A great and inexpensive place to stay, but a little noise at night along the dock. Great location!!! just minutes from the old town, the ferry and the Subway. Stayed in the hostel part and for 300 kroners a night, one can not beat the price. Clean rooms and comfortable beds. Super friendly staff. My only complaint is that it... More

The Hostel is only a few walkingminutes away from the old town, is directly on a pier opposite to the townhall. A unique location if you do not expect too much comfort. The cabins are partly equipped with bunk beds . Shared showers and toilets are located on the leading side, some cabins are equipped separately with shower and toilet.I... More

We wanted value for money - a family of 4 and we didn't want to splurge £300 a night on a mediocre hotel when we were out sightseeing all day. The boat worked really well for a number of reasons. 1. Great location. Opposite the City Hall (major landmark) and close to ferry crossings and the tube. 2. Reasonable breakfast... More

Stayed for 2 days right in the heart of Stockholm. Really an enjoyable experience as it is in the vicinity of the Old town. Bein in love with the ships i had a great time. Very comfortable, safe and with great service. Good food, great beer and really enjoyed sitting on front of ship and having a cold beer while... More

I kind of loved this little boat and I also kind of hated it. I stayed on the white boat in a single room. It was minuscule but better than the other single I saw as it faced the water and had a small window that opened. View excellent as well and I liked being able to sit on the... More

You sleep in a cabin which is small but comfortable. Beds are excellent and you are overlooking the river and it is quiet (unless you chose the street side but would not recommend it because then it is noisy). It is 5 minute walking distance from the old town. Breakfast as well as the room are good value for money.... More

It is a good choice if you travel on budget or look for something different. The room is very small, got a bunk bed in it. But bed is comfortable. Bar is cozy. It is a great choice for backpackers. But I don't like the idea of the shared bathroom. Luckily, it is only for a night. Nice experience. Should... More

Staying on a boat on Lake Malaran overlooking the Parliament building is pretty cool. I think I had one of the best rooms on the larger Ran moored next to the Red Boat, which was roomy and pleasant. Not cheap but worth it. OK, it wasn't the greatest shower in the world (a deep clean would be a nice idea... More

Staying in Mariatorget

Neighborhood Profile
Mariatorget
This rather quiet neighborhood revolves around a postcard-like park with a dramatic fountain in its center and is definitely one of Stockholm’s showcase neighborhoods. Mariatorget, a central residential area, is the best Stockholm has to offer when it comes to juxtaposing architectural masterpieces with sophisticated art galleries, coffee shops and bars. Stockholmers love to spend their weekends in the park or one of the nearby coffee shops, so come to Mariatorget to meet the locals. The northern part of Mariatorget boasts historic buildings, beautiful cobblestone streets, and one of Stockholm’s best observation decks, Monteliusvägen, from where you can see an amazing view of the city hall and Stockholm’s old town.
