This hotel is centrally located. Scandic Hotels vary substantially. This is an older Scandic. Rooms are basic, reasonably clean but walls are in need of a good paint. However, Kiruna as a city is being relocated, so I suppose Scandic too will have to go-into a new a building then. There is a good gym with nice views. Sauna is...

Hi and thank you for your input. We are so sorry that you didn`t like the food, sorry that you were too tired to talk with the staff so we could sort things out on site. Enjoyed our trip to Kiruna and had a great stay at Scandic Ferrum. I would agree with another reviewer in the fact that the hotel needs a little updating on decorum. Otherwise I would have given it a 5 star review. The staff were great! Friendly and very accommodating and the breakfast was fantastic with a great selection and good...

I would definately recommend the Ferrum if you stay in Kiruna. But it gave me quite a feeling of Overlook Hotel; mountain style, empty (until the New Years Eve guests arrived), 80's style deco and colour combination and a bit out of date. I expected the two girls turn up at every corridor corner. In need of renovation? Yes, but...

I stayed at the Hotel Scandic Ferrum in Kiruna two non-consecutive nights (December 9 and 11) during my short trip to the northern lights hunting. The hotel is located in the main square of the city and everything is within easy walking distance (tourist office, train station, shops, pubs etc ...). The Hotel is a modern building of several floors...

A lot of folks I met out and about near Kiruna had opted for the Ice Hotel, which seemed to be part of a holiday package and around 10km from Kiruna. I chose to go my own way, staying at the Scandic Ferrum and felt it was a better option given its location. Kiruna is a small place and the...

we stayed two nights in kiruna trying to see the northern lights (we didn't boo hoo), the hotel is big, spacious and has a nice lounge area, it got several small restaurants nearby and I would recommend the Spys restaurant if you want something a bit fancier.

We stayed at this hotel in the centre of Kiruna as part of a week long holiday in Lapland... Thank God we only stayed 2 nights! The hotel is not horrible. The place is not dirty. The food or restaurant service is actually very good. The rooms are actually very comfortable. The location next door to the start point for...

I'll keep it brief. The food was NOT good. It was generic. Either it was too salty, or tasteless. Room is not cozy and a bit compact for my taste. Other than that, the hotel is in a good location, the views and shops are nearby. Would I recommend it, probably. It's not a bad experience, just mediocre.

The hotel location is great, in the middle of town, with a great view over the mine. However the service does not live up to the price range they are in.
