All of our rooms are individually furnished and no rooms are alike. On the 5th floor you can enjoy the feeling of a penthouse with wooden beams in the sloping ceiling. The furnishing is meant to give you that homey feeling, with furniture in different styles. The rooms have different views such as street, park and waterfront.

Neighborhood
Norrmalm
Norrmalm is Stockholm’s most central and busiest neighborhood. It’s home to the main shopping street, Drottninggatan, and to Stockholm icons like the Sergels Torg glass obelisk, the famous Hay Market with its Carl Milles sculptures, and the Hötorget Skyscrapers, a sight on every other Stockholm postcard. Norrmalm is also home to Sweden’s most traditional department stores Nordiska Kompaniet and Åhléns City juxtaposed with Stockholm’s most modern shopping mall, Mood Stockholm. Visitors to this area get to experience the unique Swedish philosophy of protecting cultural heritage while also staying on top of fashion innovation and modern architecture.

A charming hotel, very well located close to old city and the museums in walking distance. Delicious breakfast and cuisine. Rooms are nice and space -even the smallest! Enjoy the 2no small longes on each floor for private meetings and business work

Do yourself a favour and give the big chain motels a miss. Instead stay at this boutique luxury hotel. With it’s very comfortable and well furnished rooms, the great staff and its feel at ease atmosphere. The whole place just felt right. I’m very glad we stayed there. Easy walks to everything we wanted to see and do.

Perfectly situated small hotel that provides understated service in sumptuous surroundings. Close to the old town for the cultural walk and to Norrmalm for the shopping walk. Best of all right next to the National Museum which is a must visit.

The hotel is located in the harbor, so most of the rooms have nice views, which is rear. Unless you are « so lucky » to get one of the 4 rooms on the ground floor, than you will have to keep your window blinds close all the time, so that people outside dont see you. Those 4 rooms not just located on the ground floor, they are actually are « an apendix » to the restaurant with everyday parties till late. We got one of this rooms and that was very unpleasant experience. 1. We had to pass by the restaurant and stuff corridor to get to our room. 2. They organize a storage of restaurant’s furniture in front of our room entrance (see photo) And it’s not all... 3. We stayed 3 nights, hotel is declaring to have full room service on daily basis. Not only we didnt have cleaning on the second day (and we were out in city from early in the morning till 3pm), they never changed bedlinen or towels... 4. Its dirty, like super dirty. Tonnes of dust everywhere...(see photo) As I said those rooms are for the restaurant, so more like one night stay for those who drunk or have a romantic date. I was even afraid to put our close on «the love sofa » in our room, seating there was not an option (see photos). We found stain on the bedlinen the day of check-in, this is how it was easy to note it was never changed during our stay...(see photo) 5. There is no one to meet you on arrival or to help you with luggage, check-in is very autonomous. The tagline of the hotel is “Music, cocktails, dinner, rooms”... which is so honest... rooms are the very last priority here!

Dear Jules_RD, Thank you very much for leaving us this most valuable review. We are so sorry and feel extremely embarrassed for the poor cleaning you experienced. This is of course in no way acceptable and is not how the cleaning level should be presented. There is always the option to ask for a room move if you are not happy with your room and we are sad to read that you did not receive the cleaning needed. Of course we would like to make this up to you and show you what a true Lydmar Hotel experience should be like. If you would consider giving us a second chance, please contact me directly. My sincerest apologies and kindest regards, Cecilia Björklund Sales & Marketing Manager cecilia.bjorklund@lydmar.com
