I stay fairly regularly in Elite Hotels and this time stayed in the Elite Arcadia. Best way of describing my stay was 'OK.' It was not as good as some of the other Elite Hotels, but there was nothing bad either. Check in staff were pleasant and polite. Comfortable bed and clean room with modern bathroom. The halls and communal areas seemed a little tired, but the old fashioned lift was quirky and a nice touch. Breakfast was included and was standard Elite hotel breakfast with bread, cold cuts and various hot dishes including sausages, bacon and scrambled eggs. Hotel doesn't have much of a communal area. The restaurant space is small and in the evenings there are lobby tables to sit at with waiter service drinks, but it really did feel like drinks in the lobby rather than drinks in a bar. Location is about 25 minutes walk to Stureplan and the centre, but it is fairly close to Haga Park if you want to have a nice jog in the morning or the evening. So all in all an OK stay. Not great, but not bad. The Elite Arcadia hotel is functional, but it's not wonderful.…
Clean rooms, friendly staff, good breakfast and close to public transport (metro station Tekniska Högskolan at 2 minute walk and busses also nearby). Breakfast buffet was constantly being refilled so if you were a bit later everything was still available.
Very disappointed. I almost exclusively stay in Elite Hotels properties when in Sweden, this was my 10th stay in Stockholm and my first at this property. Prior to this I had stayed at either the Elite Stockholm Plaza or the Elite Palace Hotel. On first impressions the hotel seemed fine, and we loved the character of the lift which had a manual door. We was asked whether we wanted a double or two single beds in the room, so asked we asked for the two singles - a double we got. In the room, we opened the window which when we did the handle stayed in our hands. Maintenance advised us that this is correct, the handle does come off and we had to replace it each time we wished to open or close the window. Whilst we’re in the room, the safe was also not working which required maintenance to sort also. Really was not a good start to the trip. The hotel does not provide an iron in the room, instead they have an ironing room in the basement, let’s just say I chose not to wear that shirt rather than iron it in the ironing room. Whilst we’re in the basement, there are toilets to be found down there, however extremely dirty in our experience with broken toilet seats. There’s a sauna down there too, but we did not use that facility. Breakfast was quite frankly shocking in comparison to sister hotels. Selection was poor and very cramped in the area, that’s when the restaurant was not even busy. Location is good, though less central than the Stockholm Plaza, however getting around Stockholm is easy so location was no problem for us at all - we did in the end choose to stay there! Beds were comfortable and clean. I would not recommend this hotel, but suggest the others previously mentioned. Unfortunately for me, I shall be staying with a world wide chain on my next visit.…
Hotel room is clean and staff are nice. It is too byst area and you hear the street all night. The bathroom is too small that you should be carefull when you take a shower. Staff in the reception did’t answer my reservation request but called me an stressed me the day before arrival!
I booked the Arcadia hotel for a last minute business trip, so it wouldn’t have been my 1st choice. The pros are that it is clean, modern communal areas, friendly staff and nice breakfast. Unfortunately the hall ways and rooms are dated. I went to open the window and the handle came off in my hand! Saying that, the beds are comfortable. I also found the hotel to be quite far from everywhere I wanted to go both business and tourist places. If I had to stay here again I would and it wouldn’t bother me to much, but I wouldn’t stay here again through choice.
I was well met by the receptionist and slept very well during the night. The room I stayed in was well-kept and clean! The hotel breakfast had a few vegan options: oat yoghurt, müsli and cereal, bread and vegan butter; Sufficient for a Thursday breakfast, but I hope that they do serve hot brunch.style vegan options on weekends.
This hotel is conveniently close to KTH, hence why I stayed here. The rooms and corridors have seen better days. At check-in, the young lady with the sweetest of smiles asked if I "wanted my room cleaned at all" during my three-day stay, suggesting that they are short-staffed. Indeed, when I entered my room, it hadn't even been made up. The bed sheets, towels and rubbish of the previous occupant were still on the floor. I was given a different room, an "upgrade" according to the kind young lreceptionist, but still the room looked tired and in need of refurbishment. Breakfast was decent though. All in all, not too bad if you can a night for under 70 EUR.
We have chosen the hotel for a visit at the KTH. Was the closest. The rooms were nice (deluxe rooms), good beds. In one room it was not possible to open the windows. The window area needs to be repaird! Good beds and fine breakfast. 15 min by public to the center.
The hotel is fine but i’d expect something more for that price in such an “off” location. Compared to other major hotels in Sweden the rooms are quite run-down. Nice communal areas though. Information in the leaflet inside the room said breakfast is served until noon on sundays, but once we arrived at breakfast just after 11 we were informed that breakfast closed at 11 and that this information could be found in the elevators. Very annoying. Also unclear/contradicting information about check-out time. The staff at breakfast consisted of one person, who was super unenthusiastic both mornings we were there and mainly just glared at us. Overall the feeling is that the hotel is not prioritized by Elite hotels and that their focus is on other hotels in more central locations.
The Elite Hotel Arcadia provides well maintained facilities and good service. I especially liked their sauna. The hotel is located across the street to what is considered a posh part of the Stockholm. Proximity to the metro station, railway station and number of bus stops make it convenient to go around.
