I stayed at STF Gärdet for 6 month during My time as supervisor at a construction site nearby. Me and alot of My co-workers were living in Gärdet and could easily Walk Either to work or the subway in the morning. The rooms are clean With your own toilet and shower in-room and Also small flat screen tv's. The kitchen... More

Could not get a proper Hotel so stayed here for a night. It was a good, clean place though it is a Hostel so lots of young ones although at night it was quite peaceful surprisingly. Breakfast was very basic. Would recommend it if you cannot find any other place close to downtown as the location is very good.

We booked this because it was easy to get car parking. We had a twin double room with bathroom inside. Breakfast was great and the staff was very helpful. Everyone can use their kitchen but it was overcrowded most of the time. Our room was cleaned every day. You can find many hostels in the city but it will cost... More

If you want something more or less cheap ( how cheap its can be in Sweden?:) ) then this hotel is fine. This is one of the budget places where in your room u will have a window! Nothing luxury, but for 1-2 nights quick stay its would work. We did book a room in a hotel ( they also... More

I needed a room for marathon weekend, and the place was perfect for that. For me it had all needed basic facilities. Breakfast was ok, I got the required nutrition from there. Free WLAN works reliably, big plus for that.

Close to bus stop (2 short blocks). Room was clean. Evening clerk very helpful. Low budget (for Sweden). Had no problems with wi-fi - quick and stable. Would recommend for budget travelers. Half hour bus ride to city center. NEED BLACKOUT CURTAINS!! Floor in room was very slick. Graveyard/morning clerk (gentleman) somewhat rude. Did not want to be bothered with... More

We enjoyed our stay in STF Gardet. It's not terribly far from the Gardet metro stop, though it would be a bit much if one had a lot of luggage. I'd say about a 10 minute walk away. The hostel staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was small but clean and comfortable. The linens and towels are provided... More

About 4 km from the city center, but well connected by bus and subway. Plenty of parking on the street. Really friendly and helpful staff. Low quality breakfast: very few choices, and only small portions of each available. Medium size rooms, more cleaning necessary.

Staying in Ostermalm

Neighborhood Profile
Ostermalm
With its high-end shopping facilities and Michelin-starred restaurants, Östermalm is definitely the poshest part of central Stockholm. Here you will find Stockholm’s most majestic residential buildings, a beautiful market hall from 1888 displaying gourmet foods from around the world and the Swedish Royal Dramatic Theatre with its awe-inspiring architecture. At night, legendary nightclubs make the perfect location to observe the natives (and those aspiring to become natives of this exclusive neighborhood) in their natural habitat and to enjoy the latest produce of the Swedish house music scene.
