What I loved: - Ideal location in the city centre, only minutes' walk from the Central station (20 mins to the airport by train). - Beautiful, high quality and considered design with a focus on sustainability. - Exceptionally warm service from the front desk, offering us wine on the house, fruit and providing slippers with us in advance. - Good...

Hotel is centrally located wirh a quick acsess to the train station, Tivoli Park, shopping. Rooms are nicely decorated in 50s style with comfortable bed, nice showeres with all amenities you need. The lobby deserves a spesial mention : it looks like a study room filled with table books and magazines.

This hotel is a relatively short walk from Tivoli Gardens and the main shopping area, and is next to a fast food restaurant in case of late night munchies. The room was decorated nicely if not excessively stylishly (as some of the reviews had suggested). I'd heard in advance of residents being offered wine by receptionists in the evening but...

We had a brilliant stay in this hotel. The decor is exceptional. Our room looked out to a fairly busy road but the windows were triple glazed so we only heard the odd siren or two. The room was clean an relatively spacious. The only small thing which let the room down was the bathroom which was pretty basic.

Friendly staff, lovely decor. I'm a big fan of Danish modern furniture, so this was right up my alley. Lobby was a lovely place to have a drink, listen to music, read. Bathroom could use an update. Restaurants in Copenhagen close early so it would be nice if the hotel restaurant offered later options and/or room service.

A fabulously quirky hotel, wonderfully presented with cool Danish furniture and bits and pieces from across the decades. The staff were very friendly, letting us check in early and couldn't have been more helpful. Loved the little lounge and the honesty bar. Enjoyed the Bluetooth speaker in the room. Position was perfect for the station and getting around the attractions....

Perfect location, amazing service and cool hotel. The people at the reception were very helpful. The room was pretty well sized though the bathroom was small (you get way you pay for) and this was well priced. Bicycles free to hire

Great location- walking distance to Tivoli Gardens and City Hall, as well as to shopping and beyond. Friendly front-desk staff. Clean and space-efficient room, and I really liked their voucher deal where you get a pretty substantial discount off a meal at the hip Thai fusion restaurant next door if you forgo room cleaning. I wish they did that in...

Friendly reception staff who made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Recommended great restaurants nearby. Loved the Wegner-designed furniture in our room. Made me want to return early just to relax in the comfortable chairs! But before that, a surprise glass of wine was offered at the hotel reception area where I could thumb through the many books...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Probably the only spot on Earth where you can sit in, rest in, sleep in and admire so many pieces of Danish mid-century vintage furniture. Hotel Alexandra is a small, authentic, boutique hotel in Copenhagen - just around the corner of the City Hall Square, the Latin Quarter, the main shopping area and Tivoli Garden. Hotel Alexandra has over the past years collected a large collection of the world famous Danish mid-century vintage furniture and decorated the rooms with them. The rooms also have textiles, wallpapers and other gems that take you back in time to experience living like the design loving Danes did it in the 50’s and 60’s. As soon as you step into the Hotel Alexandra, you step into a time bubble – you can relax in the lobby, where during evening hours you can put on your favourite vinyl record from our selection, enjoy a free glass of wine and take a moment to take a closer look at one of our many designer books from our lobby library, all the while being surrounded by the finest Danish designer furniture. ... more   less
