Great city center location. Mins walk to bars, restaurant, Nyhavn, shopping... everything really. Rooms are small but we didn't mind as we weren't in them much. Very secure and safe. Key card needed to access lifts, stairs etc. Good priced room... but its not work upgrading your room if you don't plan on being in the room a lot as... More

It was in an excellent location - only a couple of minutes walk from the nearest metro station. The rooms were certainly very small, but clean and uncluttered, so it was a good place to stay for a weekend visit. Would stay here again.

Great location! Short walk from Kongens Nytrov station which you can reach via the M2 metro direct from the airport. The hotel is incredibly clean and quiet! Close to Nyhavn which is a beautiful area.

Stayed here for 2 nights while visiting Copenhagen. Hotel is very central with bars and shops nearby. Hotel itself is nice and clean, still feels new. The rooms are quite small and basic but modern looking. There is not much privacy between the bathroom and bedroom - only privacy glass. Rooms are like pods. Staff friendly and helpful and no... Central location, super clean, super modern. Only negative is the 11am checkout, should be midday. Very relaxed atmosphere in general. 5minute walk to main city centre. Great prices, rooms are small but perfect for a short break. Would definetely recommend and return!

To find this hotel, at this price, in this location was a highlight of our recent trip to Copenhagen. An added bonus being breakfast included. Stunningly modern the Wakeup is in a quiet street and only 5 minutes walk from Nyhavn or the Metro. The Danish design makes the most of the compact rooms which are light, airy and spotlessly... I wasn't really sure what to expect from this hotel however it exceeded all of my expectations! Let me give you a list of what I found excellent about this hotel: - Location: Central. We were able to walk anywhere within the city. No place was further than a 30 minute walk tops. Close to Nyhaven and also the metro... More

As far as hotels go, it is a fairly good base for a stay of any length in a lovely city. There were two reasons why I chose this hotel at the time of booking: 1) the price; and 2) its location. It's not a high-class hotel, and neither does it badge itself as one. It's functional, well laid out,... More

This hotel is a short walk from Kongens Nytorv metro station which is a 15 minute ride direct from the airport for a fare of roughly £3.00. Checking in is an easy process but be sure to try and get an upper floor as this is a lively area during the night and can keep you awake. The rooms with... More

Staying in Indre By (Inner City)

Neighborhood Profile
Indre By (Inner City)
This is the heart of old town Copenhagen, with its blend of charming old buildings and bold new architecture, broad avenues and tiny streets as well as picturesque canals and a modern harbor. The inner city is home to the Royal Danish Theatre, which consists of three buildings, two of which are new and situated on the harbor front. The streets, squares and venues of the inner city and its surrounding neighborhoods, are alive all year round with everything from jazz festivals to outdoor ice skating rinks and parachuting at the lakes right in the center of the city. This compact area boasts beautiful old castles, tranquil parks, and bustling squares where you can always find a bench to stretch out your legs whenever you need a break.
