Hornstull & Långholmen
If you love having a drink by the sea right on the beach (and who doesn’t?) Hornstull & Långholmen should be on top of your list. The area was recently redeveloped and now not only offers artsy bars and edgy restaurants but also a post-modern shopping mall complex for urban retail therapy. Hornstull belongs to the more established and sophisticated neighborhoods in Stockholm and is the typical place where you’ll find Swedish dads meeting for a latte during their paternal leave, or where local office workers meet up at the art cinema for a drink or a movie after work. The beaches in Hornstull and Långholmen are popular destinations for barbeques and sunbathing during the summer. Bring sunscreen.

First impression of the hotel was good, nice atmospherer and kind staff. The room however was terrible, and I have low standards. Bedsheets were torn up, drinking glasses in the bathroom were dirty, i mean really dirty. Hairdryer cloged with filth, a big hairball was found on the

The lack of service of the cleaning is not acceptable and actions have been taken to improve this. Please accept our sincere apologies, and be assured that this has been discussed with the staff to prevent similar situations to occur again. Some old town hotels in this categorie are really just old. Malmgård is different. Cosy, clean, professional, great breakfast. Its like living in a real Townhouse and remembers what a Malmgård was. Thank you so much for this experience. You made my Days.

Cozy place with good service. Clean and tidy in the room. Recommend to take one of the small double rooms upstairs under the roof. The breakfast buffet was quite ok down in the basement. Nice and helpful staff.

We visited with our 2 year old and wanted somewhere walking distance to Gamla Stan. It took around 25 minutes but there is public transport if you want it.

The hotel is beautiful. It is 300 years old with some great original features and quirkiness. However it has been modernis

Dear Ashley, We can only say "wow" back to you; what a wonderfull review! Thank you for taking the time to share it with us and for recommending us to other travellers. We are glad that you liked the unique inviorment that has been created turning the house from 1770 in to a hotel. It is also nice to read that the breakfast was to your liking and that you enjoyed the free hot drinks with sweets. This hotel is not as any usual chain hotel. It has a special atmosphere because of the kind of building and the decoration inside. The wooden floors at the rooms, like the room had where I stayed, makes it even more special. I had a room that felt kind of spacious and it was well

is the bus stop for the bus from Arlanda airport near the hotel please?
Get the metro one stop to Hornstull station and turn right as you come out of the station. The bus stop for the Flyggbussarna (Lillleholm to Arlanda route) is about fifty metres down the street. There is a pedestrian walkway across the road as you look right and the bus stop is just before that. Ask any local under 40 - they will tell you where it is (in beautiful English)
