This is a hip hotel in an excellent location and trendy neighborhood. The staff is consistently very kind. A nice bar and restaurant are attached as well. Rooms are not massive, but more than sufficient, and the bathrooms are really good. Plenty of space, super clean and modern. All is a good value. Say hi to Ignacio and Esther st the front. They are super caring and friendly. Also can't leave here without mentioning Pia. She is the kindest housekeeper.

I stayed in "The Bath Room" for four nights.
Positive: The bed was super comfy! The bathroom was spacious and fresh and I could lay in the bath tub while watching TV which was a super big plus for me. The location was great. Both check-in and check-out was really easy and fast.
Negative: It was really noisy, both from the street and through the walls (you HAVE to have earplugs to survive a night). The breakfast was really boring (not bad, just boring..). Other than that it was mostly small things that caused some irritation. For example the schampoo shelf in the shower was barely hanging on to the wall, so it could not be used and will probably fall at any time. There was no iron or ironing board in the room. The hangers were non-removable, so bring an extra hanger if you want to hang something in the bathroom for example. Hardly any of the services on the TV worked (couldn't access Netflix, Viaplay, Hotel info or Room service from the TV) and the remote control rarely responded.

Hello emela892, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us! It pleases me to hear that you enjoyed the bed and the bathroom and I agree with you, watching tv while relaxing in the bathtub, what could be better? I am sorry to hear that you were both disturbed by our other guests as well as from the street during your stay. We are lucky to be located in such a great and vibrant place with lots of things going on around the hotel, which unfortunately sometimes mean that it can be loud during the weekends and evenings, but I still hope you got a good nights sleep. I am also sorry to hear that the breakfast did not really live up to your expectations. We have chosen to focus on a healthy and energizing breakfast, and we understand that it is hard to accommodate everyones preferences, but we try to reach as many guests as possible with what we offer. Thank you for informing us of the things you felt were missing or not working the way it should during your stay, so that we could take care of this as soon as possible. I do hope the good parts made up for the things that could have been better and that you decide to give us a new chance to prove ourselves and to show you what a stay with us is supposed to look like! We hope to see you back very soon! Best Regards, Emelie Nilsson Front Office Manager Story Hotels

Me and my partner and our dog shared a dog friendly room, the King room. The room was great and I loved all the different shower gels and creams from the nice brand Bruket. The bed was super comfy and the room was very spacious. It would have been nice with some bowls for the dog but maybe we could have just asked for that!
The staff was very friendly and accomodating. The allowed me to have the room for 2 hours longer on the check out day as it was very quiet. We had some issue where we had booked a non dog friendly room but they upgraded us to a dog friendly one for free (it was about 3-400 krona more) which was very appreciated.
The bar is great and the restaurant as well. The location is also so good, we loved taking a walk along the water in the morning. Due to the corona restrictions we mostly stayed in the hotel or went for walks.
The one thing I was disappointed about was the breakfast. First of all it didn't feel corona friendly at all, for example having butter in a bowl and everyone touching the same cutlery. Also it was very minimal, no hot food or anything. I think it's okay with minimal but then the actual food should be off great quality. I've been in other boutique hotel where the breakfast has been quite small but really good. This was just your average breakfast and for example there was this musli which which it was homemade, but I know exactly which one it is to buy in the shop, and it's not a pricy one or anything, just a very simple one. I found that a bit strange.
So, overall we loved the stay but the breakfast could have been so much nicer and a bit more special. I was happily surprised about how friendly the staff was and the location can't get any better, so I would definitely recommend this place:)!

Dear hannasuomalainen1, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience, and I am happy to hear that you had a nice stay with us with so many things living up to your expectations! I am glad that you enjoyed your room and the shower products that were offered, and that the staff were able to help you upon arrival to a more suitable room for the three of you. It is great to hear that the staff did such a good job welcoming you, we always strive for giving first class service and reading comments like yours lets us know we are working in the right direction, so thank you for that! I am sorry to hear you were disappointed about the breakfast. We have chosen to focus on a breakfast buffé with healthy and energizing products to give our guests a good start to their day. We understand that everyone has different preferences but we hope that everyone will find something they like. We do however work on finding new ways to make our breakfast even better, so I really appreciate you letting us know of the things we could have done better. Thank you again for your detailed review and an even bigger thank you for being our guest. We hope we get the pleasure of welcoming you back very soon! Since I have to be in Stockholm on a regular basis, I tend to always stay at Story Hotel. The rooms are cosy and it is situated very central with multiple metro and bus stations within walking distance. The bar and restaurant are great and the staff (at least at the reception) is always friendly. During my last stay, I was allocated a room with carpet floor for the first time and since I travel a lot for work, my only requirement and wish is: NO carpet floors. The girl at the reception was extremely lovely and instantly let me move into one of their beautiful wooden floor rooms. Made my day and night!!! Highly recommend.

