Hotel's Favorite
There are not enough words in the English dictionary to describe how spectacular the Grand Hotel is. If you need a place in Stockholm to get away from busy city life, the Grand Hotel is the place. The rooms are beautifully decorated, spacious and have super comfortable beds so one is refreshed after a good night sleep. But more importantly, one is mentally refreshed knowing that every little detail has been taken care of by the meticulous staff. The staff is truly outstanding – Francisco is so welcoming at the front to the efficient front desk to the hotel housekeeping servicing the room. Rather than outsourcing the cleaning to an outside firm which I believe other Stockholm hotels do, I believe the Grand has its own in-house cleaning staff. The difference is night and day. I work in the hotel room during the time rooms are normally serviced. At other Stockholm hotels, I sometimes miss the opportunity to have my room serviced because the cleaning company has left for the day. At the Grand, I do not have to worry about being out of my room at a certain time in order to have my room serviced. Not having to remember little details like this every day is priceless. Attention to detail by everyone at the Grand is consistent. I have seen some guests be rude over very little things – maybe they had a bad day. So it was amazing to see how professional the staff is despite having been subject to rude treatment. I know I would have not been able to be so gracious as they have been. The hotel is stately, historic and yet state of the art at the same time with Smart TVs that stream in the rooms. Internet is very fast and is never down. The rooms have plenty of charging outlets which is unusual for a historical building. The hotel has thought of everything for the working traveler – rooms are equipped with electric converters and the business center is beautiful. It is very convenient to have access to a business center with printers, computers and a place to work, all in a beautifully decorated room complete with comfy sofas and chairs. It seems like many hotels in Stockholm have done away with business centers within the hotel and so I really appreciated this extra amenity. The Nordic Spa is unlike anything I have ever seen. It is as if one is swimming in a cave with lighted torches giving just the right amount of light to make one feel transported to another world. The saunas and all of the water amenities are so relaxing and refreshing. Around 6 or 7 years ago, I remember the Grand used to allow children swimming access during a specific times. I hope that in the future, the hotel might consider reinstating these specific hours as currently, no children are allowed inside the spa. The Grand Hotel is one of the most beautiful hotels in Stockholm. Somehow, it manages to preserve its distinguished history yet at the same time, it is able to provide the modern amenities that a working traveler needs.…

Great hotel for an easy stay. Everyt top notch besides the drinks at the bar. Easy choice if you can afford it. The lunch and breakfast was amazing. Just a perfect start to the day. Can't wait to come back next year.

We stayed at the Grand Hotel for 4 nights in September, 2023 in the Deluxe Room with water view.This was a lovely room with a superb view of major important buildings, like the Opera House, The Royal Palace,etc. Extremely well located near all major points of interest. An excellent reception staff and Concierge services. The wonderful historic 'Verandah' for a great buffet breakfast. The historic 'Cadier Bar' for evening drinks and afternoon tea. Even my membership of the 'Leaders Club' was recognized and complimentary breakfast at the 'The Verandah' added to my stay. This hotel ticked all the right boxes of an excellent hotel with exceptional services

The bed and pillows were divine. We slept so well as it was so so comfortable. Not every hotel can achieve this. The staff was so helpful and we both remarked on how nice everyone in Stockholm is. The concierge was very good at explaining things to us like how to use the metro and where to go to see the Jubilee parade to see the King and Queen. Breakfast was very very good, we had the option of ordering a la carte or the buffet and we chose the buffet each morning. The hotel even scheduled us a cab to take us to the airport on the morning we left as it was early saying they would be sure to reserve one that was trustworthy and would charge the correct rate. ( we had one bad experience with a cab driver who attempted to rip us off one evening but it all ended well) This is a fabulous hotel to visit if staying in Stockholm.…

Beautiful historic hotel in the city centre of Stockholm, overlooking the old town and the castle. Perfect location for exploring the city. Service is excellent from the time when you arrive until you leave! We stayed in a superior room facing the inner yard, which was very quiet and nice. Fairly spacious. Comfortable bed and bedding. Bathroom with bathtub. Really liked the toiletries from Etro! Breakfast was very good. You have two alternatives: A la carte in the Cadier bar, or buffet at the Veranda. Both are great options. This is probably one of the best hotels in Sweden.

This was the first time in 18 months that I stayed at Grand Hotel. The service and quality was as superb as I remembered. I was booked into a room that was exactly what I wanted. Grand Hotel is my second home in Sweden!

Again it was a pleasure to stay at the Grand Hotel in Stockholm. This time I visited the new Bistro with a menu that suites a more quick meal. The Gnocchi was delicious. The hotel is a true Leading Hotel of the World.

Had a fantastic long weekend at Grand Hotel with exceptionally hospitable staff and incredibly tasty breakfast both in room as well as in the Veranda. Spa was one of the best I have ever visited. Can highly recommed Grand Hotel if you are looking for luxury and excellent customer experience!

Belle epoch hotel with empire furnishings, but nothing musty about it. The location is the best and the elegant dining and bar area have a great view of the palace and major sites. They maintain the traditions of a great hotel with crisp linens, silver and impeccable friendly and thoughtful staff who really make an effort to resolve any need. The included breakfast is excellent and to order.
