This hotel has a great location it is warm friendly the staff are excellent speak great English and are very helpful, the rooms are clean tidy small a bit quirky but a little jaded. Breakfast is very good and I would say the hotel is value for money. Downside no tea/coffee making facilities in the room and as you will... More

Stayed at the Hotel for 3 nights from 22/16 until the 25/16, We had an amazing view from the room we had which was shared between me and my father, the scene was beautiful and it was a very good location to shops, restaurants and the Historical town of Gamla Stan. The staff was pleasant and the morning breakfasts that... More

Great as a base to sleep, breakfast and explore the city from as location is superb - however not a luxurious hotel to spend a lot of time in. Stayed for 3 nights in sunny September weather. Arrived at 9pm and was underwhelmed by the first impressions. Initially thought the room was terrible as it was cell like with just... More

We had the family room for two nights - it's on the busy street side just down a few steps from the reception area (so no issue with carrying bags up the stairs as mentioned by others). There is one (small) room with 2 twin beds and another with a double bed, a small sitting/living room and private bathroom with... More

We stayed here for one night. You are pretty much well located for everything here. The room we stayed in was quite large and the bed was very comfortable and there was a lovely huge window that overlooked a busy street. We thought that this would affect our sleep, however, as busy as the street was by day, it was... More

This is a very nice hotel in many ways – it's got an extremely convenient location right next to Slussen, with walking distance to all sorts of nice places, and it's located in two charming historical buildings, and is nicely decorated to complement this fact. The beds are comfortable, and the breakfast is very good. However, the rooms are small and... More

Just returned from an excellent trip to Stockholm. This hotel is in an excellent position . next to slussen tube station and just a 5 minute walk to gamla stam where you will see such beautiful medieval 17th century buildings . We stayed at the back of the hotel which was quite noisy due to people walking to and from... More

Worth to know, Since the hotel was built in 1640...things has changed. 1. The bathroom in room #32 was built for extremely small people. 2. If you plan to stAy at this hotel , make sure to pack your overnight cloths in a separated bag, since the staircase is steep, and high. 3. The checkin time is at 3:00 pm.... More

Stayed 6 nights in a single room with toilet and shower. Lovely bed and cozy room. Clean and tidy, very friendly and service oriented staff. Excellent breakfast with everything you could wish for. The hotel's location is very good, 5 minutes to subway and buses. 10-15 minute walk to old town. Close to restaurants, bars and ATM's

First the down side. Please note THERE IS NO LIFT. If you are unable to do stairs you will not be able to do this place. Also there is no air conditioning which should ordinarily not be a problem but we arrived during a heat wave. However, we have yet to find a hotel in Sweden that has it. The... More

Staying in Slussen

Neighborhood Profile
Slussen
A unique mix of grotesque 1960s concrete urban vision and cosy historical Swedish brick houses, Slussen has become one of Stockholm’s most architecturally edgy and controversial neighborhoods. Plans to rebuild the area have been on the agenda for decades, however, so far no agreement could be reached, which is the reason for the continuing decay of its brutalist substance. Nevertheless, the museums and the main shopping street, Götgatan, attract both locals and tourists with Sweden’s most fashion-forward clothing retailers, hipster coffee shops and restaurants. Once the lights are out, the area turns into a bustling nightlife haven, catering to all preferences, from posh hotel bars to sweaty underground nightclubs. There is no better place to experience the clash between old and new Sweden.
