Neighborhood
Norrmalm
Norrmalm is Stockholm’s most central and busiest neighborhood. It’s home to the main shopping street, Drottninggatan, and to Stockholm icons like the Sergels Torg glass obelisk, the famous Hay Market with its Carl Milles sculptures, and the Hötorget Skyscrapers, a sight on every other Stockholm postcard. Norrmalm is also home to Sweden’s most traditional department stores Nordiska Kompaniet and Åhléns City juxtaposed with Stockholm’s most modern shopping mall, Mood Stockholm. Visitors to this area get to experience the unique Swedish philosophy of protecting cultural heritage while also staying on top of fashion innovation and modern architecture.

Fairly small room but great location. Breakfast was very good. Bed was very comfortable, shower was adequate. No mini bar but tea/coffee facilities included. Would be happy to stay here again should i be in Stockholm

Hotel's Favorite
I stayed at Hotel C for two nights. They offered an incomparable weekend rate that would make any budget traveller happy. Ideally located right across from the Arlanda Express terminal at Stockholms Centralstation. Quick and friendly check-in. Room was fairly small, but well appointed, with a fully stocked bathroom. My room was windowless--which is great for spring and summer nights when late sunsets keep things illuminated much later than what most of us experience. And no street noise to deal with. The breakfast buffet was busy, but well stocked and laid out. Something for every appetite. A great place to launch Stockholm exploration. Highly recommended.

Can't say enough good things about this hotel....convenient, clean, accommodating, free breakfast, great value. I would return here in a heartbeat! First, hotel was DIRECTLY IN FRONT of us when we exited the Arlanda Express train from ARN airport. And aside from the convenience of finding the hotel, it's just a 15-minute walk to Gamla Stan. Second, the delightful receptionist graciously admitted us early a.m. after a sleepless red-eye flight from USA. Our one-hour power nap saved our day touring Stockholm. Third, clean rooms and comfortable bath and bed (we had a Standard Room with a window). Fourth, discounted price to upstairs Ice Bar (170 SEK vs 215 SEK). Fifth, informal and tasty restaurant (Swede Hollow)....we enjoyed the meatballs and cod entrees. Sixth.....how can I say....included in the VERY AFFORDABLE PRICE for the room was a 5-STAR BREAKFAST, with 5 breakfast stations.....all delicious! Seventh, finally, totally accommodating by letting us safely leave our baggage after checkout and before we needed to board our ship later that day. In short, it was a TREMENDOUS CHOICE! Thank you Trip Advisor!!

Good: Location is excellent, my flight arrived in Stockholm at 9 am. I was in the Vasa Museum before 10:30 and because I walked from the hotel to the museum (about 25 min). I was able to walk everywhere from the hotel. Breakfast was good as well, a lot of options. Although I was surprised to see that if I want a latte, cappuccino or eggs prepared in certain way, I had to pay extra. Bad: Room is SMALL. If you think hotel rooms are small in Paris, wait until you get to Stockholm. But for my purposes it was ok, just to sleep and shower basically. Ugly: The front desk/reception! Wednesday 28 August around 9/10 am. I arrived earlier that the checking hours, just to drop by bag. The guy who I talked to treated me like he was doing me a favour. He looks like he is always on a bad mood and you are just bothering him. At some point another employee came to ask him something, they both were just talking and talking and me just there waiting for them to finish… I understand if there is something urgent they need to tell each other, but talking for several minutes while I am there waiting, ignoring me, it is unacceptable. I went back to the hotel after 3 pm, to do proper check-in. The lady at the reception greeted me with “hey”. While I can appreciate the “cool” attitude, I don’t think it is appropriate to receive guests with “hey” (is this a hostel?). She also looked like she was doing me the favour of talking to me. Check-out (Sunday 1 September around 8:30am). Unfortunately, the same guy who “helped” me with the check-in, “helped” me with the check-out. Again, same attitude of disdain. I won’t stay here again.

This hotel was chosen as it’s located in central Stockholm and next to the main train station. The reception area gets very busy so you do have to queue, however they are fast once you get there. I had a room located on the 3rd floor in the corner as I like quiet rooms. It was really nice, albeit a bit on the small side. The beds and pillows were super comfortable and the shower was fast. Breakfast was very good, I would definitely recommend for tourists and business people as the train goes directly back to the airport.
