This hostel is very near the main train station, with lots of cafes, supermarkets and shops around. The room for four people was basic but clean. Perfect if you're looking for a value centric option. Bed was comfy but pillow needed to be renewed!
For a ‘deluxe double’ I don’t know what was deluxe about it! There was very limited facilities, no tv, no coffee making and 1 hand towel each for your showering needs! But it did have a very noisy fridge.... the beds were terrible and for a double room the gave 2x single duvets? Asked for a extra pillow and were given 1 extra to share 🤯 This is absolutely more of a hostel than a hotel and should be charging accordingly. The booking advert was misleading when we chose to pay more for the deluxe option. The location was good and central and the room was clean even though basic. If you have anyone with mobility issues DO NOT come here - even though there is a lift it stops half way between the levels. You still have stairs to climb.
Is a great starting point for a city break. The rooms are clean, the kitchen is a bit used, but you can prepare a tea or a coffee. The shower in our room was not really useful but we get every day clean towels. Is a great value for the price in Copenhagen Center. I would recommend for short term visits.
You cannot trust what the hotel-staff tells you. I called in to cancel a booking I had with Løven Hotell and was told that the front desk would arrange this. Still, I was deducted the full cost of the stay. I called the hotel to ask why I had been charged for the stay. The front desk then replied that they couldn't help me over the phone there and then. They wanted me to send a mail so that the right person would call me the same day or the next day. This happened about 4 times before I came in contact with the manager of the hotel. The manger would not help me with the problem. He replied that they have the guidelines on their site as to cancellations, and that they must be made over the net. He would therefor still charge me for the full stay, even if the staff told me otherwise. This only shows how little help they are at the front desk when they respond incorrectly, and let the consequences go to the customers.…
Looks like a hostel but does not have the quirkiness of a hostel. Linoleum floors, noisy, no amenities. And all of this would be ok if the price was reasonable but even for Scandinavia this was way too much. Never ever again.