Nice room. Large breakfast. Quiet hotel. Near bus, tramway, metro; so it is very easy to go to the most important museum and places of Stockholm: Vasa , Modern Museum, National Museum, Royal Palace, cathedral, Historiska Museum. There are many restaurants near the hotel. There is also a"Seven Eleven" shop very near in which you can buy goods to eat.
But,on the TV there is no international channel like CNN, BBC, Euronews, TV5. The bath-room is small and when taking a shower, you will have puddles of water outside the shower cubicle.

Dear Jean-Marie D, Let me start by saying thank you for this fantastic review! It is so great to hear that you had a pleasant stay with us and that so many things, including your room, lived up to your expectations. We appreciate you sharing your thoughts with us regarding the bathroom since we are constantly working on finding new ways to improve and make our hotel even better! I am also very happy to hear that that you enjoyed the location. Like you say, we are a very central hotel with many things just around the corner, such as museums, supermarkets and restaurants, which I am happy to hear that so many of our guests appreciate, including you! Regarding the breakfast, although we have chosen to focus on a slightly smaller breakfast, we hope to give our guests the best start to their day as possible by offering healthy and organic products, and I am glad that it was to your liking! Thanks again for your kind feedback and for being our guest here at Story Hotel Riddargatan. We hope we get the pleasure of welcoming you back very soon! My daughter and I stayed here for 5 nights in May/June. We had a superior room, which was still small, but roomy enough for the two of us as we weren't spending a lot of time in the room.. Our room had a desk and fridge. The lighting in the room, while cool looking, was marginal. The bathroom was adequate in size (not a lot of counter space) but had heated floors which really warmed up the bathroom so any clothes we washed in the sink dried quickly.
Breakfast was excellent, very Swedish. There was a good selection of items breakfast items, mostly cold such as yogurt, soft boiled eggs, bread and meat. If you're looking for bacon and eggs, this isn't the breakfast for you.
Ask for a quiet room if there is one. Our room overlooked the street and the bar and was very noisy. It was warm enough to want the windows open, but too noisy to have the them open.
The location in Ostermalm was very central. it was a 5 minute walk around the corner to the metro and a quick metro ride to the airport. Shopping and restaurants and the Ostermalms Saluhall were within a 10 minute walk.
Staff was nice and helpful as well. We would recommend this hotel and stay here again.

So I stayed for 7 days as we moved our office, it is convenient to the finance district as well as the old town, and walking distance to the Vaas museum and other attractions at the far end of the port.
The rooms have an original design that may make you think they are still decorating (This is the feedback on my photoa which may not do it justice) but trust me they are well maintained, the staff are tremendous and work hard to make your stay the best possible in Stockholm.
The only gripe I had, and I decided not to alter my score was after my first night I couldn't get into my room, and when I went to reception it is because they wanted to remind me that you could not smoke in the rooms, I have pit this down to a misunderstanding and should not reflect badly on the hotel.
The management team should be proud of their staff and their establishment, if I am back in Stockholm I will be back.

Upon arrival Synith(sp) greeted us with a huge smile and open arms. We arrived very early (9:00 AM perhaps). As she was getting us checked into her system, she showed us into the restaurant and provided coffee and seating which was a welcoming need. When a hiccup occurred (she didn’t show our prepayment in the system) I explained that our payment was secured and our leader was in the States and sleeping due to time difference, without hesitation she gave us our keys and rooms and said “not to worry “. What a wonderful welcome!!! Thank you to all the staff for a wonderful 5 days.

Centrally located boutique hotel. Arrived at about 11.30am and my room was ready. Yes the room was a little on the small side , but had a safe and the bathroom was big enough and shower worked perfectly. Staff were very attentive and dropped an iron and iron board to my room when asked. Breakfast was of a good quality and a large section on offer. I would stay here again in my next visit to Stockholm.

Stayed here for a few days in Attic room. Overall, I had very nice stay and would love to come back here again if I had the opportunity
Good:
Room: Attic room was the highlight of our trip as the room really felt like nice airBnB. super spacious, nice design throughout and super comfortable. I'd say it had some wasted space (expected since it is an attic after all) and it has stairs in the unit which is fine but a bit dangerous for families with toddler. but at the end, it was pretty cool stay- and we used kitchen/fridge extensively
Location: Nice location in the center of the Stockholm close to shopping, river, grocery, foodhall, transportation, etc. not much to complain there but I guess the generic shopping streets felt like any other European city you may run into and more interesting neighborhood is a bit farther away. but that's small deal.
breakfast was OK but not exceptional.
Bad:
Not much to point out except our tv did not have wifi connectivity and it took 2 days to sort out. probably not the hotel's fault but felt like it was dragging a bit. shame because the room was perfect for netflix
Noise- there's some noise in the lobby connected to backyard but noise didn't reach our room. I can imagine lower fl can hear them more.

We booked a shuttle bus through Expedia for both directions. I think it left about every 15-20 mins. It goes to the bus station in the centre, from there we walked which took about 20-30 mins but you could get a taxi.
I think it was about £20 return
We caught the express train from the airport to the central station (20 minutes) and then walked. An easy walk taking about 20 minutes.
No there’s no gym.
Hi,
Thank you for your question. We do not have air-conditioning in the public areas or in the rooms.
