Stayed here for a conference two days and everything was to my safisfaction. The cabins are big and has everything you need like kitchenstuff, washing machine and tv. Wifi was good everywhere. I was not so impressed with the vegetarian food. At dinner the waitress told everyone about the food but not about the vegetarian food. Thats boring and not good service. This place must be perfect for familys with kids in the summer.

We only stayed for one night with the purpose to visit the zoo and amusement park the next day. The hotel is placed a bit outside north of Gävle city centre, but it took only 10-15 min to the city centre by car. The area is very nicely located next to the sea. The flat must have been very newly build because everything was very nice and fresh. We are 5 in our family with 2 adults and 2 teenagers and one 10-year-old and there was plenty of space for everyone. 3 bedrooms, 2 toilettes! and a fully equipped kitchen (except for a washing machine!) to make our own dinner (and save some money). There is a small swimming pool that was nicely heated, and the kids appreciated to play in it before dinner. There are also plenty of space in the garden where you can play football, mini golf etc. There is also a small beach and a sauna and hot tub next to the sea (we never tried it, but it looked good). We paid for breakfast the next day and it was very well worth it, and the staff was very nice and helpful. Highly recommended! We will come back!

We slept 2 nights in this hotel, which is quite far from the city. Taxi drive lasts for about 15 minutes from city center and the price is around 250 SEK. The location of the hotel is great, it lies at the lake shore. Apartment was stylish, clean and well furnished, though the bed was uncomfortable a bit.

We stayed one night here. We loved the rooms, the staff was very helpful. We ate dinner at the restaurant, which was nothing special. My wife's steak came cold. The rooms are super nice. There seems to be a bunch of refuges also staying here, which kind of takes away from the resort feel of the place. It makes it feel like more of a refugee camp than a resort, which I didn't book for. Right now all we can hear is the pounding of feet coming from the place above ours, sounds like they are playing soccer or something. When we first got here we thought it was the nicest place we had been on our trip.... now we don't feel that way. That's to bad.

We visited Engeltofta Sea Lodge during a heat wave in July. The place seems very popular with the locals; on a beautiful day, the Engeltofta beach is lively and full of people, and the parking area overflows with cars. The lodge has a private inner courtyard with a pool, so the locals won't bother you too much if you don't want them to. However, you have little privacy from the private pool area, especially if you end up with an apartment on the first floor as we did. You can easily see inside the apartment living rooms, and you will hear everything that goes on near the pool. Due to lack of noise isolation and the need to keep doors and windows open when it's hot, you cannot get away from loud conversations or the sound of children playing. The lodge is new, clean, and well furnised with brand-new Ikea furniture. The wifi is excellent. The apartment lacks any air conditioning at all, which makes for rather uncomfortable living and low quality, sweaty sleep when the outdoor temperatures rise over 25 celsius. If you are bothered by noise or heat, or if you appreciate your privacy highly, I would recommend avoiding Engeltofta. Otherwise, the place is nice, a good distance away from Gävle, and worth considering.
