What a lovely hotel in a great location with wonderful staff. The rooms are eclectic in their design and the hotel has some really quirky/charming touches throughout. The bar buzzed in the evening, the food is delicious and the beach restaurant just adds to the experience.
We had a lovely one-night stay at Guldsmeden Babette with our dog. The rooms are really cozy, bed is comfortable, in-room products are luxurious and their digital guest journey kept us informed and made us feel very well seen and appreciated. We also ate at the restaurant's garden (because of the dog), but it was a very nice experience with warm atmosphere, good fish food and really lovely service.
Great hotel with great service. Although not spacious, the room and bathroom were thoughtfully appointed with space for luggage and hanging clothes, spa-quality bath amenities, comfy and high quality bedding. We loved the rooftop lounging area, sauna and steam room. Breakfast was excellent, and there were several indoor and outdoor seating areas for dining and drinking. Location was great for strolling the Kastellet, 10 minute walk from a train station. Highly recommend and would definitely stay here again!
Babette Guldsmeden is ideal if you want to be in a quieter section of central Copenhagen, but still close to many of the main attractions. It is located on the northern park of central Copenhagen, so an easy walk to Nyhavn, Rosenborg, and Stroget; but it is a bit far to walk to Tivoli. The rooms are on the smaller side, but well appointed. Service is very professional, and the hotel very clean. It is a stretch to call it a 4-star hotel, mostly as it lacks the fullest range of services, has small common spaces, and is not quite as nice as true 4-star hotels in the area. However, it is also therefore priced accordingly. We had rooms on the top (5th) floor, and the hotel is a bit higher than its neighbors, so we had very nice views toward Frederik's Church and could see across the city. The rooms are small but nice, so good to sleep and rest in, but you would not want to spend too much time in the room or hotel.…
Above expectations ! Charming small room. with an incredible roof top spa over Copenhague ! Love the organic breakfast… It is worth the price. Location is 15 mn walk to the top centrum. Bla-bla-bla bla-bla-bla bla-bla-bla bla-bla-bla bla-bla-bla
This is a really cool boutique hotel in the heart of Copenhagen… loved it and it’s atmosphere and excellent service and comfy bedrooms. Try out the rooftop terrace where you can have a sauna and ice bucket while enjoying the views of this beautiful city.
Located near the Metro, (including the Metro from the airport). across the street from beautiful Churchhill Park, and a short walk to The Little Mermaid. Restaurants, coffee shops, and a few museums are also nearby. The hotel restaurant is excellent. All staff were very helpful, polite and professional. Will definitely book this hotel again for my next trip to Copenhagen.
We were in room 515. A really beautiful view. The quirky building means that every room is different with charming details held over from the industrial use of the building, The room lives up to its "Eco" billing and is generously stocked with a variety of eco-friendly amenity products. The beds and linens were very comfortable and the rough weave towels were surprisingly soft and absorbant. The breakfast was varied and generous with fresh bread and butter, eggs, bacon, chesses and cereals. The staff is friendly, helpful and accommodating.
I had the wonderful privilege of staying here for 2 nights and I have to say this was one of my favorit boutque hotel experiences i have had in many years. I have traveled around the world and Babette Guldsmeden is the best o them all!
Charming hotel with a real POV. Loved the decor and ethos. I was traveling with my three teens and to find a room That fits that is not in a generic, modern hotel is a feat. We got a little sweet, snug but fine. One on the couch bed in the sitting area, me and another on the big bed. Lovely bathroom. Enjoyed the tub. Perfect location. Next to a beautiful park with the Danish resistance museum and the extraordinary design museum which also had an excellent cafe. All without hopping on a bike. But we did rent the hotel bikes and go all over. Perfect. Their restaurant looked nice but mostly a fish place which son wont eat so we never ate there. There was an ample breakfast that could be bought, but I like to go out to eat so never took part. Nice staff. Would definitely return
