bitter cold outside but the hotel was kept at a nice warm temperature.

We have lived in a Superior double room with a bathtub for the past 6 years. In the last 2 years, the maintenance has completely fallen into disrepair. comes up to the room and the mixer is broken. Get a new "more exclusive" room, where the valve in the bathtub is broken. The third room worked, but all rooms were worn. If you book a room with a bathtub, you assume that everything works. But they have Sweden's best hostess, Mimmi. She is always pleasant and puts everyone she meets in a good mood with her wonderful personality.

We used to live here like 15 years ago and buy the amazing New Year package that they had then. The location is so good that the only people who are closer to the subway than the hotel guests are those who live in the subway.
They had redone the entrance since we were here last time and it felt smaller than I remember but it was still fresh. Unfortunately, the previously beautiful glass staircase between floors 1 and 2 had been severely worn and it no longer led up to one of Stockholm's best cocktail bars. Now there was just a sad beer tap behind bars and a dreary sofa group with the occasional stressed teleworker instead of party people. What was new was that they had put out a pool table and a shuffleboard for the guests. Absolutely great. Every kid loved it.
The rooms are quite small but quite ok. Big plus for the extra bed for the children in the rooms are real beds and not that back-killing folding rappel as it usually is. See and learn every other hotel I've ever stayed at. Unfortunately, the room was very poorly cleaned. There was quite a lot of visible dirt on the floor and the trash cans were not emptied. If someone flushes a toilet in the hotel, it sounds like the trash compactor on the Death Star all over the house. Very strange sound. Despite this, everyone slept amazingly well. The beds here are something by far. Breakfast, however, was a battleground. What's the point of having breakfast reservations if you still let everyone in at any time?

The hotel is quite ok but it is not as good as it has been so if you have never stayed here before you will not be disappointed.
