I stayed at this hotel during my last visit to Stockholm 15 years ago and remembered a bright hotel with a large hotel room and current ikea-esque furniture. My room this time was tiny, both the room and the bathroom. The furniture was old and beat up and there was hardly any room for luggage. The breakfast area was crowded...

Dear Warren, I am very sorry to hear that. It sounds like you had a room in our smaller sized categories. Please contact me next time you are going to Stockholm and I will help you to find a similar room as your last stay 15 years ago. I would also really appreciate if you can contact me so we...

You can feel the history of this hotel glowing as soon as you walk into the reception. Our family room was spacious and lovely old style, yet with modern ammenities. Reception staff were very friendly. The breakfast area can get a bit busy in the morning, but nothing too much. Our only challenge was the room was facing the local...

There were two adults and two children travelling and we took this hotel as a part of a ferry trip. The location was excellent. We walked to the hotel from Viking Line terminal and then continued our way to Gröna Lund. We left our luggage there so that we would not have to carry those with us when enjoying ourselves...

Hotel is located in the downtown area of the city, walkable to the theatre and boat trips around Stockholm. Great area for sitting outside the hotel. Breakfast very busy but great selection. I was travelling in a group most of the double rooms were excellent but the single room was very small. The desk staff were very friendly and helpful...

Good breakfast buffet with a large choice and free fruit and coffee available throughout the day. Good fast WiFi. The single room I had was extremely small and unbearably hot (no fan or AC), but when I asked at reception the lady was very helpful and friendly and upgraded me to another room which had AC (and was bigger). Very...

This hotel is well located if you want to stay in central Stockholm. It is walking distance to the Royal Palace, Gamla Stan, shopping malls, Djurgården etc. I recommend to borrow the hotel's bicycles to ride around Djurgården. It offers rooms with old and new (modern style) I recommend taking a room with old style. The breakfast is good and...

Came to Stockholm for an extra night and wished we had booked this hotel for our full stay. The location is excellent and only a short walk to the old town and other attractions. Service was excellent and very pleasant. The breakfast buffet in what could have been a large version of somebody's traditional home kitchen was EXCELLENT - quality,...

We found it hard to pay so much for a hotel room, but that's the way it is in Sweden. However we were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at Kung Carl. Neither the website or the outside of the hotel suggests how attractive and homely this hotel is on the inside. The front desk staff were nothing short of excellent,...

I had a great experience with this wonderful hotel at prime location. I stay there for 7 nights initially at a single room. Later shifted to a double suite. Both the rooms are awesome. Friendly atmosphere. Must have the wonderful breakfast.

We had a great experience with this hotel during a two-night stay. The reception staff were friendly and helpful and the rooms were actually large for Europe. The rooms also have good air conditioning which in the summer is helpful because you don't want to leave your windows open here (see below). While it is located about a mile from...
