This was a superb find. Great location. Very funky, chic, attractive lobby. Wonderful service from all people, receptionists, servers. Free wine happy hour and late cocktail hour were very nice touches, brings guests together in very social setting. Restaurant Vaest was very good! Loved, loved, loved this place!
Nice hotel one of the best in Copenhagen, only the rooms to the street side a little bit loud. The atmosphere and the rooms are perfect. The restaurant next to the hotel VAEKST is a must have, if you stay at the SP34.
Entrance was a little tricky to find - reception was part of the bar. The hotel is a bit of a maze and quite narrow. The room itself was fine but more like a 3* hotel, small pillows and not a great shower. Gym area was really dirty and therefore unused. No pool. Breakfast was outstanding (have to give them real credit here with a lot of organic options and a juice bar). Not really value for money. Some people will love this new trendy type of hotel - I'm not one of these people.
My wife and I had a wonderful stay at Hotel SP34, staying in the Penthouse for our 5 year wedding anniversary. The room was beautiful, nice big bathroom, and the balcony was so relaxing after exciting days around Copenhagen. The location is great, nice and safe area with great parks and easy walk to Tivoli Gardens & St Peders Bageri. The hotel lobby bar is great, lots of interesting people and conversations to be had, especially at the complementary wine hour and nightcap!
Love the buzz in the lobby in all brochner hotels - always a great atmosphere, and equally good for business and private stays. Do not miss the complimentary wine hour :) Great conference facilities and service. The breakfast is amazing - cool restaurant with indoor greenhouse serving ecological and homemade fresh jucies, coffee and smoothies. Restaurant VÄKST is new nordic food - high quality at reasonable prices.
Great central location, rooms are of a poor quality. The small is tiny. The paintwork is chipped. There are very few plugs in the room to charge devices. The atmosphere inside the rooms are dark and gloomy. There is no warmth. I shared my experience with the staff and they did not really help to make my stay better. I expected better.
We had a very good time. Location was perfect and un the same time close from the train station for the needs we had to go outside of the city. Breakfast was very good and the service excellent. The only "bémol" was the noice in the night, as we couldn't open the windows in the night (no air conditioning)
Would recommend for style and location, lovely staff, great communal space and generous offers. Food was excellent - Vaekst served incredible food, and the breakfast was lovely, good choices. Superior Double Room felt a little small with a campbed for our 12 year old.
Where to start. We have stayed at SP34 6 times in the past, each time we had the same room. I emailed 3 months in advance requesting that specific room and was told they would make note of it. Upon arrival, we learned at the train station the road was closed for a party so we would have to walk 10 minutes to the hotel w/ 2 large suitcases & 3 carry on bags. The street was crowded & the hotel was packed so we were left to find our room using their self check in. We couldn't find it, the electronic key didn't work, we were back in the lobby waiting 20 minutes for help. We finally made it to room 502. A room that should NEVER be offered to a paying guest. It was in the attic of the hotel, had 2 tiny windows, NO LIGHT, was incredibly hot, and dingy. It was the worst room I've ever seen. I went back down to the front desk to be told that is the only room available. After 10 minutes, we were switched to another room. Slightly better in terms of the fact it had windows, yet the toilet was dirty with someone else's excrements (fun!), the windows couldn't be opened because it was facing a very loud street, & it was INCREDIBLY hot. We were given a small fan which had to sit on a chair next to our bed every night. The shower and sink in bathroom didn't drain. Surprisingly, it got worst. We got a bad nights sleep cause the pillows are awful, yet were excited for breakfast cause it's always been so good. Only to see that the food was mainly gone & not being replaced. No juices, no spreads, no fruit. We sat down & ordered the same ginger shots we ordered all of our prior visits, told we couldn't get ginger shots. So we ordered two hot coffees. They brought us our coffees & proceeded to spill a burning hot coffee all over me. From my neck to my pants, to my phone- completely drenched. She stood there & did nothing. My husband ran to get napkins & helped me clean up. We went straight to the front desk, drenched in coffee. I requested they wash my clothes, which they said they didn't do (not true- they have cards in the room for this). My phone didn't charge for 3 days either, as it was logged w/ liquid. They said they would speak to management & said we could move to a suite. At this point, we didn't want to pack up & move rooms. More work for us. I requested the breakfast be comped as well as our bikes, they said yes & management would look into what else they could do. Needless to say, they did nothing. Charged us for bikes, breakfast, and never heard back. …
The room wasn't what we expected because we have been staying at this hotel before. This time we where 3 friends and called in advance to check about the room and beds before booking the hotel. The extra bed was horrible, the room very small and no aircondition. It wasn't suppose to host 3 people. No toiletpaper and etc. We mentioned it in the reception and they would see what to do.
