Recently visited Wasa park with friends for a few nights to explore the city and do a bit of shopping. It's perfectly located, with a variety of restaurants and bars nearby (and for quirky, tasty cocktails I recommend you check out the Tiki room just down the road!), and just a twenty minute walk from the train station, from which you can access the airport, coach station, mall of Scandinavia and a whole host of boutiques and independent shops in just a short journey. The hotel itself is beautiful and charming, with gorgeous and very unique interior, and when paired with the fact each of us paid £40 for the whole stay, was an absolute steal! Not only this but the food for breakfast was delicious AND included in the price; a very traditional Swedish breakfast buffet with yogurt, bread, caviar and lots of lovely sandwich fillers, juices, coffee and tea and pastries. In room amenities were great and we selected to have a private bathroom- which itself was well stocked, very clean and pleasant to use. Staff were kind, friendly and helpful too. The only criticism I could give would perhaps be a lack of drink making facilities (coffee, tea etc) in our room but honestly for the price and service this was hardly a problem at all. I highly recommend and would love to stay here again!…
The hotel is the worst place I have ever slept in my life. The security guy who did the check in for me was aggressive and wasn’t even able to speak English. Very odd person that at some point I felt unsafe. There was constant noise overnight and the hotel is old. Very weird place to stay in my overall experience was disappointing.
As solo traveler, I got the single room, shared bath. My room was very cute. As a designer, I was lured in by the photos and everything was tasteful (not your ugly, sterile chain motel) But it’s still a budget option so the place was a bit worn. so unfortunately, even if the place is clean, it feels a bit unclean. I’d suggest newer, starched sheets to management. I was strategic in showering in the evening (just cleaned and no one around) versus in the am when the two bathrooms available to me were being occupied around 9:30am. The bathrooms were a bit small. That said, the staff were very nice, and hotel has easy access to public transport, with really top notch Portal (designer bar/restaurant) and charming Apropos (speakeasy vibe bar) just outside which really made my nights after a long day of sightseeing. So pick and choose your battles. At $60/night in a pretty expensive city, I think it’s a pretty good option.…
This is a cross between an upmarket hostel and a hotel. It is centrally located adjacent to a metro station and bus stops. We had booked a room with an en-suite. It was economically priced for central Stockholm. The room although smallish was comfortable but not many facilities. Strangely there was an electric kettle but no adjacent plug point and no cups etc? But did not like the fact that instead of hand towels there were paper towels and not in a dispenser, although there were bath towels. The step up to the bathroom was a little precarious at night initially but got used to this. The breakfast was simple but good. Certainly would not hesitate to stay again.
The ensuite room was adequate for our 3 night stay, breakfast was very good, staff friendly and welcoming. Nice views towards the park and the area felt safe at night. Plenty of choice for dining in the area.
A cosy family business, discent breakfast, clean bathroom. It is in an old but nice building with big windows and good heating. The staff very kind and helpful. A little expensive, but close to the center and in a very nice area, with a great restaurant bar next to it!
Very nice hotel located quite close to central Stockholm. The staff were all very friendly. I really loved the vibe of the hotel, it was sort of old fashioned but very cozy and cute in its own way. Some people may be bothered by the shared bathroom system but I though it worked out fairly well. The breakfast was nothing amazing but sufficiently decent. Not too much noise around, which is great. Highly reccomend.
The hotel is in an old house one floor up from street level. There is a small elevator in the house. There is a restaurant right next door. The underground station Sankt Eriksplan about 100m from the hotel. Car parking house right next door. The airport buses stay outside the hotel. Approximately 1.4km to enter the T.Central and the main square. And then you have a park beautiful park right next to walking in.
I love: 1) Historic location. This house shares roof with the house A.Lindgren lived into in 1931-1941. Here she first met Karlsson-on-the-Roof, a popular character in Russia. 2) Nice-looking clean rooms. Furniture is painted the same colors as houses outside. 3) Very responsive staff. They helped me with info about the city. Also I managed to check in at 11:30 instead of 15:00, my room was ready to that time (but of course you can't rely on this. It was mid-October, not a high season). 4) S:t Eriksplan metro station is located only 100 meters from the hotel.
The hotel has an excellent location in a bustling part of the northern center. Entrance is a bit hidden, but once inside, it has a certain timeless charm. Room was bigger than expected and it was pretty quiet. Plenty of breakfast options. Helpfull, welcoming staff. Would gladly return some time.
