My family stayed here on our visit to Copenhagen. We had 2 rooms since we were traveling with our adult children. The location was excellent. Great part of town and just steps from the train station and Tivoli Gardens. Tons of restaurants nearby. Our room was small as to be expected in a city hotel, but our sons’ room was actually very roomy and comfortable. Shower water pressure was good. Beds were comfortable. Our only complaint was the pillows were rather flat and could have used a 2nd pillow. Breakfast was good. A nice buffet of cold cuts, breads, etc with also some scrambled and boiled eggs and sausage. Plenty of tea varieties as well. The breakfast room could get very busy and crowded, but we didn’t have any issues with food or seating. Finally, the staff was outstanding! Everyone was very helpful and friendly, they went out of their way to answer questions and give recommendations for the best places to eat and visit. Would definitely stay again!…
The title of this review is ‘the most beautiful hotel I’ve even stayed in’ and it’s probably not to everyone’s taste, but I personally love how the interior of this hotel looks. Those vibrant colours are one of the main reasons why we chose to stay in it. The outside looks grand too. Since the appearance is 5* I’m pleased to say the experience of staying there was 5* as well. The staff were welcoming and professional upon our arrival. Check-in was extremely fast because we’d completed our form electronically beforehand. When we entered our room we found it to be in good condition and again, very beautifully decorated. The 5* touch though was to leave a card welcoming us by name to the hotel, as well as a small gift. The visit happened to be for our 10th anniversary so we found this to be really lovely. The breakfast was nice. I’ve become a drinker of fruit tea as a result of the delicious teas they serve. Next to the buffet area is the bar, which often had a happy hour during which the drinks prices were very reasonable for a hotel bar, or a bar in Copenhagen (or both). It’s also a wonderful place to sit and have a drink if you like the interior design like I say. In terms of other facilities we used, we were able to change some money at the reception without a charge, and similarly the luggage room was free. The location is excellent. The central train station is a five-minute walk away and there are numerous bars and restaurants within a five to ten-minute walk. The overall price was good value in this regard, when compared to the increase to stay for example in the centre of Amsterdam rather than the outskirts. Overall then I struggle to find a negative point to make. This hotel was amazing and I’d recommend it to anyone wanting a fantastic place to stay in Copenhagen.…
Other than no child locks on windows Brilliant hotel clean and friendly highly recommend, in a great location for the whole of Copenhagen. Our family will hopefully get back soon to see some more Thank you again
my second stay here. hard to beat the location close to the train station and near lots of restaurants and shops. staff is friendly and helpful. the lift is quick to the upper floors (which I needed to use after the marathon so I was grateful). room is clean and a decent size. would stay again!
We stayed here for 2 nights before our cruise from Copenhagen. Brilliant Hotel, great service and very central. Rooms spotlessly clean as all other public areas, all staff very professional polite and courteous all a real credit to the hotel group. Room decor lovely and clean with all amenities catered for, only 1 small issue the step into the overhead bath shower was really high for both myself and my husband and would be ideal if it had a grab rail to help getting in and out. Breakfast lovely and loads of choice again staff in breakfast rooms all very nice and polite and courteous. All in all a lovely hotel and definitely 5 star in my opinion will definitely go back to Copenhagen in the future and I would definitely stay in the Absalon again.
This hotel is beautiful, the staff behind reception greeted us with such friendliness and this continued throughout the stay. Our room was ready on arrival and it was stunning! Despite being such a big hotel it still felt very personal and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast each morning was plentiful and something for everyone I feel. The location is perfect, very central and having stayed at the sister hotel The Andersen just across the road I’m pleased that it lived up to its great standards. Housekeeping is optional and if you choose not to have it you can choose a gift for free in the form of a voucher or half price bike hire, great incentive! We had drinks in the bar and the staff were very knowledgeable and made great cocktails! The hotel was fully booked at the time of our stay and this was apparent with the many guests at breakfast, but the service was still impeccable and we were given a late checkout without any problem. Wonderful stay in a beautiful city and will look forward to our next visit.…
Apart from friendly staff , I do not recommend this hotel. The breakfast was very basic and in a very basic basement , not cosy at all en very crowdy I expect more services and utilities in a 4 star hotel and more choice during breakfast We could not open the window at night , to noisy and we could perfectly follow the conversation of theneighbours in the room next to ours .... Conclusion : bad experience and not at all value for money
I enjoyed my stay. Very friendly, central and good quality hotel with stylish and cosy decorated rooms. The WiFi was good enough to have couple of Teams calls, I slept well and the breakfast was adequaty in selection with healthy options. Excellent location next to the fair event I was attending but also middle of the cafes and restaurants region.
Perfect place to stay. 2 minutes from the train station, 5 minutes from Tivoli. Walking distance of town and plenty of parks. Can’t fault it. Breakfast was delicious. All the staff were happy, Friendly and helpful. Will definitely return and recommend to anyone to stay there.
Enjoyed a 3 night stay great position for Tivoli gardens and train station managed to walk everywhere. Hotel clean comfortable and friendly staff I would recommend and return. Loved the deco liked the vouchers if you decline cleaning we chose bar vouchers only there for 3 nights.
