Well, you've read the other glowing reviews - and all they say is true! We chose the private dining venue (Boo Book at Bonnie's restaurant) to celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary, and the views, service, food were all exemplary. From start to finish, the hotel staff accommodated our special requests, helped us receive packages and gifts, and made our stay an exceptional experience. Our special thanks to Rasmus who finalized our dining reservations, for his remarkable attention to detail. Thank you all, we hope to be back for the 60th.... Gary & Deborah
I have only good things to say about this hotel, the room, the staff, the food, the property, and so on. At check-in we were greeted with smiles and two glasses of sparkling cider in champagne glasses. Our room (202) was beautiful, cozy yet posh, high ceilings, and a sleek, sexy and luxe bathroom with dark marble and good lighting. Mattress was on the firm side (which we liked) and pillows comfy. We got the turn-down service on three of our four nights, and it such a pleasure to come back to the room at night to soft music playing and to find a healthy (!) snack on the bed and a sweet little note. The breakfasts at Bonnie's restaurant in the lobby were fabulous. We could choose a menu item and also help ourselves to the buffet where they offered absolutely everything we could want and more. And the setting was to die for. I could image the space being a real bank back in the day, but of course everything has been updated so tastefully and stylishly for modern times. Again, very friendly staff in the restaurant as well. It was a joy to go into that airy yet welcoming room and eat a delicious breakfast every morning. I must also say something about the little bottles of toiletries in the bathroom. Usually such things are OK or even good, but at the Bank Hotel they had Diptyque (amazing brand!) toiletries and they smelled so amazing that I actually took a bottle each of conditioner and shower gel home with us, and a week later we are still sniffing them and recalling our wonderful experience at the Bank Hotel. I hope we do return to Stockholm someday and we will not hesitate to stay at the Bank Hotel again.…
We came to Stockholm for our first visit and stayed at the Bank Hotel for 4 nights. The hotel is well located to the city center and is easy walking distance to many sights and the boats. We were greeted by a very pleasant front desk staff. We had asked for a quiet room and they did great in accommodating this request. The room was very nice and the bed was very comfortable. We travel a lot and notice if a place is clean and this hotel and the restaurant and bars are all very clean. We don’t normally eat dinner at a hotel but we did here and I’m glad we did. The service and food quality were excellent. Maid service was daily, we hung out a cord they ask you to put out for service. This was a great idea. My wife and I want recognize to some of the staff for exemplary service and great attitudes. The front desk staff we met: Tilda, Laura and William. At the lobby bar: David and Rasmus. At the rooftop bar: Martin and Gary. All of them were so pleasant and went out of their way to be helpful. This is a great hotel and we highly recommend it. We would definitely stay here again.…
Stayed here for a week in July with our son (10) to leisurely explore Stockholm from a comfortable base and were more than happy with our choice of hotel. The location of the Bank can hardly be bet. Walking distance to many (if not most) major points of interest, and very close to the piers for ferries and sightseeing boats (also to the Archipelago) and to public transport stops (along the line of tram 7 connecting the central station/Arlanda Express with Djurgarden/Vasa Museum). The hotel building is very elegant, especially the entrance, the main restaurant and the bar. Many of the rooms seem to be located in newer, less spectacular parts of the building. Staff was excellent throughout, from the reception to the breakfast and the bar - friendly, attentive and professional. Our rooms were very nicely furnished and perfectly clean, turn-down service was offered. They faced the back, were quiet and offered a nice view of a synagogue and a garden. The rooms were, however, rather small for a luxury hotel. We had a "elegant classic" room which probably measured the 20m2 given as a minimum on their website, including entrance and bathroom that is. Our son's adjacent room was a bit smaller and probably fell in the "elegant essential" category, which I would not recommend for two persons. For a (couple) stay of more than just a few days, I'd probably go for a room above the "elegant classic" category next time. As we had booked at a very good rate, we didn't have a reason to complain. Breakfast was excellent, from the selection (and presentation) of fresh fruits to the buffet and the items you could order off the menu (included in the price, try the Chia pudding). We went to the Papillon bar several times and had dinner there once (from the restaurant menu). Drinks and food were very good and the prices were acceptable (given that Stockholm is a very expensive city when it comes to dining and drinking out). Altogether a fantastic hotel and a great base to explore a wonderful city. Highly recommended.…
We stayed 4 days in here, and it was great!, they have a nice hospitality, the breakfast was also good and the rooms were nice, the only thing is that in the rooms the A/C wasn't working well, but they give us a fan so it was ok!
My husband and I recently stayed at the Bank Hotel for four nights while visiting friends in Stockholm. We had just come off several days of travel throughout Europe and were ending trip there, somewhat exhausted. We got a suite on the 8th floor and the room was fabulous, the views looking over rooftops and beyond to the beauty of Stockholm and the services were top shelf. We ordered room service several times and it came faster than anything we've ever experienced and the food was outstanding! The rooftop bar and breakfast venue was amazing and the service was professional and friendly and the food was top notch. The front desk staff were all professional and courteous and helpful as well! Also within easy walking distance of major attractions and Gamla Stan! I highly recommend this hotel! We will undoubtedly return to beautiful Stockholm and will surely look no further than the Bank Hotel for our accommodations!!…
The best of the best in Stockholm! Friendly staff, beautiful rooms, stellar breakfast, the list goes on….After our first visit in 2019, I knew we had to return when we were in Stockholm this past May, and I’m so thrilled that we did. Bank Hotel will always be my #1 in Stockholm!!
I am a world traveler and went to many hotels including famous hotels in New York,Paris,Cannes,London,Buenos Aires,Barbados,HongKong,Dubai etc….This hotel was a wonder.Everything was special: the room, the breakfast, the bar,the restaurant and in every place we felt being in a very special place
One can quickly run out of superlatives when describing The Bank. As soon as you step into the entrance, you realize this hotel is not just an ordinary hotel. Our spacious room was excellent, from the comfortable bed to the wonderful shower plus all the great amenities – the slippers, the housecoats, the turndown service and the toiletries. Everything was truly in a class of its own. Breakfast at Bonnie’s was delicious, plus eggs of your choosing. All the receptionists were truly wonderful – friendly, warm and engaging and extremely helpful in more than one instance. Their assistance was so much appreciated. Thanks for making our time in Stockholm that much more enjoyable.
This is a marvelous hotel - comfortable rooms, great service and a terrific location for proximity to the T-Bana (a 1-min. walk), the waterfront (2 min. walk), the Opera (3-4 min. walk), and other prime sightseeing locations. The staff are extraordinarily pleasant and helpful. Rooms are typical size for European hotels, but nicely decorated. Public space is beautiful and plentiful. Buffet breakfast in the restaurant is nothing short of amazing (although skip other meals there). Several speedy elevators mean short or no waits. We were here a week and would happily come back. A place in which to make memories.
